The food is ok. But the service is too bad. We went there 5 times so far, the so called manager challenge my patience and bottom line again and again! Of course, I will never come again! I do not recommend this place to anyone. The arrogant manager -young man- first serves us the second time we came, he extremely carelessly take off the small plates and turn over the left over food into our fresh just served food. He then totally ignore that! Not even say that he splash the oil on my wifes clothes. The last time was last week, I ordered one bottle of shochu, I only drink one small glass of it. There is almost one bottle left at the end and no one told me about this during the dinner. If I known by state law I can not take it away, I would not order it. Of course, there is no other choice when I check out. so I ask if there is any option. I am totally fin with throw away the shochu, but the way The manager told me was too rude and too arrogant! No body should go there just because of the horrible service. This is just two of the most awful experience.

Of the few Korean offerings in the area this is the best IMO. Service is typically fast, food fairly authentic and well prepared. I see many Korean and Chinese people eating there, which is a good endorsement. My suggestion is skip the sushi/Japanese parts of the menu. To be fair Ive only had some sushi, but this place is really about the Korean food. Stand outs for me are the Dolsut Bibimbap (love how everything mixes together and the rice starts to crisp in the bottom of the hot clay bowl providing added texture), Soon-Tofu, and Yukyejjang. Other stand out is a beef stew, believe its the Galbi Jiim. The small plates of appetizers that come before the meal are also quite good and provide a satisfying holdover until your order comes. You get about 6 during lunch times, around 10-12 on weekends and dinner.

Really terrible sushi. I ordered a sushi delux, miso soup and the rainbow roll. First off, the sushi delux was the lowest grade fish i have ever eaten. The tuna was grey, one piece smelled so bad i had to throw it out. The miso was flat, no flavor. The "rainbow roll" was just pieces of old fish strewn about with rice all over the place. Terrible quality fish. Awful presentation. 36 dollars to go to bed hungry and terrified. If you really want to eat here, use copious amount of wasabi and soy sauce. I have been eating sushi for 20 years, this has got to be the worst experience i have ever had. you can find better sushi at the grocery store.

My roommate and I ordered the combination platter. It was a lot of food! There were so many side dishes, and the meat was excellent. The waiter/cook cooked the food right in front of us and it was reminiscent of hibachi. The kimchi pancakes were really good, and the flavors really popped throughout the meal. There were 14 side dishes where you could try many different foods. It was a really cool experience and the staff was very good to us. I would definitely bring my family here.

The food was delicious, but....in hindsight, their food safety practices leave much to be desired. If you get the BBQ, they bring the raw meat to you table to cook on the grill built into the surface. Neat, but cross contamination is almost instantaneous. He used the same tongs to put the raw meat on and then to turn and serve. Fully cooking does not prevent anything on the tongs or tabletop from being dangerous. Worrying at best.

Ive been here several times now, even though the drive is over an hour long. There arent many decent Korean restaurants in Connecticut, and of the 4 or 5 Ive tried, Id say this is easily the best. The food has been delicious every time Ive gone here. I try to have something different each time I go and have yet to be disappointed. I think their jjamppong is a great value and is probably my favorite dish from here so far.

Went with my college friends. The restaurant itself is clean looking with cozy, modern style. Many large rooms for reservation. We had 4 people total wait on us, they all help each other. Service was great; quick and courteous. We both had the korean bbq (galbi) which was also fantastic. There were about 12 other small sides to go with the meals. I will absolutely go back!

Best Asian Restaurant in CT! The BBQ on your table with cut meats you cook yourself. Dozens of menu choices, fresh and huge portions. Parties larger than 4 get private room with a better seating area. Perfect for small parties. Absolutely phenomenal, make sure you get reservation first. Very busy place.

VERY POOR ATTITUDE IN THE KITCHEN. TO STUPID TO PUT BLACK BEAN SAUCE ON FRIED RICE RATHER THAN NOODLZ. LEFT WITHOUT ORDERING. GOONG IN EAST HARTFORD AND THAI HOUSE IN BLMFLD ARE BOTH MUCH BETTER AND LESS EXPENSIVE. I WOULD HAVE BEEN THERE HAVING THE SAME MEAL EVERYDAY. ARROGANT IGNORANCE.

The food was fantastic and they had a great selection of banchan. The meats were nicely seasoned and tender plus the service was quick. You have to order two sets of meats to do the bbq at the table but it was worth it. We came a little earlier but be prepared to wait if you come around 6:30.

What a gem! My friends took me here on the way up north. We drove a little bit out of the way just to dine here, and Im glad we did! Had the pancake, tofu, and the boneless galbi. Best Ive had at any restaurant. We also ate here again before returning to the city.

Says it closes at 10 pm. I drove 20 minutes to get there. There were about 20 people there. All just eating meals. They turned me away. Weird experience. Next to a Subway. Hmmm. Service not good though I cannot say anything about the food.

We were craving Korean food on our road trip and stopped here. My husband and I lived in Korea so weve had our fair share of Korean food. This place did not disappoint! We will be back the next time we pass through :)

We drive an hour to come here about once a month. The food is fantastic and our server Kevin is courteous and always brings out our favorite banchan so our visits are extra delightful. We are loyal patrons for life.

Excellent food and service. After living in Seoul for six years, its great to finally have some authentic Korean food in the Hartford area. A little bit pricey, but a good deal if you take advantage of the sides.

I went here with a group of friends and it was great food with a fun atmosphere and options. The service was fast and our food came out quickly as well. Id recommend this place for a fun time and good Korean BBQ!

Disappointed is all I can say. Ive been here before almost a year ago and food was full of favor. This time got undercooked salty food. Even the rice doesnt have that Asian sticky rice texture and taste.
