Weve visited Oishii several times and each time the sushi tasted very fresh and came well presented. Oishii has special dishes and unique appetizers combined with a great atmosphere. One appetizer we loved was the Seared White Tuna Tataki. The other was Seared Scallops where each piece came served on top of a slice of kiwi. The Sashimi Appetizer is served on crushed ice so your sashimi stays nice and cool. To top everything off, the server provides extremely good service and always has a big, natural smile. We highly recommend you try this wonderful, small and romantic restaurant which clearly stand out as one of our favorite Japanese Fusion establishments in Jacksonville.

I thought I finally found a ramen place in town. Unfortunately, their ramen has the bare basic ramen. There was not a lot of meat in the portion and the shoyu broth wasnt as flavorful as you would think a Japanese ramen noodle soup should be. The egg was a fully boiled egg (instead of the traditionally soft boiled one) that was cold in the center so obviously cooked and placed in the fridge. Gross... Definitely not really a ramen place. At least they had the ramen seasoning? Ramen was not worth the price at all. I guess Ill try the sushi next time since it seems others have enjoyed it.

the best Japanese food Ive had since moving to Jacksonville. could easily compete with larger named restaurants. the miso soup was PERFECT. you could taste the skill that went into it. miso soup is a surprisingly easy dish to ruin but theirs was velvety smooth, fresh, and completely slated my hunger with one bowl. for the quality of the food, the speed in making orders and reasonable price its my favorite place about Jacksonville, easily. i literally cant wait to go back. oh and the dining room was so welcoming. i really appreciated that.

The name says it all -delicious! Sushi is great. Many typical Japanese dishes (gyudon and tonkotsu) that you cant get at the dozens of Japanese restaurants in Jacksonville (they seem to be stuck in the 80s where teriyaki and hibachi were as exotic as could be tolerated by Americans). Highly recommend katsudon, tonkotsu ramen, tonkatsu, and gyudon. Sushi rolls are huge and nigiri is excellent. Great age dashi tofu. Even their fried rice is tasty. Staff is always friendly and attentive.

Excellent authentic Japanese-style sushi and ramen. After longing for the food Id been served in Japan, this place does the trick. Exceptional quality raw fish, uni was above average, several dishes you would only normally find in Japan. Dont come here expecting flavor exploding rolls, just simple well-made rolls more akin to those youd find in Japan.

Terrible service, was for a family and dinner. Forgot straws. Forgot our salad. They even didnt refill drinks without being asked. We had to ask for everything. I never will go there again. I will make sure my mother or employees dont either. The sushi isnt good either. Even basic Publix is better quality-wise, and thats not saying much.

I needed Ramen. I found Ramen. I cant comment on the price as I have no reference to compare Ramen prices. It was delicious, however. The menu was my favorite part. Pictures for literally everything on the menu. If you like sushi, this helps you get a feel for the actual roll youll be getting. The service was above average quality.

We love this place. Ive brought many people here to try it as well because it is so good. They have really good prices for excellent sushi. We also really love their ramen noodles. I love that they have photos of the sushi right next to the booths to show you what youll be getting. Awesome service every time!

Ill be honest, Im picky when it comes to Asian food. And I came here for the ramen, and left a tad disappointed. Didnt use the right ingredients and the broth was pretty thin. If you have a ramen craving I guess thisll hafta do since theres not much game in town.

We really enjoy hibatchi style food, but I guess every area has a style. Didnt care for the watery entree, and the salad left a lot to be desired. May have been better eating in. Not very appealing. Yum yum or Seaford sauce was watery and not tasty.

My girlfriend and I have been looking for a Japanese place with Shoyu Ramen (a soy sauce broth to my understanding) and this place delivered! I also tried some stir fried udon which was also very delicious. Will definitely be coming back!

Such a good place. Their sushi is fantastic but the magic happens on the rest of the menu. Best ramen in the city. The nabeyaki udon is hands down my favorite thing on the menu. Good prices and friendly staff make me a happy diner!

Dont be in a hurry even on a slow night. Food took FOREVER, but it was really good. Our table had Tonktsu Ramen, Udon, and different sushi rolls. Sushi was just ok but really the major let down was how long the food took.

Equally excellent service and food. The rolls are fun and creative, while the dishes are as authentic as it gets to Japanese home cooking. A delight with every bite.

Excellent authentic japanese cuisine. One of the best sushi in town. Smaller venue means parties over 8 will probably have trouble seating. Great table service.

Affordable spot to bring the family for a buffet with a variety of East Asian fare plus dessert and ice cream. Quality is on par with mid range buffets.

Sushi here is great. The food comes out fresh and you arent second guessing the type of fish on the plate. One of the better sushi places in town.

I had sushi and habachi; both were very good. The price is fair for the quality of the food and they have great lunch deals during the week.
