I am so sad to write this review, but it must be said. First things first. The food is excellent. Really, very good. I am a food enthusiast and pizza is hands down my favorite thing to eat. Mulberry Street, you make some GREAT pizza, BUT I was APPAULED by the service my freinds and I recieved. I have been to many many restaurants in my lifetime, and I have never been treated so badly. I had just moved across town in Manchester. On Sunday April 17, 2011, after everything was moved, I sent my freinds who helped me down to Mulberry Street, as I had often raved about it and was excited to show it off. While I was returning the truck, my friends called me and said that they wouldnt seat them until all of our party had arrived. Ok, maybe on a friday or saturday night I could understand, but this was a Sunday afternoon and the place was empty. My freinds were very polite and asked if they could at least put an order in for a pizza while they waited for me to arrive, as everyone was starving. They said NO? What?! When I finally arrived I asked to speak with a manager and was told by the comepletely RUDE hostess, that "no, I could not see the manager and that he would say the same thing." So, I promptly took my party of 6 and went to Pepes up the Street. I will NEVER go back.

The atmosphere is a nice country feel with a good bar but its a long wait every time we go. The food is very tasty however when its delivered its cold, a smaller portion and not appetizing plus it takes between an hour to 1 1/2 hours for delivery. I always feel as if Im inconveniencing the person on the phone when ordering. My salad last night was $16.90 plus a $4 tip. The website said $8.50 for the salad but the person on the phone said their prices have increased. WOW! The time before I placed an order for delivery I felt like I was really putting them out and when the order arrived they forgot part of it. When I called back they said they were busy and could bring it to the house to following night for free. My reply was, its not free if I already paid for it and its a night late. they followed with a sarcastic "well what do you wan to me to do about it". I still think the food is great and eating in is nice but they need to work on their service and prices. Unfortunately last night was the final straw and I will not be ordering delivery from them again.

On top of their game across the pizza menu! 1 of the best NY style brick oven pizzas Ive had within Central CT... we tried their wild west pie which was topped with cheddar, jack, bacon, ranch and a few other things Im prob missing and it was delicious! I thought the crust was great (not THE best for NY style crust.. but definitely up there)... had a really nice crisp but just slightly chewy... just a bit... other than that pizza was great. Also had some Delicious apps while we were there... overall food was fantastic. Regarding atmosphere, pretty decent size spot for a family owned joint... place was very lively (we went on a Sat night) on both the dining room side as well as the bar (which is separated). You can see the cooking area which is a nice add... as packed as the place was, the owner actually came out and introduced himself to any faces he didnt recognize... def a nice touch...

Ordered the same sandwich for lunch 3-4 times. On the top of the online menu it says: "All sandwiches served on a rustic foccacia bread, unless stated. Add french fries to any sandwhich for 1.25." Ive added fries for $1.25 no problem all 3-4 of those times. Called one night, ordered the same thing and got a much higher total so I explained the menu clearly states the $1.25 price for french fry add ons. Eventually the owner got on the phone and said "the menu online is for dining in only" and take out is somehow more. She was a little grumpy about it and had an attitude so I just hung up. The food here was always decent, pizza is not so good, but Ive always received a sort of snotty attitude by the waitresses and this interaction with the owner sort of explains it all.

Nachos are delicious! Grilled Chicken & Pesto sandwich melts in my mouth! The Goodfellas and As Good As It Gets are my favorite pizzas. The atmosphere in the restaurant is pleasant. I have never been disappointed with Mulberry. One of the last times I was there, I was waiting for another person in my party before leaving and the owner just walked up to me a gave me a slice of DELICIOUS carrot cake for later :) Perfect ending to a delicious meal!

Ive been looking for a great place to have pasta thats close to home and not a chain. Its definitely a miss here. Ive tried 3 times and all 3 times, pasta was warm (if not cold) and watery with no taste. Especially disappointed with the Penne ala Vodka. But on the other hand everytime Ive had the pizza its been really good. Nothing impressive overall but a good around the corner place to go.

The food is always spot on here. I have been many times and have always enjoyed my meal. The owner is very customer-centric and almost every visit, he visits my table to make sure I am enjoying myself. I highly suggest some of their inventive pizzas, and the pulled pork nachos are one of my favorites! Great atmosphere, awesome people, and AMAZING food. I would go back again and again.

Awesome "Jaws" White Pie with Clams, Mozz, Bacon & Garlic. The barkeep was very friendly and attentive. The Black Hog Stout took a Guinness style beer to whole new level. The side Cesar was exceptional with very fresh and crisp romaine, homemade dressing and to die for croutons. The bar ambiance is perfect for dining solo.

Good pizza. REALLY GOOD. but getting it from the oven to your table, you can grow old. REALLY OLD. I know it takes time to make a pizza, but not an hour. The food is very good. The salads are gorgeous and fresh. Prices are okay. But the time it takes to actually eat is ridiculous. Still...the pizza is fantastic.

Excellent pizza. Expect to pay ~$20 per pizza. The 18" is a lot of food, came as a group of 3 and ordered two 18" pizzas - finished less than half of each one (not complaining, looking forward to eating leftovers tomorrow!) Popular place with locals, expect a wait. Decent bar where you can grab a drink too.

We come here once or twice a month and the food is always good. They offer comfort foods and more elaborate dishes too. Their pizza is exquisite and the salmon is always cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. Its super enjoyable on a cold winter evening.

Food is good and yummy, prices are average +, however, it takes a while to wait till sit sometimes, and serving is a bit slow. I wish they could read the reviews, most claims for lack of service, as a business its time to step up and upgrade the down sides.
