The food was good. It came out fast after ordering. So props to the chef. The service on the other hand was horrble. When we got there the waitress was to busy talking to people to show us to a seat. We had to ask for a menu and find a table ourselves. Either one of the waitresses came to us and asked if we needed any drinks or if we was ready to order. We had to get the waitress. So this is where I give the chef his props. After we ordered the good was right out and the chef was the one that came out himself to serve us because the so called waitresses was to busy talking to the regulars which I can tell this is that kind of place which is cool, thats why I stopped in I always see people there so I thought it had to be a good spot. But anyway they was to busy talking to make sure the new potential regulars be taken care of. So I think one the so called waitresses heard me talking bout the service and how she wasnt making sure how we was enjoying our meal and if I needed a refill on the coffee because she came over and did her job. Crazy right. So I asked for the check and when I got it I was surprised to see coffee was $5 i was like huh im the only one that had coffee with one refill so i asked and they tried to say 2 cups of coffee. I had to remind her I was the only one that got coffee and the waitress that wasnt even working out table said she confussed her and they was sorry. But no we all know what the deal was. She heard me tell my girl I didnt want to tip her and that we should tip the chef and she tried to charge me for 2 cup of coffee. And she got caught. It was corrected though if not I was gonna have a new cup. So I looked for the chef I didnt see him and against my better judgement I tipped her $2 and was gonna tip the chef but I didnt trust her to give it to him so all Im all Ill be back to tip him. If your reading chef good job if you so called waitresses reading this start looking for a new job cause this one dont suit you at all. Its sad to say if you are not a regular and these 2 are not fired you will not get the service you may be looking for, and that sucks cause the food is good. I literally have had better service at the dump. That bad Mr. Owner. So the star you get is for your chef. If you dont know how your servers are now you do, and if you dont do something bout it I promise Ill come on here again and take that star away. If its improved I would give you 5 star. Yo chef pay attention to the people working with you cause they are not letting you get the recognition you deserve.

My fiance and I tried this place out over the weekend as it seemed like a nice breakfast diner to try out. Initially, it seemed like we were greeted with open arms, but then we quickly realized that we were not and we were being watched! (We are both african american). When my fiance went to the restroom and then to his car to get something the workers (from the back of the store) said "where did he go now?" Amongst themselves. I happened to overhear that and thought to myself surely they are not speaking of my fiance. I sat there and listened. At this point, They started to speak about his every move! A friend came by to say hello while in the area and they thought he was leaving and screamed "hes leaving!" As if I wasnt sitting at the table....right there! I was appalled at the comments and the fact that the workers had no care in the world as to how this made me feel. To watch my significant other get depicted for just existing and not bothering anyone, not only hurt to see but made me feel very unwelcomed. It feels horrible to be judged based on appearance! Needless to say, we left shortly after. And YES we paid the bill. We are extremly honest people. To the workers of this company: every african american you see is not a criminal so stop treating us as such. I will never eat here again.

Apparently you only get good service here if you are a regular. But how do you become a regular if youre first few experiences are awful? Me and my family walked in and got starred at the whole time. The waitress greeted us with a "do you know what you want?" We watched others walk in and get a warm welcome and hello from multiple staff. Another waitress walking around refilling coffee did not even stop at our table. My husband ran out of his drink and had to slurp loudly and push his glass to end of table and still did not get a refill until we were ready to leave. Noone checked on us untill they came to give us our bill. Its a shame that we just moved to the area and are looking for a diner to frequent this is nearly walking distance and I will not be coming back.

I love this place. It is a small, local diner. The staff knows just about every patron that walks through the door. They are only open for breakfast and lunch. They also only take cash. I have only ever had breakfast food there because it is always so good. I have never had a desire to try anything else. The prices are very reasonable as well. My wife and I can eat here for under $20.00 and that includes the tip.

Im new to the neighborhood and was in the market for a good breakfast place. This is not what I received when I walked through these doors. I found an extraordinary place with nice staff, friendly people and even better food. You.. Have a new regular.

We had breakfast there one morning and came back the next because the food was so good. It reminded me of diners that I used to eat at when I was a kid. Friendly service. Eat at counter or table. Very reasonable prices. No credit cards. Bring cash.

A cash-only diner, so be prepared. Nice people but tough to dine there since the regulars and owner all know each other and carry conversations yelling across the restaurant to each other. Might be more comfortable as a take-out option.

What is not good to say about this place! Great food and the staff is wonderful and full of wryly humor. Not mentioning that the price you pay for what you get in return cant be beaten.
