First of all let me start by saying , we went to Maido on the reccomendation of a sushi chef friend of ours and we could not have been more displeased. The service was terrible and understaffed. We sat without water the entire meal, while the heavily salted bentox box sucked every last drop moisture from our bodies. The miso soup was from an instant packet(please dont bother to call that soup), and the sashimi was on the low end of sushi grade fish. As for my other choice hamachi kama.. lets just say... rushed. Put it this way I debated if I should stop at Wendys on the way home. I will drive the extra 20 min. to Hiros yakko-san in NMB in the driving rain before returning. ps- If you dislike sitting next to gaggles of kids while you dine as much as we do, stay away.

Amazing lowkey spot to eat. The food was delicious and the Sake as well. I had the chicken broth ramen with a poached egg, the tempura cheesecake, and the hot Sake. Every single thing was delicious and the service was great as well. I would definitely dine here again. The food came out hot and quickly. I mean we barely waited even 5 minutes for our ramen to come out. Also, the prices are really not that expensive at all. Most things range from $2 - $12 dollars.

There is a lot of respect that should be given for places like this. It is one of those small strip mall style restraunts. But they are friendly, the food was great, and there was nothing there I could complain about. I visited a lot of other places for sushi and as small as this place is, I would have no problem coming here again before I went to the other more expensive nicer places. My experience was great.

My #1 go to stop for fresh, delicious, and authentic Japanese cuisine. Weve been going here for years and have tried most of the menu, its all amazing. My top favorite items: Battera, homemade tsukemono, Katsu curry, and the refreshing Asahi drafts. And dont forget to try the omakase. While we cant always eat in Japan, Hiroshi and Genya have made eating at Maido just like being transported there.

One the most amazing sushi experience Ive ever had. Everything was so well done, I need another excuse to come back, at the end with the limited stomach room we had, we ended up ordering a couple other pieces a la carte. Wonderful dining experience, the chef was very attentive and helped use chose dishes that suited our preferences. So much love.

The Sushi rolls were very small. The Sushi chef must of got his training online. I could of rolled a spicy tuna roll better then him and my technic sucks. Ive eaten sushi all over the country and Ive never..until tonight..found something positive I can say about the food but I was totally disappointed. Dont waste your money here.

When you walk into a sushi restaurant and there are a lot of Asian people eating there speaking their native language and everything is written in Japanese plus the tuna is dark red (not pink) and the ginger is white, you know your in for the real deal.

Review for lunch: Delicious and affordable bento box specials for lunch. I always go for the sashimi bento, definitely the best one out of all the spots in Doral. Maido also has a lot of traditional Japanese dishes thats hard to find elsewhere.

Overall, Maido is a great Japanese hot meals restaurant in the area, better not try the sushi, the tonkatsu ramen is a must . Uncomfortable seats and not so clean, the price and service are ok. Be sure to look for their specials of the day!

Looking for authentic Japanese food? Maido might just be the place you are looking for. Ive been here for lunch and dinner many times and cant recommend it enough. The Kaisen-Don dish is amazing if you love raw fish dishes. Give it a try!

The owner is awesome. The place is clean. You can see your food made from the bar. The other plates served were looking as good, if not better, than mine!
