I want to give this place 5 stars. SO SO SO BADLY!! You have no idea how badly. But, the service here was super slow. I get it, they are a small town diner. Like, a REALLY small town diner. Our waitress was absolutely a delight....but overwhelmed to say the least. Leaving an 18 year old girl by herself to run an entire dining room on her own, not the best idea. But that didnt stop her from being as sweet as can be and apologizing profusely. But, the fact that all the tables were dirty when we arrived, it took a good 10 minutes to take our order, my coffee cup sat most of the meal empty and our food took a good 15-20 minutes to get to us (think simple breakfast food)....I am forced to remove a star. Now, onto the AMAZING portion of this review. Everything else was absolutely fantastic. This diner is well kept and extremely clean. I was SHOCKED at how clean actually. This is no greasy spoon. Not by any stretch of the imagination. You can tell the owner takes pride in this establishment. Everyone here seems to know everyone else. Sort of like Andy Griffith in color. That makes this diner even more quaint and welcoming. They also have FREE WIFI. Now, onto the menu. I am gluten free....which poses an issue lots of time trying to find new places to eat. I figured I would be sitting down at this diner and ordering some eggs and meat and calling it a day. But, what do I see when I open the menu? GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS. Gluten free bread, waffles AND french toast. ARE YOU FRIGGIN KIDDING ME? That blew my mind yo. Would woulda thunk that a small town diner in the heart of redneck country would offer gluten free? Well folks, this place does! 1) Gluten free waffle: OMG!!!! Is that enough of an explanation? Probably not, so I will elaborate. This waffle was absolutely phenomenal. Fluffy, delicate and super flavorful. If you wouldnt have told me, I would have assumed it was filled with gluten. Served with REAL maple syrup....not Aunt Jemima or Log Cabin....REAL STUFF! 2) Cheese omelet: 3 eggs omelet cooked to perfection with my choice of cheese. Nice and fluffy, eggs done PERFECTLY. 3) Hashbrowns: freshly sliced hashbrowns seasoned perfectly. I asked for extra crispy and I am glad I did. The crisp on these things were perfect...not burned at all. 4) Sausage: Ok, so it says something when the person you are with who doesnt like sausage says (and I quote) "Wow, that is fu#$ing awesome!" The flavor was mild but on point and it was not greasy nor gristley. 5) Bacon: Crispy and flavorful. It is bacon....that is all the talking up it needs. 6) Gluten free bread (toast): I really enjoyed this toast. I do not know where they get it, but I am sold. Great flavor, crispy and perfectly buttered. YES PLEASE. Folks, I will be heading back to this place FOR SURE. What a special little diner with some amazing food and an adorable waitress with a great smile and attitude.

We love to eat at Fresh Start because the food is good, the portions are large, and the service is friendly. As a Mom of a daughter with Celiac Disease, I also appreciate that they offer gluten-free menu items that kids would enjoy. I love the omelets and always go for that, but the rest of the family enjoy the giant pancakes and other breakfast items. We often go for breakfast, but dont miss out on their lunches and dinners. Sandwiches are great and their Friday Fish Fry is delicious!
