Experience was very bad and will not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The food is not worth the long waiting time and money we pay and disrespect and rudeness to customers to top it. It all started the moment we walked into the restaurant. We stood at the front door for an eternity to be seated. It was around 2.00 at noon. The restaurant was not crowded, I noticed only few tables had guests and more than half of the tables in the restaurant were empty, as the peak time is already over. The waiters were talking to each other and walking around. But no one bothered to come to us and take us to a table. Finally after a long wait ( with a toddler :-( ) at the reception a school/college kid working as a waiter in the restaurant helped us seated. The tables and decor were okey but tables/floor needed clean up, but its just after the peak time so I can understand that. The kid (who helped us seated) took our order. We ordered a drink they advertised at the entrance on a "speciality" black board. The waiter later came back and said that drink is not available which came as a surprise. And it appeared the waiter didnt have knowledge on the drinks served in the restaurant (moscato vs prosecco). Again, not a problem, he just started learning the trade. There was again a big wait (un-acceptable this time) for the food to arrive at the table. The food was not bad but I have been to other Italian restaurants in the area that serves tastier, better quality, more authentic Italian food. The food was served by a guy who introduced himself as manager. We immedietly noticed a ton of bad attitude/ego and negative energy comming out of him. He served us food without plates and knife/fork. Rookie mistake from the manager of the restaurant! After food is served waiters were nowhere to be seen and no one bothered to check on us. At the end, we had to wait for another 15 mins so we can signal the manager for the check. I found this very unprofessional. Now, this is when all the fun part started. We were trying to signal the waiters for their attention so we can pay for the food and get out of that place. After 15 mins of failed attempts, nobody bothered to even look at us, the manager and a waiter (another school/college kid) came near our table and manager was talking angrily (from intensity of interaction and body language) at him in another language that I couldnt understand. I found this very unprofessional in front of customers. And they didnt even notice us sitting there signaling for their attention. So we said "excuse me". Nobody listened. We called louder this time to catch the attention. The manager heard and came to us. We asked for check, he came back with the check angrily saying that we need to behave and we shouldnt yell at people. Whoa! We asked "when did we yell"? And we re-iterated that we only said "excuse me" and its the polite form to ask for something. Thats when he called us racist. I didnt see that coming. And he started shouting at us. He also said he will call police. What did we do to be racist? Considering the large amount of Melanin in my skin only an ignorant will call me racist. Remember, he did all this in front of my toddler son not evening thinking how thats going to affect him. The fact is they didnt attend to us and they didnt serve us food with respect and dignity that we deserve as fellow human beings. We are the victims if we really think about it from the race angle. Any ways, we didnt want to set a bad example to our son, so we paid the bill and then walked out of the restaurant. The manager came running and closed the door behind us and told us he doesnt need our business (after swiping my credit card. Haa!). So does this mean the restaurant is only for "his people"?

Ive never written a review prior to this one. Im a server, along with two of the other gentlemen that came along with me to this restaurant. Overall, the food was mediocre, mainly because we were really hungry. If the service wouldve been good I wouldve easily overlooked the bland meal, but the service was just atrocious. Our server had a ten minute pocket check, (forgot to put our order in). He only refilled one glass. The worst part of our experience was when our servers assistant offered to box up our food. He poured the calzone, very greasy may I add, into the togo box, sat the plate down on the table then placed the togo box on the plate in grease. I was embarrassed at the lack of intelligence displayed on this day. At the very end of it all, the tip was added on a party of 4, which was supposedly "new policy." Even with the experience being this bad, the server definitely wouldve made more money if he hadnt followed the "tip policy." Your experience may be better. Ours just sucked.

Ate here with my mother this afternoon. The place was nearly empty, which is always a bad sign. The lunch menu was rather unoriginal. Nothing really unique on the menu. I ordered the eggplant parm entree with a cup of minestrone soup. The minestrone soup looked and tasted like it was from a can. HUGE turn off for me. The eggplant was OK, but again, there was nothing really special about it. Just eggwash, cheese and marinara. No herbs. The marinara sauce didnt seem homemade either. The service wasnt bad, and the prices are very cheap. I guess you get what you pay for. This is exactly the type of place you could imagine Gordon Ramsay visiting on Kitchen Nightmares. If youre looking for a good Italian place in Weston, steer clear of La Torretta and go to Aqualina or Vignettos instead. Its a shame because La Torretta is in a prime location and there ought to be a decent place there. I felt like I was eating nursing home food.

Great restaurant that has been in weston for almost 30 years! The food is just fantastic! Of course like any family owned and run restaurant there are hiccups that occur. With patience and a kind attitude anyone would have a great experience there. Seriously though, the food is great. Everything! The penne alla vodka or anything with the pink sauce. Chicken Francese, yummy! They make their caesar salad dressing in house and it is so good! All the desserts are also homemade by the owner (who owns bakeries in NY, also in business 30+ years) so you know they are delicious. When you see those cookies out in front, you have to jump on them because they are gone so fast. Enjoy!

My gf and and I ordered a pizza and chicken parm dinner. The place was half empty. We waited 50 minutes for our food to arrive. I was upset and asked to speak to the manager. A woman named Martha arrived and started to give me bs excuses why the food didnt arrive on time while I pointed out others who came in after us were served.she made me feel uncomfortable and quite frankly the food was ok!!! The pizza must have been sitting for awhile it was cold and greasy. The fact she never offered to even COMP is a dessert told me how low class this place is and I wont be going back! Martha shouldnt manageva dog salon much less a restaurant.
