I’m staying at the Marriott Stanton South Beach and had a taste for some Mexican food. I found this place was nearby. I looked over their menu on the internet and it seemed appealing, so I took a walk to the restaurant. Upon arriving I noticed it’s entirely outdoors under a series of pop-up tents put tightly together. I didn’t think it was necessary but they had the outside heaters going. It’s some sort of combination Mexican / Italian restaurant as they had a full menu for both types of food. The hostess was very friendly and pleasant. She greeted me promptly and seated me promptly. The restaurant was at about 85 - 90% capacity on a nice, Tuesday night at around 8:30 p.m. When I looked at the Mexican food menu, I immediately noticed a difference between the menu I saw on the internet and the menu I was given. The menu on the internet advertised a Tuesday Taco special but there was no mention of it on the restaurant menu. I also noticed the restaurant prices were slightly higher than what I recalled from the internet menu. I asked the server about the taco special. He said the restaurant has a new owner and they made some changes which aren’t reflected on the website. The Tuesday Taco special was no longer offered. I thought about leaving. It seemed like a bait and switch tactic, but I was hungry so I stuck around. I ordered the Corn Esquites appetizer and the Manzanillo Shrimp Taco platter. The price on the internet for the Corn Esquites was $8 but in the restaurant it was $10.95. The price on the internet for the Manzanillo Shrimp Taco platter was $15.50 but in the restaurant it was $16.95. I thought both items were very tasty. I never had this type of corn on the cob and I’m happy I tried it. The shrimp tacos were overflowing with nicely seasoned shrimp. Overall, I thought the food and service were both very good, and I’m happy I stuck around. I also noticed everyone around me seemed to be enjoying their food. It was a bit more money than I’d like to pay for Mexican food but the restaurant is on the same road as the beach. When I take that into consideration, I thought the prices were quite reasonable. There were a couple odd things I noticed about the restaurant, or at least they were odd to me. First, the music played in the restaurant was a mix of American, Latin, and European nightclub music. It wasn’t terribly loud or overbearing, but it just wasn’t what I’d expect in a restaurant. I’m guessing it was to drown out the noise from people walking by on the sidewalk and noise from passing vehicles. Second, I was getting a little aggravated because I could swear I smelled someone smoking marijuana (I don’t indulge). We were right next to a hotel so I thought some guests were indulging. Well, I was wrong about guests at the hotel smoking marijuana. It turns out the restaurant offers Hookahs to guests, so the odor I smelled was from people smoking a Hookah. I’ve seen this offered in some restaurants in Europe but this was the first time I saw it offered in a restaurant in the USA. I’m not a fan. One final item to note is they add an 18% gratuity to the bill, so the tip is automatically on there. I usually leave 20% or more if the service was good, and the service was good, so I added a few more bucks to the receipt. Overall, it was very good food and very good service. I’m happy I had dinner at this place.

Same story... as mentioned by many other people below. 2 in 1 drink concept is just a trap! We ordered 2 mojitos from menu , it was shown as 15$ for each and one supposed to be free .guess what ?they charged us 70$ for two Cocktails! They told that 2 in 1 cocktails are XL size and costs 35$ each which was never mentioned either in menu or by waitress. So we ended up by paying 35$ for 2 cocktails .Also 18% tip was added to the bill automatically . At the end we discussed 15 minutes for the unfair deal , money was not a problem but their behavior , dishonesty was a big problem for us . They understood that it was a mistake of waitress and as courtesy they gave 2 little cocktails with full of water . Never and never again .

AWFUL! The food here is extremely gross, slimy, greasy and my chicken was raw! The waitress did not even care to clean the table from the previous guests as we sat and waited for 10 minutes. We had to get up and ask them to clean the table. The drinks were ok,...we only ordered BEER! On top of them being clueless we were chard 18% service charge, which is normal for South Beach...but not normal when there was absolutely no service! The bathroom was filthy and when y went inside it smelled so bad. It is quite evident the people who own/run do not care about the food, service or decor. Needless to say WE DO NOT RECOMMEND and will never be returning!!! If I could give it negative stars I would!

What a great experience here! The first day I had the Mexican corn and the chimichangas are sooo good! The Brazilian Caiprinha was my GO TO drink there. It was such a refreshing drink to go with anything. The breakfast specials were amazing as well. You definitely will get your money worth for the portion. My favorite was the applewood bacon, toast home fries and eggs. The staff is the best here. I came here three times during my two day stay because of their hospitality. This restaurant is the place to go for good food, excellent vibes and great service!

Subpar Mexican food restaurant. I mean they dont even serve guacamole its guacamole drizzle. The only thing authentic is the waitstaff. Theyre happy hour is ridiculous. Its something like $25 per person at the table for a shared large margarita with the second one free which makes that a loss of money. Especially because I asked the waiter how much alcohol is in it and he said the equivalent of two drinks. All in all everyone is very nice and the patio, which is shared with an Italian restaurant, is airy but this restaurant did not impress me.

Really awesome place on South Beach! Drinks sub par, but the street tacos are fantastic! We went on a Wednesday and they were 1-3 dollars per taco depending on the meat. Had a great waiter but he didnt spend a lot of time with us, the manager seemed to deliver our food more frequently than the actual waiter did. The rest of the menu is rather over priced similar to the rest of south beach. 14 dollars for chips and guacamole. In most places this would be 8 or less.
