My girlfriend and I went to this location for dinner and was seated promptly. Server arrived somewhat on good time and took our drink and appetizer order. We had the mozzerella sticks and they were nothing too special but the presentation was kinda thrown on and the marinara sauce was spilled on the sheet that lined the basket. I had the "House Steak" and my Girlfriend had the BBQ Burger or whatever it was called. Now the restaurant was not even remotely busy and our server was occupied on doing her silverware rolling and basically neglected us on what seemed like a 25 minute wait for food. Our food arrived and already my Girlfriend sees that shes missing the bbq sauce that is supposed to come with her dinner, so she wanted to wait until the server came to fix this. The steak given to me was one of the most unseasoned, odd-tasting steaks Ive ever eaten. I have reason to believe the damn thing was probably thrown in the microwave! So after about another 10 minutes of our server avoiding eye contact and rolling silverware, I managed to flag her down with an "Excuse me!" and she did this weird 180 from across the restaurant and made it seem like we were an inconvenience. She came over and my girlfriend addressed what she needed and I didnt even bother wanting any reparations for this tragic meal as I was already infuriated. After my girlfriend was already halfway through her burger, we decided that we just wanted to leave and flagged down the server once more to get our check. I would recommend for nobody to come eat at this place whatsoever and take their hard earned money elsewhere, especially if youre vacationing!

si votre souhait, comme le notre, est de dinner dans cadre type Dinner, je dois dire que le but a été atteint mais pour ce qui est de passer un bon moment devant un bon déjeuner dans ce cas passez votre chemin. Si le service à été correct le dejeuner a été horrible, la boisson infecte et le tout pour 25USD par personne. je connais de très bonne table en france pour un prix bien moins cher. Cerise sur le gateau, une blattre nous faisait de loeil et bougeait ses ailes auprès de notre affreux repas.

When my mum and I went to the Starlite Diner, we ordered the chopped steak and the chicken tenders. Her chopped steak was nothing more than a measly little hamburger patty, and it wasnt even chopped. My chicken tenders were so dark and hard, its as if they were cooked a long time in month-old oil. Dont forget about the sides; the baked beans tasted suspiciously like canned beans, the coleslaw was watery, and the potato salad was just potato chunks and mayonnaise/mustard/whatever sauce it was. They also brought our bread(which is included with each meal, according to the menu) only when we questioned about it; and even then, it was just sliced bread that was slathered with butter and grilled for too long, not the cornbread muffins described as on the menu. Save your money, folks, and go elsewhere. Even chains like McDonalds or Burger King would be a huge step above this place.

One star is too high a rating for my experience here. To be completely fair, I never actually ATE here because I left the restaurant before ordering food. Upon entering the diner I was not greeted with a smile, or even greeted at all. So my husband and I sat at the counters. A waitress plopped two menus down and said "what are you drinking today". We both ordered water. We are on our honeymoon--so we are trying to have an awesome time. Then this other waitress walks in and starts complaining about customers from earlier that day. Bad tippers. Dramatic people. Racists. Blah blah blah. How can we enjoy our meal when we cant help but overhear these two waitresses complain about their job and their customers? That is so unprofessional. We walked out. I didnt even bother taking a sip of my water.

Ordered a fried mushroom, onion ring and ? appetizer and all were almost black. Way over fried and hard. They offered to remake or take off bill. We took off bill thinking the cook would just over do them again, plus, sons chicken sandwich was the same way! He ate it but no more of that place. Noticed the next table also had overcooked onion rings on her table lol. No bueno. She ate them though haha. Also our other son ordered cheese fries and they were just little squares with skinny almost-burnt shredded cheese on them. Not like fries smothered in soft liquidy cheese. They added more cheese after telling waitress what we thought they were SUPPOSED to look like and she smiled and agreed like she totally understood and they came back the exact same way lol. I give up.

My boyfriend and I went in and had the worst food we have ever had. The prices were OK. Not expensive, not cheap... I didnt have high expectations of the food because I understand price compared to quality... But the food we received was absolutely disgusting. No flavor whatsoever. Dry. COLD. Hard. Vulgar. Just plain gross. Not to mention the employees were talking about all the drugs they do... Not against drugs, but against not acting professional at your place of work. I live a block away from the diner and will never eat there again.

Im still gonna give a four star even though this (was)my favorite place to eat in Daytona Ive been there twice since the remodel and the servers are horrible I had Ashley and she didnt even check on our table and our food came out separately my mom waited till we ate and I asked her hello wheres her meal..only tried to work the table when it was time. And the food was cold! Last time my order was totally wrong I never complain but they need servers that know how to serve! Hint Im a server myself!

The historic Starlight Diner took a major hit from Hurricane Mathew last year, 2016. But thankfully they rebuilt and its perfect! The same wonderful chromed out Diner, in the heart of Daytona Beach Side. If you are visiting Daytona, you MUST come and eat and enjoy! This is a great little place to eat. We tried it a couple years ago and go repeatedly, either dine in or pick up. The burgers are great, handmade and never just a box of patties. Even their liver n onions is good and not many people know how to cook this without it tasting like shoe leather. I love the diner and am glad they have reopened after the hurricane of 2016

What a great place to eat here in Daytona. The food was delicious, portions were large, and prices very reasonable. The staff took pride in their food and their restaurant which makes you want to keep coming back. Everyone was friendly and desserts were huge for the price. We were in town for a week and visited 3 times. Just good hometown feel.

We went to IHOP first, there was long long long waiting line and we decide try in here instead . When we went in it was busy , we need to wait for a seat too ( but not long waiting line) Food is yummy, price is cheap , waiters are nice . Special the ice cream sundae!!! It worth it every penny:)
