When the food is cooked well its great it depends on the mood and experience of the cook but they usually are nice people and work hard . I would of rated it 4 stars but my last visit I took my 2 young children and niece for hotdogs and fries and the man working the register decided not to tell me the size of the fries . So long story short I end up with a 44$ bill at a burger joint I was looking for a relatively inexpensive lunch that wasnt cheap cheap ... like good but not McDonalds cheap .... so when we got our food I said wow thats alot if bags for what we ordered . 3 bags were fries!! we ate our food and we honestly between the 5 of us could of shared one maybe 2 fries .......soooo after I dumped all the fries left over into one bag no joke it was about 5 lbs maybe more such a waste of food and money I was pissed and we are outside cause it was nice out and they wouldnt unlock the side door for some reason they didnt have they key...... so I had to walk around to the front leaving my wife with 3 young kids (shes pregnant and the seating has no divider to the road ) by herself to walk all the way around when they needed this and that. I went inside and mentioned to the same guy that rung us out and he said o ya i should of mentioned that I apologize but what a jerk ! Thanks for ruining our lunch pal! Not going back at least to this location . I dont feel like he was really sorry for wasting my money I feel like it was intentional!

Middletown five guys is better in every way, taste is definitely better at Middletown.. meriden burgers taste like I made them myself at my house or worese & Im a terrible cook, the frys in Meriden were like if I made them myself at myself & I dont know how to cook, the atmosphere is not so great compared to Middletown also, everybody is so happy in Middletown & greats & thanks you which is unforgettable, I was warned of the taste of the Meriden five guys & found out for myself & its been a while since they opened & have not changed the taste, I recommend getting the secret recipe from Middletown.. I rated 2 stars because I didnt want to be bad but I really wanted to leave 1 star

Waited for the place to open at 11:00 as advertised. Waited for 20 mintues. Employees saw people waiting and refused to acknowledge. We finally drove away. Wont go there again.

Great food as always, but they havent found their identity yet. Theyre not a "fun" five guys yet. Other locations scream out patties and look like theyre genuinely having fun.

Worst five guys experience EVER. Me and my partners orders were messed up but clearly stated on the receipt. Super disappointed.
