We stopped in here last night on a fluke. The place didnt look too busy, but there were a few Mexican folks eating, so we figured wed try it. We had the chimichangas, quesadillas, tacos and a tamale. All were very good, and seemed very authentic as weve only really eaten Tex-Mex before this. The bar/lounge side of the place allows smoking inside (I didnt know you could still do that in Florida), but they have a smaller dining area near the entrance that seems to be more smoke-free. I imagine the bar/lounge area must be hopping on weekend nights as they have a small stage and all kinds of lighting and huge speakers for blasting music. The service was a bit slow, looked like it was just a mom and daughter running the place and the young lady was very apologetic about the slow service. In the end, it wasnt that bad. They had a jukebox playing Mexican music, which we enjoyed until one of the regulars who had probably had too much cerveza kept turning the jukebox up too loud. The young server kept turning it down and explaining to the man that he was not the only person there. We ate all the above with a Dos X longneck ($3) and a bottle of NA Sangria ($2) for $33 including tax. Overall, the food was good and we will probably give it another try in the near future.

Hidden in a small plaza this place offers an authentic Mexican cuisine visited by locals. This is not your regular Mexican restaurant. They have an outdoor taco stand to pick up and take To Go or sit outside. Meanwhile indoor you can sit-down and order off their menu. To start we ordered a Pico de Galo with chips. The chips were a bit stale and packing salt but the Pico de Galo was fresh and delicious. We had their combination player which included a chimichanga, tostada and a taco with rice and beans. The flavours were authentic and very filling. The service was a bit slow and could use some improvement. We had to get up and go to the counter in order to pay for our meal. But overall a good place if you are looking for tasty food at a very affordable price. The combination plate was $10 and change.

OK so it looks like a small very unkempt place. Then there was just one server who was trying to serve several tables. No English at all so if u go by the book its fine but if u need a special order u have to know Spanish. It took them 45 minutes to even get the order and of course they messed it up the first time and had to redo it again which took more time. By then I was so done that I absolutely felt like crying. The interior is horrible unhygienic and smelly. After all of this food is sure good if u r ready to go through the initial torture.

My family and I had dinner here while on vacation. I had the Tostadas, Husband had the Chicken Enchiladas with tomato sauce and my daughter had the grilled chicken with rice and beans. This food was so freaken delicious. It was all we could think of the next day so we came back again the next evening to eat dinner there again. We all ordered the same meals again. I cant wait to be in the area so I can visit this restaurant again. SO GOOD. And the service was fast as well.

Completely empty on a Sunday around 3 pm. Nonetheless thanks to the great Google Reviews we decided to stay. Excellent decision! Food was homemade and served with natural flavors, no sauces on our burrito or quesadillas to speak of. The decor was "mexican cliche" style , and the dining room doubled as a nighttime dance club. That being said the entire place was clean and is Mexican food Ive eaten since leaving the Southwest USA.

This was some of the tastiest, most authentic Mexican food Ive had. You know its good food when the Caucasians are outnumbered by the Mexicans. The service was a little slow, but only because they seemed short staffed: our waitress was nearly running at some points. The atmosphere was not too fancy and a lot of fun; it felt like we were in Mexico. And as for the value, everything was priced very reasonably.

Chapultepec has some of the best AUTHENTIC mexican food Ive ever had. If youre looking for tex mex, this ISNT the place for you. The salsas and chips are all homemade and SPICY (and delicious). This little restaurant is hidden on 2nd ave just off Hallandale Beach BLVD and I only discovered it accidentally! They have the BEST Agua de Horchata Ive ever had and theyre not expensive! Definitely try the Sopes!!

Delicious! This is just what I was looking for, a real Mexican flavor while being out of Mexico. This place is the real deal, one of the most authentic flavors I had get here in Florida. Dont get scared away by the nothing-out-of-the-ordinary look that Chapultepec has or that the waitress are not Mexican, again I can assure you that the flavor will be like being back home

For all who complain about the service... go find another authentic Mexican restaraunt in the area and make a comparison. Or you can go to Taco Bell or Chipotle and enjoy FAST food. Be for real, this isnt Chilis, or Fridays... be patient, if they dont check on you, call your mother. Food is AWESOME, service is Mexican, and location is perfect. Enjoy and quit bickering...

The food is AMAZING! For once, real mexican food here in Florida. I have travelled to MEXICO over 1000 times & lived in California most of my life, I know Mexican food when I taste it. Believe me you will love this place not only for the food but the reasonable pricing.

Placed a phone order on Cinco de Mayo. Once there they took the person behind me and gave them their food. Then it was my turn and the lady who took my order messed it up and i was my lunch break and couldnt wait for them to make it. Bad service

Im literally sitting in the main dining room waiting for my food, and Im staring at a huge roach that seems to be either slowly dying or air swimming in place. The food was great but the roach shadow dancing in front of the bae must go.
