Very disappointing. I picked up a simple to-go order tonight. The tacos had on them, the item I specifically told them I cannot eat :( The salsa container lids were not sealed properly, and spilled all over the other containers in the bag. a huge mess for me to clean up in my car and home. After trying to pick off the brown avocado pieces from the tacos that Im allergic to, I just gave up, as they were slimy and left residue on the other food in the tacos. When I called the manager, he put me on hold, and then came back to apologize, not offering to replace the $15 meal I just purchased. Very low end quality, and very low end professionalism. I cannot in clear conscience recommend this place at all. A waste of money & time, and of course, now, no dinner for me :(

My wife and I dined at this fine Mexican restaurant today! Our dishes were served promptly and professionally!! As a chef myself, the product I consumed today was "Over the Top"! Service, presentation, and flavor were supreme. When we have a hankering for authentic Mexican cuisine there will be no other choice but the Catina Laredo, Ft Myers, FL. Remember folks the staff is not there to entertain you, but to serve you the best. Review remarks about rude, unfriendly ect, is just an excuse to not leave a tip. Adios

If you end up here, ask for anyone other than Martin. He will forget your appetizer. Forget to bring you drinks. Not check on you. Ask for your order, to ask again 30 minutes after promising that your food was coming out multiple times. Yes, everyone around you who ordered after you will get their food first. Then, because he decides to rush your order, it comes out burn on the bottom, undercooked on top, extremely chewy and without flavor. This place went from a 10 to a 2. Youre better off eating fajitas as Chilis.

I dont often write reviews about places but we (my girlfriend and I) just left there and I was constantly impressed by everything about this place. We got there, were told 10 minutes for a table, waited 5. Got drinks and chips and salsa immediately. Got our appetizer 5 minutes later. 5 minutes later our food was out and deliciously prepared. Atmosphere was great, love the mariachi band and the servers were friendly, quick-witted, and helpful. Will go again for sure and recommend to friends.

Well the prices are expensive at Catina Laredo, but my meal was so worth it. I ordered the chicken flautas, which were not on the regular menu but were on the daily specials menu. They were very good, as was the rice and vegetables. I was disappointed that they didnt have some of my favorite Mexican dishes - empanadas or chimichangas. Ill definitely go back. The margarita was great, too!

Loved this restaurant. Although its a little pricey the food is tasty. At least on the weekend there is a live mariachi band. One item that is often overlooked with a band is it can be to loud for conversations. However with the high ceilings it was not too loud. We thoroughly enjoyed it and bright home plenty of leftovers. Check it out for some upscale Mexican.

The so-called vegetarian plates are served with rice that is made with meat stock. We insisted that our waitress inquire to be sure and she came back and told us that yes, in fact, the rice was made with chicken stock. They offered us extra vegetables instead. How about the truth?? Why would you lie to people who care about not eating animals???? Never again!

Great food but poor waitress service. The waitress name is Cookie, she was rude & sarcastic. She ruined our dinner experience. My husband was way to generous and left her a $16 tip. I wouldve left her the minimum 15%. If we ever decide to go there again we will make sure to let the hostess know not to sit us at the tables Cookie is waitressing at.

Excellent service. The food was delicious, dessert-Mexican brownies to die for. The guacamole very good-I dont even like avocado. However, I was expecting fresh tortillas with the fajitas and not the ones you buy at a store(bag of cold tortillas/burritos). Overall, very good. Ill definitely come back for a third round.

Holy Cow! Gourmet Mexican food for real, pricey but worth it! Take your wife, then take your girlfriend they are both worth it. You have to keep coming back to try everything on the menu because no matter what you get it is totally delicious. Highly recommend! Leave you house now! Yumm!! Service is excellent also.

Pros: the spicy salsa was flavorful, with a hint of papya; service was attentive; they offer a militart discount if you ask Cons: The only thing gourmet were the prices; the fajitas were on par with Chilis From the environment, it seems that only the afluent, well-off, or wanna-impress-the-Jones would eat here.

The rudest staff and the general manager Freddy Magana was the worst. Waited for ever for the order to be taken and bill to be given. Then when we had a problem with the bill Mr. Magana was rude again. The food was no better than other mexican chain restaurant but more expensive. Go some where else.

Nice atmosphere but terrible Mexican food and perfunctory service. (The salsa and chips were good) Seemed like it was prepared hours if not days earlier. The tortilla in my burrito was thick and tough Im not joking when I say the the fast food Mexican restaurants are better...try Taco Bell.

Never have I been to a restaurant where you actively see management assisting wait staff or bar staff. Very refreshing to see such a wonderful work ethic where everyones objective is to please the customer! The food is beyond reproach!! Will definitely come back and bring friends!!!

Table side guacamole, chips & salsa, chicken tortilla soup, and the flaming coffee drink is all so amazing in your mouth. Im not sure which is better...the margaritas, the flights of tequila or Ismael? However the entire crew is amazing, Eduardo, Christian, and Danny are the best!

Went there last night. I had beef tacos which were horrible. This food is so inauthentic. Also noticed that most of the employees were mostly Hispanic and/or Mexican which I found odd as people of different origins arent "themes", theyre human beings. Wont be going there again.

Service with a smile and South Beach quality food! Happy hour is a great deal for such great food. It is packed for happy hour even in August, which shows theyre doing something right (Because it is our off season and most places are dead.)

Great authentic Mexican food. Table side guacamole is a must have. House margaritas are one of the happy hour specials, make sure to try it! On weekends they have mariachi bands that come to your table and serenade you. Great place to go.

Both the meal and the atmosphere were first class. The chips and salsa were some of the best that I have had. The carnitas and sides were delicious. I will be back for another supper when I am in the area. Service was very good as well.

One of my wife and Is favorite places to have lunch or dinner. Great Mexican food, good ambiance. Love the fresh chips and salsa, table side guacamole and enchiladas. My wife always gets a mango chicken salad and it rocks as well.
