We brought our family here on a Wednesday and were not impressed with the food at all. The General Tao chicken was over fried and hard as a rock, the kids had a hard time getting their forks in the food to pick it up, and the sushi rolls all fell apart. And the kicker is that we had 2 adults, 2 preteens and 3 kids under the age of 3, 2 of which split one dish and they charged us $17.80 for gratuity on the check although I had to ask what the charge was because it was marked on the receipt as an additional meal. I understand some families have messy kids but our kids were clean and respectable and very well mannered. I felt like I ate an entree of salt after our meal, for over $125 it was not worth it for the quality of food. Wont go back, not worth spending family outing night at all.

Wish I could do no stars. Came in with my husband and my service dog. Immediately got disgusted looks from the staff. The older waitress repeatedly made comments to my husband and I about my service dog (who was laying quietly by my side, might I add) and even told me to switch sides of the table with my husband when she wanted to seat a family at the table behind me. I gobbled down 1 tuna roll and went to the car and waited for my husband to finish and pay. The younger waitress seemed nice and smiled at us every time she passed and the food was ok. Wouldve loved to been able to actually enjoy my dinner.

A good place to pop your sushi cherry if you dont know what excellent quality sushi is like. Cant complain on prices, is like the jack in the box of local sushi, tend to be quickish grab and go, and weve had mostly good times here. Imitation crab meat, lack of water fill ups, occasional odd attitudes from employees, and have gotten orders wrong and left items out of platters that called for specific ingredients. (crab salad filler with ginger and soy sauce, literally not one piece of crab meat, and rolls are filled with imitation meat and cream cheese)

This place is horrible, the waitress took forever, it wasnt even business... she brought us miso soup, it was barley warm... I had to request a spoon multiple times, so maybe it was hot but by the time I got my spoon it was cold, idk... I asked for a straw multiple times... I got my food before I got my straw.. sushi was really good tho lol but service was bad enough to still get this 1 star

Its fun that they serve things in bento-esque boxes, and most of the food is good, but the quality seems notably higher at the Koibito in Lacey/East Olympia (whatever its considered). Plus, the East side Koibito plays really fun music, whereas West side Koibito plays weird 90s pop stuff and country... not really what Id prefer to have to listen to, especially at a Japanese restaurant.

I usually come here as it is affordable amd good quality for the price. Today, I waited over an hour for my sushi, while witnessing other people who entered fhe restaurant after me, receiving their orders. When my food was finally given to me, it was clear that it was was hastily prepared. I dont know what happened. But this experience was absolutely surreal.

Unimpressive sushi. The rolls were not impressive at all and very expensive. The chicken teriyaki was dry and tough and seemed to have been reheated repeatedly. The service was incredibly slow and inattentive. Weeve eaten sushi both on the East and West coast and this was an avarage place and overpriced.

Literally the best miso Ive ever had. Then they one-upped themselves by serving the best udon, shrimp tempura roll and spicy tuna roll. Eating salad with chop sticks was a little weird, but when you flag the waitress down to order more food halfway through your meal, you can put up with a little weird.

I used to come here a lot. After not getting any service and leaving without the server noticing one time, and getting yakisoba that was like dry spaghetti pasta on the next try, I havent been as motivated to return. Ill try it again sometime, as I havent given up on them quite yet.

WOW!!! This is one of the best FRESHEST sushi experience. The outside of the building doesnt do it justice to their quality and freshness. This is a MUST visit place if youre in town. Service was excellent, prompt and friendly. The place is also very clean and welcoming.

Havent a single complaint. They can get really busy! But I order takeout when they are full and buzzing. Dining in is great too. Good service. The food is amazing. I always order something new and something I already know I love. That being said its all great.

Mmm The most amazing food 10/10 tempura, sushi & Udon. I come here every time I am in Oly and I am a Japanese food snob, This place is great! Authentic & delicious, I just wish I could live above or next door to this place!

This place is legit. Dont be fooled by the super weird looking building. They had VERY fresh, quality uni when I went here, which is not the case everywhere. Same with the raw scallop. Support this cute little sushi spot!

Really good Japanese food and staff. Funky ambience - the place used to be a drive-in. The sushi is not stellar, but its pretty good, and the rest of the menu is better. BIG servings for a Japanese restaurant.

They start you off with complimentary miso soup and a salad. Despite being packed, they brought food out in a timely manner. Customer service was good, and it was some of the best Japanese food ive had.

The service and food have been great both times we have eaten here. Fresh ingredients and quality preparation. Dinner and lunch, a good choice. Firecracker roll and crispy gyoza... Perfect!

This place is great. Family owned and right in the middle of our neighborhood. The food is always spectacular and they remember their regulars. I tell everyone to go here.

Miso was top notch, service was alright, but the sushi was.....mediocre. Almost as if the (raw) salmon wasnt quite sushi grade. Ill find a different place next time.

Their lunch specials are amazing, filling, and cheap for the amount of food you get.The only caveat is that when it gets busy service levels dip to a mediocre level.

Pretty good sushi, nice staff. They get very busy and wait times for the check can be long on Friday and Saturday. Closed on Sunday, which is a little strange.

Decent sushi for slightly above the average price for sushi in the area. The toro was also terrible..... Which is odd because toro is usually fantastic.
