This place is a refreshing taste of England embedded in Falls Church. Its easy to drive by on 50 and miss it (which I did many times) because you wont see it from there, but is visible from rte 7 right near the intersection to 50. Its not a chain (thank God) and the owner/chef takes pride in his product. The food is all great, meeting British standards for Fish/Chips and Shepherds pie, among other classic dishes from across the pond. The Lamb Shank is to die for. The beer selection is great, with about a dozen drafts from all over the world, including the Public House 7 draft. I tried several! The downstairs server Doug was very attentive and helpful (recommended the lamb and beer :), and that section is quiet, but theres also an upstairs pub section with lots of tvs and a decent sized bar. Every soccer game is available! They have a heated patio for smoking out back but it still wasnt warm enough for me. I imagine thats a great swilling spot for spring and summer. I plan to visit once a week until I try everything on the menu. Two thumbs up!

We are Brits and have visited this pub several times. Great place, authentic and entertaining. However, the food lets it down every time. The fish n chips served last night was a big disappointment. The chips were burnt and cold. You are letting the reputation down No 7 claiming to serve British fish n chips! Also when we arrived no one served us. We sat for 15 minutes before deciding to go to the bar, then 10 minutes later asking at the bar for a menu and eventually walking over to wait staff to place our order. It took another 45 minutes before the food, for what it was worth, got to us.

After living in England for 12 years, this is about as close as Ive seen to a real English pub in Virginia. The place just opened a couple of weeks ago, so they are going through teething pains. I didnt have food as I was more interested in checking the place out. I sat at the bar, so the service was fine. The drinks were good, and the atmosphere was as I said about as close as you can get here. Its owned by a Brit publican who has had a few pubs around the world, and he took time to come over and introduce himself. I thought this was a nice touch. All in all a pretty nice place.

So far so good with this small pub/restaurant. We stopped by for lunch to check it out today and were pleased with the meal. The salt beef wrap was a bit bland, the chicken sticks were good, but the menu for dinner looks very enticing with solid British options. Good beer selection, mostly English beers, but surprisingly no English ciders (only had Woodchuck). One suggestion to enhance atmosphere: get a shuffleboard table and put it on your long wall in the back. 2 dart boards is not enough, and no one wants to sit along the wall unless theres a show. Service was friendly.

The service is absolutely horrendous. I have been there many, many times. Even the regulars cannot get reasonable service. Often takes 15-20 minutes to get a drink refill - thats after they know that youre there. Too bad, because the atmosphere is great, food is generally good, and the patio is awesome when the weather cooperates. But for $4+ for even the cheapest beer one would hope not to have to beg to spend money there.

I came here after work. Got 2 glasses of wine... Total came to 17 dollars... The next morning I checked my bank statement, they charged me 160 dollars... It was a mess trying to get my money back. The staff didnt seem to care and I could never reach the owners. It took more than a month to get my money back... Other than that the service seemed good and its a very nice environment...

Cool atmosphere and could not be easier to get to from any direction. The beer selection was very good. I have to recommend the lamb stew hot pot for dinner. So savory and warm. The place is laid out so there is a restaurant section in the front and pub in the back. The service was friendly but closer to a bar style than restaurant niceties.

The food is great. I had a steak that was cooked perfectly rare. The service was prompt and friendly without being overbearing. I stayed after for a live performance and the sound was great and at a reasonable volume. I really enjoyed the menu and beer selection, the atmosphere, and the overall experience. I recommend this place.

Love the pub. Its changed hands since it was a British pub. The new owners have expanded the menu and added a pizza oven. i do miss some of the british dishes. The outdoor patios (front and back) are great when the weather is nice, and the back patio has a fireplace for when the temperature is a bit tepid

This is a gem of a new restaurant, I am so happy that I found it. It has great food, great beer and drink selection, and it has really good daily specials. Ive lived around here my whole life, and Ive been looking for a restaurant like this to open up

Had the sausage roll which was basically just an American sausage in pastry and the fish & chips was far too greasy. Basically nothing like the real thing and Im English so I know :) the hunt for good British grub continues.....

Took 30 minutes for two beers to come out. The fish and chips came out soggy and lukewarm. Seemed like the staff had no idea what they were doing. Maybe theyll get their act together, but avoid this place for now.

Nice neighborhood pub. Used to be a British or English, but when the new owner came in they just made it your average american pub. Still a nice place with outdoor seating and sometimes some music.

I go here way too often because of the relaxing vibe to it. Great place to grab a beer after work since the happy hour specials are pretty great. Typical dive bar with great comfort food.

The local dive bar. This place is cheap, always has something going on, and is really one of the only bars open until 2am in Falls Church. You cant beat it.

Saw a bartender flip off a guy behind his back tonight. He was asking where his beer was (he had been waiting 20 minutes at a table for it). True story.

Smelled like stale beer and fetid mop water. Beer list SUCKED. Old guy sat down next to me, reeked of bad cologne. At least they have a patio.

The place used to be awesome but just got new owners and they have essentially ruined it.
