Our group was a mix of guys from Texas, Georgia, and a few other spots. Were all big BBQ fans. This place was darn tasty! The ribs were juicy and cooked to just about perfect. The pulled pork was juicy and really fresh tasting. The BBQ beans were good and the fries were crisp. They have two different types of BBQ sauce - One is dark and sweet, the Second is similar with what tasted like a mix of black and white pepper mixed in. So, it had kick, but little burn. For a 2 meat platter with 2 sides and a drink, be prepared to pay about $20 after taxes. Im a big guy though and I didnt quite finish it all, so rest assured that the portions were good. I walked away happy with the purchase. Places like this are nice because you can tell the owners really put their heart into the business - instead of some corporate chain only concerned with the profit side of things. And, Im a Carolina-style pork bbq fan at heart, so you know this place had to wow me being that its a different style.

Though literally RIGHT across the street from me, 1/2 a minute away from my home, it took me a while to go. On my first visit, I ordered small pulled pork sandwich and fries. The sandwich was the BOMB - the fries were horrible (cold, mushy) so on my second visit I ordered pulled pork sandwich and twice baked potato salad. I was driving to a track meet in Collierville (not eating it right away) so I asked for my slaw on he side and I would put it on when I got to Collierville. The TINY cup was the same size as one of those little paper cups for ketchup and sauces. Why not give customer the SAME amount of slaw as if theyd asked for the slaw ON the sandwich instead of on the side? I LOVE slaw so this was super annoying to me - this made no sense whatsoever. Im going to give them one more chance soon and after that, 3 strikes out. I will go back to my previous BBQ spots.

Worst brisket I have ever come across in my life. Clearly not smoked for long, if at all, and instead of cooking the meat slowly at low heat, as brisket is cooked in virtually all decent BBQ joints, they cooked it quickly and sliced it very thin to try to make up for it. The resulting product is a grey, flavorless, thin slice of beef that is so full of fat and connective tissue that it is inedible. And I mean literally INEDIBLE. I chewed and chewed and it remained in its same disgusting form due to the fact it hadnt been cooked properly. The fact that it is a Memphis restaurant, where BBQ is world renowned, makes it even more disappointing. The sides were actually pretty good, but nothing would be good enough to redeem the absolute garbage I was served. Again, this was THE WORST BRISKET I HAVE EVER TRIED TO CONSUME.

One & Only BBQ, who are they fooling? This is a review of the new location on Timber creek in Cordova. 1st this has to be the most over priced BBQ in history. Today I purchased a Pork sandwich combo. $10.91 for a small sandwich with fries and a very small drink. They actually microwave a plastic bag of pre- cooked meat right in front of me. After my 30 minute wait to get my food I was disappointed when the waiter handed me the smallest cup of lemonade I have ever seen. Once i returned to work with my lunch I was further disappointed in my meal because the meat was hard and stuck together, My 12 year old son can produce a better product. With Jerry Lawlers right down the street the One & Only isnt just a stupid name but its a waste of money.

This review is solely based on the 1779 Kirby Pkwy location. I visit Memphis monthly for work & I usually only dine at One & Only Bbq & one other local restaurant. Customer service at this location is lack luster to say the least. On the evening on June 24, 2017 the restaurant was fairly slow adding to the mystery of the long wait time and by the time I got my food it was lukewarm. In addition to the ill favored customer service my order was awful. *Chk #247* The smoked turkey was extremely dry, the baked beans were bland, the Texas toast was brittle & the cole slaw was rancid. I had no idea One & Only BBQ could be this bad. Do yourself a favor & go to the Perkins Location.

Great experience here. I ordered the full rack of ribs, dry rub. The ribs were excellent and the dry rub had a great taste. My sides were twice baked potato salad and baked beans. The potato salad was some of the best Ive ever had. Service was excellent, food was great. A little on the pricey side, my meal was $30 not including tip, but at the same time, its homemade ribs and sides so that is expected to be pricier. Only reason I didnt give 5 stars was because the dining room was just small and kind of crowded. Not much space to move around or relax. I recommend this place for sure.

Whats a trip to Memphis without barbecue? This is one of two places I tried along with Central BBQ and One and Only was the clear winner. We tried the sausage and pulled pork and both were delicious with the pulled pork being most impressive. Also loved their variety of sauces. Their deviled eggs were awesome and I was even happy with the potato salad. We sat outside despite it being hot because the inside space was really cramped and looked uncomfortable. Luckily they didnt have the A/C on blast so you can sit outside without suffering additional hot blasts.

Stopped in while on vacation. Our first resturant choice (Mexican) was packed. Our second choice was janky looking, so we nixed that choice. Third choice was a charm. Small number of tables, some outside on front porch. Greeted by friendly staff. Smells great, food is better. Flavors are well balanced, no flavor over powers another. Great choice of appetizers, entrees and desserts. Meats can be purchased by pound, some desserts can be purchased in whole quantities(tray of banana pudding). Nice quantity of food for the price which isnt bad either.

This was my 1st time eating there should have dinned in but didnt have much time so I opted 4 the drive thru. The food was delicious however NEVER order the nachos from the drive thru I had more chips then meat no nacho cheese sauce all around it was dry and extremely nasty and the chicken was COLD! I didnt take it back which I should have but i was pressed 4 time. Im going 2 return & When I do I will re-review. I also ordered the sliders which were fantastic and the chicken wings were equally amazing but I was TOTALLY DISATISFIED with the nachos!

POTIONS ARE OF GREAT SIZE. I HAD THE BBQ CHICKEN NACHOS MY BF HAD THE RIBS WITH FRIES BAKED BEANS AND TEXAS TOAST. I NEVER EAT ALL MY FOOD. NEVER SHY TO GET A TO GO BOX.......BUT NOT TODAY!!! THE CHICKEN IS SO TENDER ALMOST DONT NEED TO CHEW IT BUT AS HUMANS WE HAVE TO LOL! THE SERVICE WAS GREAT AND I DONT KNOW IF HE WAS THE OWNER OR MANAGER BUT HE WALKED AROUND MAKING SURE EVERYONE WAS WELL TAKEN CARE OF! HE EVEN HAD TIME TO CHAT A BIT. I LOVE IT! NOT TO MENTION THE SWEET TEA WAS AWESOME. OCT 17, 2015 I WAS THERE!
