Generally speaking, I have not been disappointed very often when I choose the Outback as my Steak Palace. This has been true with the Lake Nona Outback Restaurant as well, that is until recently. I have noticed within the last six to eight weeks that the customer service and the product coming out of the kitchen are beginning to slip and slip in a big way. Back on December I had some friends actually complain about the lack of service and the food beginning to not be the usual spectacular great tasting food that you have become accustomed to at the Outback. I shrugged it off thinking my friends were being a bit to critical. That was a big mistake on my part. Friday, January 8, 2009 we celebrated my wife’s 50th birthday dinner arriving at the Lake Nona Outback at 6 PM with our two sons, my wife, me, and her sister and her brother-in-law for a total of six guests. We attained immediate seating and then waited and waited. We were acknowledged within the first 10 minutes and then we waited again for 10 minutes before our waiter, Pedro, came and took our drink orders. Another wait of 10 minutes and the drinks arrived and whoosh, Pedro was gone again. We waited a total of thirty five minutes before we finally had our orders taken. Not to worry, we arrived at 6 PM and needed to kill some time because we were doing a surprise birthday party in the hood at 9:00 PM . Well to make a long story short, trying to get a glass of water or refill on a drink or beer, or extra brown bread was not happening that night. Either Pedro was given to many tables or somebody called in sick and they just were being overwhelmed by the guests. The kitchen was dropping the ball also with the steaks and salads that were not up the usual excellence. The topper of the night was when I gave Pedro the credit card to pay for the entire group and he disappeared for a half hour while our table emptied leaving my wife and myself to chase our credit card down. I finally waved down a gentleman with short grey hair. And he went on the chase. 5 minutes later Pedro returned with our credit card. We exited at 8:55 PM asking ourselves if we had in fact been to the Outback Restaurant or had we accidently gone to another restaurant called Backout Restaurant by mistake. Well, we will give the Outback another chance at Lake Nona, but at the surprise birthday party we shared our experience with the 40 or so guests and to our surprise, a majority of the parties guests that had just recently dined at this Outback had bad experiences within the last 6 to 8 weeks. What has changed at the Lake Nona restaurant to bring on these comments? Time for management to crack the whip!

We just came and purchase $94 worth of food it was take out. The lady was super nice at first and we told her this food was for a few of us at home if we could get a few loafs of bread. She was so nice and said of course no problem. Then she charges us the food. Mind you it is "take out" nobody is serving us therefore we dont have to tip. But of course we have cash and I always tip after I have my food based on the delivery. As soon as she saw $0 on that tip receipt her face, body language and the way she spoke was even different. She was now short with me and serious not even looking at me when she spoke. When she brought the food she was again not so nice anymore and only one bread in the bag for $94 worth of food. I asked her about the bread and she said to me if you want to wait they are baking. All I have to say is people feel the change. I left when I was leaving she brought me more bread. Even though she brought me the bread I still dont feel like I had a good experience base on her attitude change. And no I didnt tip her, the tip is earned not really on the food but because I like your service. Never again will I order I will just go eat there where the servers are awesome and they know I will tip.

Went to outback at the new location Lee Vista on Sunday the food was excellent so I drive past outback in Lake Nona and drop in thinking I would get a repeat of that meal. WRONG!!! Ordered the chicken tortilla soup which came out freezing cold then had to wait for a replacement which took 15 minutes for no logical reason. Then received my main course of twin lobster tails. One tail was slightly undercooked while the other was completely uncooked. Im now heated and out of patience. The manager (Nate Zeigler) comes over and I tell him So he proceeds to tell me the soup was 15 minutes wait because he made a fresh pot all by himself since he didnt like the way it looked. Hhmmm Im impressed. As the conversation continues he slips up and says but I really love that baked potato soup you had

My wife and myself had spent some time doing some tests at the UCF health clinic nearby and decided afterwards to go to this Restaurant. Last time we both visited an outback restaurant the results were less problematic. This particular restaurant in Lake Nona was simply at its worst. We were attended by a server by the name of Ashley. She was simply a failure as far as we was concerned. After serving our appetizer and meal soon afterwards. She went MIA...although she was serving patrons near our table...she never once looked our way to check on us! Not once! No refill on our drinks, no clearing our table....nothing! Manager did get notified. She was very nice and even gave us a 20.00 gift card which will be given to someone else. We will never go back to any Outback restaurant again.

This place misses on some basic restaurant service. A pick up order was placed but was never repeated back, basic miss. Order was incomplete: wrong size of shrimp order, missing side of cinnamon butter, orders side were mixed, basic miss. Upon calling restaurant manager Evan offer to replace shrimp order on Thursday(Today is Monday) instead of refunding a $6 order of shrimp....basic miss here too. And there was no bread in the bad this time, inconsistency at its best. After a long day of work, if you want to treat yourself please beware of this place and their inconsistencies. There are great places in Lake Nona to eat with excellent service.

We visited one week ago and the service was fairly good; the entree was great (grilled chicken and all-you-can-eat shrimp). The side salad was embarrassing: they should not use iceberg lettuce hearts and wimpy leaves. The server was a bit distracted, got a bit confused about the condiment requests, and was delayed, or rather, not proactive in asking for our shrimp refills. We went again last night. The (other) server was excellent, friendly, and proactive about the shrimp refills. Again, the food was great (grilled chicken and all-you-can-eat shrimp), and the side salad was embarrassingly in worse shape than last weeks version.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! We came and there was no host, the guy on the bar saw us and he didnt even told us where to sit, I had to go by myself for the menu. We asked for bread and the server rolled his eyes, they didnt bring any silverware (we had to ask for it also). My sirloin was super salty and overcooked and I couldnt even tell anyone because guess what? My server never came around to ask if everything was ok, he just came when he saw Ive finished. I told him how disappointed I was and he didnt even apologize. Ha! Never going back.
