I had to visit this place twice before reviewing to avoid being prejudicial. I must preface by stating by stating that I am no authority on sushi. I just like to eat it on two conditions with out exception. Firstly and most obviously sushi must be fresh, secondly sushi should be tasty. Thankfully, thus far Ive not had any bad experiences with sushi which can be attributed to being overtly cautious. Ive only recently began eating sushi, started with (Publix) local supermarket brand eventually graduating to more appetizing offerings from my favorite Tea bar. I was craving Sushi last week so I thought a return visit was in order. After a second visit, my conclusion, Soho is definitely an establishment worthy of writing home about. If I recall the first time we visited Soho we had a Volcano Roll, Doughnut Roll, and a ring of fire. Lets just say Id been craving succulent sushi since. This time around it was just my eldest son and I, Jr had Sashimi and crab rangoon and I took another shot at the Doughnut Roll which I can safely say is my favorite now. As expected, it was as fresh and delicious as it was the first time I had it months ago. The restaurant was crowded both times that we went which is not a bad thing depending on how you look at it. For all intents and purposes, lets assume that a crowded restaurant is both good for business and indicative of quality food and service. As far as seating arrangements are concerned theres the bar, several booths, and quite a few tables that offer just enough room to bump elbows. However, tight quarters does little to spoil the dining experience. Again this is attributed to quality sushi and service.

Definitely the place to have sushi in Tampa! I was in town for business and got hungry for sushi. I looked up a few places close to my hotel to check some reviews. Soho was a little further, but the reviews suggested it would be worth the drive. It was indeed. Parking was a little tough, and for good reason. When I walked in, the place was packed. I eat at a lot of sushi places around the country and have NEVER seen one that was this full. (good sign) Truth be told, I was about to leave because I hate waiting. Rarely is the wait for the food worth it compared to another place with no waiting. However the host and hostess were very friendly and convinced me to stay with little effort. I sat at the sushi, ordered a large bottle of good cold sake, and asked if the chefs were allowed were to help me with it. (too much for just me to drink) They were allowed, and off we went. I got some recommendations on what to try from the bartender and also the chefs, who both recommended the same thing for my tastes, Jersey Shore Roll. I then got some very fresh Yellow Tail sashimi, and then a quail egg shooter. What a great meal! Everything was very fresh, perfect cuts, and the service was very friendly and helpful. Next time Im in Tampa, I will be coming back! Thanks guys! Chancy from Texas

Favorite Sushi Joint in Tampa. There is no other. Im doing this review for their new service. Never have I once done a review on valet parking because quite frankly its valet parking. No experience has ever been anything special for any valet parking service Ive used. Had to mention these guys SOHO Sushi has though. SOHO has needed valet parking for a long time. Parking is AWFUL. When we saw they had valet we didnt think twice and used it. These guys are awesome. It was raining hard. Most services some kid throws a ticket at you, you hope your car comes back in one piece and thats pretty much it. These kids were all over us. They stood there in the rain with Umbrellas for the family to make sure they stayed dry. My wife was especially impressed with that because her hair stayed dry which I was happy with because she stayed in a good mood! They ran to open the restaurant front door. Talked about how great the restaurant was. Asked us if our dinner was good and if there was anything else they could do for us when we left. Oh and they also put the valet fee on the restaurant bill. Genious! Only thing better would be if it was free. I was very impressed and have never been impressed with a valet service enough to comment. So SOHO nice work on the service. Its GREAT!

WOW! Its been so long since Ive reviewed Soho...they total deserve an update. This place is by far MORE amazing than my reviews from 2 years ago. My husband and I bring guests here when visiting, and still come here on date nights. Its always our go to any time we want sushi. They have valet now (which I havent used) but Im sure is so nice an convenient compared to the small lot and craziness of trying to park. But they are creative and inventive...they have specialty rolls they change out every month, so its fun to go back and try something new from there. Their jaletuna appetizer!!!! GO GET IT! Sooooo good! Wait...I take that back...so GREAT! Yum. These are the only times I wish I could fit more food in one sitting b/c I seriously just sit and eat like 5 orders if I could fit it...lol. The Pork Ramen... The Ring of Fire...the Candy Cane...the Hotline Bling...the Tuna Tataki...hmmm...theres more we love but those are our go tos and favorites. Another friend of ours loves loves loves the Dynamite here...its good but super heavy for me. But great to share. Staff is always amazing!

New favorite Sushi restaurant! Ive been going somewhere else for years. Wife had to drag me here but glad I did. I am high on service. Soho Sushi delivers quality Sushi with a great staff! One Valet park attendant Terrance suggested we try Volcano rolls and Crab Rangoon. Both were the best weve had anywhere. Crab Rangoon was amazing. Every roll we had was superb. Staff from the bartender Amela to our waitress which I forgot her name were extremely friendly and helpful. The Sushi chefs who were very busy still had time to be friendly and engaging when we talked with them across the bar. Even their valet parking people were great. They looked like wet rats from all the rain but they continued to smile and be helpful. You SoHo guys have the key to a successful operation down pat! We will be coming regularly now!

Eh...as Jim Carrey says in Liar, Liar "Ive had better". The good news is when they screw your order up, they give you the item, you didnt order and didnt want, for free. However they assume since you sent something back you are a cheapskate and that you are trying to get free food...that you didnt want in the first place. And lord have mercy they have amazing desserts. At least it looks like that from the pictures. Unfortunately we were just handed a bill and couldnt get a word in edgewise to order the Oreo Donut Holes, so it ruined my sweet tooth. All in all, Id rather take out a $50 bill, wipe my behind with it, and set it on fire. Having said that, the sushi wasnt bad at all.
