I ordered brisket, beef short ribs, pork belly and meatloaf, along with cajun fries and mac & cheese. Delivered in a reasonable time and the food was warm, even though I am a good distance away from Bull & Swine (thanks, UberEats!) The Good: Mac & cheese was delicious. The Kansas City style barbecue sauce is really tasty. The Meh: Beef short ribs were hard and dry on the ends, and only retained moisture and pliability where there was natural fat. There were parts that were inedible, they were so hard and dry. The meatloaf was flavorful, but incredibly dry. The cajun fries were 100% average. The Bad: The brisket was insanely dry. I mean incredibly dry. Solid grey, with absolutely no smoke ring and zero bark. It tasted like school lunchroom beef. Just a flat, generic, grey meat taste. The pork belly was hard as a rock anywhere it wasnt pure pork fat. The meat on the belly was utterly dry, and portions were inedible as they were rock hard, dry chunks. I dont know if I was served crap because I was a delivery customer, and what am I gonna do, send it back? All I know is, I wont be ordering again.

Absolutely phenomenal the amount of effort hard work and dedication that go into the production of the food at this place is ridiculous. On top of that the service is absolutely out of this world is completely personalized and theyre committed to going over the top for their customers every single time. If you are a fan of cocktails they have a really killer lineup of craft Nitro cocktails which are absolutely delicious and the menu is basically a work of art. If you like barbecue youre not going to find another place like this in Connecticut. That said its kind of got a cool cozy atmosphere that you dont really expect from a barbecue place as its definitely a little bit more trendy and suited to the New Haven crowd but I imagine it fills up pretty quick in there because its relatively small.

Wonderful barbecue. Very small potions which I do admit hit the spot. Just think of barbeque, piled high . Okay so I had the brisket and my other party had pork belly and shoulder. Which is one belly and on strip of shoulder, we shared the mac and cheese, which was awesome smokey cheese goodness. Also they have fried green tomato on a sandwich, which I asked to sample and also gave a little advice . Serve fried green tomatoes as a side. The tomato also was very delcious. Ill be back guys , to try the grits and fish. Wish a sandwich h was really a deep south sandwich. (Pile on the beef,Ill pay.)

Decent BBQ place. Food is good. Wings are crispy and the sauce is tasty. The pork ribs were by far the best of what we ordered, juicy meat and tender. The shoulder was decent, though tough in certain areas and somewhat dry. The sauces available at the table were also pretty good and give a good variety. The bar is decently stocked with well beers. However, the place is overpriced. The money you pay is not worth the quality/amount of meat you get. However, if you are in the mood for some BBQ, itll hit the spot

Cajun Lemonade is actually spicy--and delicious, as is the Beale St #1. Standouts were: the sweet potato mash; fried okra and cucumbers (fantastic batter and deliciously salty); beef brisket (delicious ribbon of fat); smoked and fried chicken wings (actually tasted like they were smoked and fried); chorizo (delicious homemade sausage, though more Italian than Spanish style seasonings); pork ribs so tender the bones fell out; beef marrow (melty-soft spread over grilled bread).

Great place to dine - jerk chicken was moist fell off the bone . We also had the chorizo that was also tastey. The fried okra and pickles with creamy dip was a nice start as was the spicy bacon and believe me it was very spicy. Couldnt get dessert no mattet how much it tempted us. When back in CT it will be a place to come and dine again.

We tried the platter and some extra sides. The barbecue was hit or miss, the ribs were great, the brisket was like whatevs. Overall, a bit bland compared to most southern barbecue. The beer list was fine but underwhelming. Ill be coming back for sure, but theres something left to be desired.

Bull & Swine has delicious BBQ in the heart of East Rock and I dont know why I havent been here sooner. The food here is fantastic, the atmosphere is fun, and the drink selection is nice. The Chicken and Waffles were delicious and the brisket was perfect.

Loving this gentrifying "East Rock" area of New Haven, and Bull & Swine make a good go-to. Great cocktail prices, good food. Sauces are a little less than spectacular, however, but overall an A.

The food was excellent. I highly recommend. The half a chicken had flavor and was very juicy. The ribs were to die for. They need to sell their sauce.

Im a vegetarian so I cant comment on the meat, but the sides are AMAZING. The collard greens, fried tomatoes and cornbread are a perfect meal.
