I got a package of avocados and a plastic container full of spring mix lettuce. When I got home, I noticed the Expiration date on the lettuce was two days from the date of purchase. When I opened the box there was mold and nasty brown liquid all over the lettuce. And to complete my DeLand Bakery experience, I discovered that night that all of the avocados were rotted inside. If this store considers itself a "health food store" its kidding itself. I WOULD STRONGLY URGE AGAINST BUYING ANY FRESH FOODS, like vegetables and fruit from the DeLand Bakery. Although some of their baked goods like gluten free muffins are pretty good. However, the fact that this store takes such little pride in maintaining their fresh produce renders this entire store completely useless as a health food store. I would go to Publix anyday over this place. If only DeLand had a Whole Foods.

Great location first, variety and customer service. Only health store in the area where you can eat quality food prepared daily fresh even if your on a budget, they also have select fruits an vegetables, dry goods and frozen for those on the go. Something for everyone, I believe we need to support local business and spread the word about good things

I try to eat vegetarian one day a week and the lunch buffet here is perfect for that! The food is wonderful. The only thing that sucks is that I usually eat alone and the building has no cell reception. They have wifi but the signal is too weak so I have to people watch while I eat. Kind of fun sometimes.

I used to be a fan of Whole Foods Market but after discovering this place it puts Whole Foods to shame. Great prices, Friendly staff and a wonderful deli area where you can get fresh made healthy meals hot or cold.

Deland has a great cafe with wonderful food, many nice people that are knowledgeable about their work, found a great product there the Nutra Face Skin & Joint Cream it really does every thing for the whole body.

The food was fresh and delicious. They state whats vegan or gluten free I attached a picture and Ive never cut up the tofurkey with peppers and onions like that but Ill have to make it at home now.

Their bulk section is wonderful. Ive tried a lot of new things because i can buy a small portion to test out. They have tons of gluten free items and lots of supplements and natural remedies.
