Disappointed! Feelings Hurt! I arrived at 10:25 Saturday night. Dressed casually. Collared shirt, jeans, shoes,wool jacket, black cap. Brown skin. I was immediately told by a older Asian woman, "Kitchen Closed" I said " Is everything OK?" Because my menu says Late Night 10PM - Midnight" She says its because I said so! I said well is there anything else on here that you have say so about? Then she says what do you want!? I will have a spring roll and a Bells IPA please. "PAY CASH NOW" I look at her like Damn lady can I open a tab? She says " I only do this for a lot of traffic " I look around and "Crickets".....Not alot of traffic. I pay cash, I eat, then she comes to ask me (with HER jaw full of food) " Where do I work & live. Excuse me. I have been polite the entire time so I answer... I work here, i live here and play here all in DC). No feedback from her as to why she is asking. Finally she goes away. A couple of Caucasians comes in with a hoodie and sneakers, hat backwards and gets total respect. They were given full menu and no demand for immediate pay or questions about their life. So non Blacks that are reading this can have a sigh of relief. The bottom line: Asians racially profile MORE than anyone else as I have seen and experienced throughout my 43 years. What nerve!! So, I didnt enjoy my first experience at a so called Popular Pub. I had my credit card so I could have opened a tab and continued to support this business. But instead, I was forced to drink my beer and write this review before I left. I hope that the original owners see this.

Froggy Bottom is about a block away from work, so Ive been in a couple times. Theyve moved and upgraded the decor. Its no longer a dive bar with pool tables. Its a full service restaurant with a huge, dark stained bar and slightly upscale feel. The first time I came in (since they moved and upgraded) we sat at the bar and I got the Chicken Caesar Salad. It was really nothing to write home about. The chicken was over-cooked to oblivion, so I didnt eat much of it. I came in again last week with a party of 10 for lunch. Service was friendly, fast and accurate. I had a hankering for a burger and order the Fat Bird. I swapped the swiss for provolone and asked them to hold the mushrooms. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Mmmm, juicy. Love that they offer sweet potato fries--they were really good, too.

Our waiter Aor was TERRIBLE all she did was sit down and was on her phone the whole time, she never asked once how our food was or how we were doing. As soon as our check came and I signed and was about to tip her in cash she came back and opened and demanded that I tip her via my card when I was going to give her cash, she was the most disrespectful women ever

Ive only been to Froggy Bottom Pub once, but it was alright, and I would probably go back again. The decor is nice, and the service was generally friendly. I ordered a veggie burger, and it was okay, but nothing special -- certainly nowhere near the best veggie burger Ive ever had. I would try something else next time.

One if my favorite low key spots in DC and definitely a go to in the neighborhood. The lost some if the character when they move across the street out of their townhouse but Im glad they kept the exact same menu. Pho and chicken fingers are the best but theres something for everyone here.

Average pub food that is made better by time spent with friends. Very much a GWU bar, even in their new location. Good beer selections and a pretty good happy hour selection. Try the vietnamese Pho on the menu! It is delicious and a speciality of the restaurant!

Lovely atmosphere and great food! We got the pizza, an order of the Bún Cha, and the Bán Mì -- all was delicious along with good drinks. Our waitress was accommodating and efficient, as was the owner of the restaurant.

Decent pub fare and drink offerings bolster by the generally nice atmosphere and good service. I imagine this is a popular place for work-area happy hours and GW students. Would recommend as a solid watering hole.
