The worst customer service Ive yet to experience! I used to be a regular but that all changed as the service changed over time. As the place became more popular, the service went from first class to cargo service (FYI: there is no service in cargo). My last experience (after many repeated experiences) was the final straw. It was a Friday night at 7:00pm way before it got busy, I was sitting a the bar waiting to be acknowledged by the bartender. There she was attending and smiling away to all the men around the bar. I had to wave her down to so I could order drinks for my friend and me. Not a single hello or a smile. I placed our order and off she went to serve all the men around the bar with a smile from ear to ear. Coming from the service industry most of my life I notice these things. I start to get irritated because now shes taking her sweet time to make our drinks and when she finally does 15 minutes later after already sitting there for 10 minutes prior, she just drops them in front of us making no eye contact, no smile and doesnt say a word. I decide I no longer want to get served by her so I ask for the bill. Eventually she brings the bill and does not say a single word, does not look at me in the eyes, no thank you and no smile. The gentlemen next to me asks for his bill, she replies with a huge smile, eye contact and acknowledges his request. She immediately brings him the bill and looks at him in the eyes and says thank you have a great evening. At this point I couldnt hold back and I shared my thoughts with her without being disrespectful. I asked her why the treatment was different with the men vs us ladies?? Her reply was that she was busy. I said it was no excuse and I felt discriminated as a woman at a bar. I told her that the 18% gratuity included in my bill was not a free pass to no longer provide good service. My night of bad service did not end there. We went downstairs and sat on a side table outside and ordered food. A waitress approached us to tell us the tables are reserved for bottle service and that we needed to give up the table for the 4 guys that had just ordered a bottle. I thought bottle service was for clubs! We had to give the table and sit on the side with our food on a little sitting stool. Shame on La Cantina for not making a point to provide constant good service without discrimination. Aside from terrible service throughout, the quality of the food has also gone down. I give this place another year unless they do something to improve their service because the manager on site I spoke with didnt seem to moved by my complaint.

This review is solely based on their confusing, false advertising and their lack of customer service - We were not able to drink or eat anything and this is why... Just as the first reviewer said, their "Grand Opening" was said to be on Monday, July 28th. As a matter of fact, we even received an email announcing just that. At the end of the e-mail, it even stated "Hope to see you there!!" When we arrived, there were people at the bar and a few were seated. We were asked if we had a reservation. We said we did not but that was OK, we could sit at the bar or wait as long as we had to. The Hostess proceeded to tell us that the restaurant was not officially opened and that what we were seeing were the family and friends of the owners that were having a private affair and that it was by invitation only. I tried explaining to her that we had an email telling us that the "Grand OPENING" was today and it said "HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE." I even explained to her that we had prior plans that we cancelled in order to attend this "Grand Opening." You would think at this point, the hostess would call a manager over in order to help us but no, she was quite insistent that the e-mail must have been a mistake, that we could not be accommodated, but she would be more than happy to give us a tour. I was thrilled - it was just what I expected - a tour on an empty stomach! While the hostess was not rude and did apologize, I was shocked that was as far as it went, even when we told her we had an E-MAIL sent to us by one of the realtors that work at the building! Clearly, this was some type of confusion or miscommunication on THEIR part but this did not matter to her, it certainly didnt matter enough for her to call management, hence this review. If this is any indication of how they will handle problems that arise when they actually DO open, I am not interested. The absolute LEAST they could have done was have management come over. Better yet, they could have invited us to stay for a drink (we would have been more than happy to pay) rather than been kicked out due to a miscommunication on their part. Incredibly disappointing, frustrating, and unprofessional. Their food better be freaking awesome to make up for their lack of customer service. Just know that if you receive any e-mail about them or from them, call ahead of time and confirm as what you see in writing is not necessarily what they mean.

So Disappointing! DO NOT GO HERE!! Me and about 20 of my coworkers went here for happy hour and every single one of us were over charged. Each of us were charged anywhere from 40-100 more than we ordered. The bartenders added drinks to ALL of our tabs that we didnt order. I can understand that mistakes happen here and there but literally EVERY SINGLE TAB out of 20 of was overcharged! They wont provide an itemized receipt unless you ask for it. The receipt they do provide also does not say that the 18% gratuity is included in the total and they dont tell you! The female bartender was awfully rude and insulting. When I asked her how much a corona was she told me 10-11.. As a bartender myself thats not an answer. I know exactly how much a corona is at my bar - $3 and come to find out the coronas were $8.50 each. Which to me seemed like she was telling me a higher price so I didnt think to question my total being so high.. After going back in person the next day to speak to the manager and explaining to them what was going on with their bartenders overcharging their customers in what seemed like a scheme to get a higher tab to receive a higher tip out. The manager expressed that they would sit down and have a meeting with all of them and return the money they overcharged me back to my card. They only returned half of what they overcharged me. When I call back to speak to the manager I have been placed on hold for 5 minutes at a time and then consistently hung up on. I will not have to take another lunch hour to go there in person to try to resolve this again.. So disappointing! We as a group of 20+ go to happy hour together regularly and would have happily returned but they just lost ALL of our business and the business of anyone we tell of our awful experience here.
