I have come here a few times for drinks and had a very nice time. That wasnt the case 2 weeks ago. I came with a group from The Plantation and we had a very poor experience. First the server wasnt very nice, when we ordered an appetizer she told us to give our dinner order as well, we told her we wanted to wait because we didnt want our food coming until after we were finished with our appetizer and salad, she said well if I dont take it now it could be an hour before you get your food because they had a 40 top party. SO we gave it to her and asked her to make sure we didnt get our food until after we were finished eating our salad an appetizer. So she brings out the appetizer and 2 minutes later the salad. Which was ok, but then we had barely started to eat it and here comes our entree. We asked her to take it back because we werent ready we just received our appetizer & salad and we didnt want our meal to get cold. So when we finished about 7 mins later she brought out our entree, it was cold. Apparently, they dont have a heating table. We called over Ben the manager/owner and he apologized and said he would remake the steak with a fresh one. So not even 3 mins later he brought the plate back out and said it was a new steak. We know for sure 100% that it wasnt. We had cut into the steak and took a bite from the one he took away and the so called new steak he brought back out was the exact same steak because it has the same cut and piece missing. Not to mention it was still cold. All he did was tell the kitchen to nook it in the microwave for 30 seconds to a minute and brought it back out to us.. There is no way you can cook a steak that quick. Please . Ben did all the right things as far as apologizing and willing to fix the issue, what he didnt do is follow through with it and lied to the customers. Ben you are trying to make this establishment work, but when you lie to the customer thinking they are to dense to know what you did is completely the wrong thing to do. I used to enjoy coming to you place, but now myself as well as my date and other party members wont return.

We were there for Leesburg bike week. $24 special dinner for bikers. Got a small plate with a few pieces of lettuce and shredded cheese. And a plastic fork. A plastic fork! They were out of napkins. Actually came n took the extra napkins from the guy next to us. While waiting for the entree, one of the workers came over and was bitching about people willing to buy a $30 t shirt, but not tip well or at all. The woman who was behind the bar was bitching about people asking for an extra cup with their beer. It was 95 degrees, and you charged prolly $7 for a draft beer, so if an extra cup is used to keep the drink cold longer, who cares? Got our dinner finally. A little steak that wasnt bad, a little scoop of potatoes. And a cold, hard roll, that someone thought itd be a good idea to butter on the outside, without cutting it first. Genius right there. $24 a plate for this! Clearly the staff had no idea that a huge bike rally was headed to town. And then there was the bathroom. That more resembled a high school toilet. Pools of water n piss on the floor. Toilet paper all over. Smelled to high hell. I would go there again if I was paid.

I was with a party of five on December 30, 2016. I had taken my granddaughter, my daughter, a BFF, and myself to Sip Restaurant Jazz for the first time. Phil the server was not only professional, friendly, but treated us as if we were royalty. My grands were extremely impressed and they had an opportunity to sing as well as my daughter, my BFF, and myself. Richie, the saxaponist was truly gracious to recognize he had real talent in the house and allowed all of us to be apart of his show. The food was excellent and the prices extremely reasonable. The staff was friendly and professional and did not hesitate to make our stay a joy. I have spread the word in Mt. Dora, Apopka, & Orlando. Thank you all for a night of "Dreams Come True."

We just finished dinner at Sips and we will never go back. The food was just OK and the music was so very loud we could not have a conversation with either the server or each other. We asked if they could turn it down a little and even when they lowered the volume, it was still too loud for dinner conversation. We were there at 6:30 pm so it was definitely the dinner hour. The server was nice and attentive, but we spent far too much money to have an OK meal and an unpleasant experience.

Ive been to Sip twice. Once with my husband with super food and service. Then for my Birthday with my family. There were 16 in the party. The food was great, service a bit slow on one end of our table but not unreasonably. Music was fun my 11 year old and 6 year old grands were the only children. They had a ball, danced the whole night. Food very good. The group as a whole thought it was a wonderful choice. (mine).

All the bad reviews dont surprise me, thats what happens when you serve frozen food and try to pass it off as fresh...funny look whos losing credibility now?? And yes you have a reputation all right as I was told once . And. NOT A Good ONE. All the folks of mt. Dora send their best... NOT!! LOL ..

Sip was absolutely fabulous. I ordered the roast beef panini and my lunch companion order the chicken parm special. We were greeted warmly by the host and our server was wonderful as well. I will definitely come here again as we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Everyone should try this place!

NOT celiac friendly. They wouldnt let me take away anything or substitute. I dont care about substitutions, but I cannot eat any salad with croutons or a burger on a bun. I just wanted to burger with no bun. They refused. NOTHING for me to eat here. Never came across this.

Love this place. Their Shrimp Toast appetizer is amazimg, also love their Baked Brie. I usually go for the Prosciutto & Ham flatbread. Also tasted the BBQ Chicken, tasty. I really like the Queen of Hearys Cab. wine, its a must !
