"I really WANTED to like this place." My husband and I went in about a month ago and walked back out. However, we went back based upon recommendations from a couple of friends. I was SO disappointed. Most of the food choices are frozen (or canned). Some fresh items: broccoli, zucchini, cilantro * The meat is frozen - or artificial ie "krab". * Lots of cross-contamination of foods in the bins plus hands of little tykes. Saw this happen repeatedly. * I saw several people drop some of their heaped food into the sauces. * The cooking "wheel" is really what killed it for me. There is a "slop" section in the middle where they push the residue from the previous persons food (this is cleaned with water and a scraper) before they put your food on the cooking surface. * There is also a trench around the wheel where they scrape off their spatulas as they rotate around and mix up the food as it cooks. The edges of the trench have food sticking to it. All of that aside, I wasnt impressed with the taste. My salad was okay but way overdressed. I tried two different sauces (Bean Garlic and Peanut). The peanut had a lot of coconut taste to it (has coconut milk in it) - I didnt finish that. The Bean Garlic was quite spicy (had a 2-flame rating) and I dont have a wimpy palate. My son got me a small bowl of mango (it was partially thawed, btw) that they got especially for him which was very nice. However, they had to do this "due to the contamination of the mango on the line." Those were their words. All items from the line need to be cooked due to this contamination process from those that go through the line plus from other foods that are dropped into adjoining food bins. Our server was sweet and conscientious but overwhelmed. Everyone was friendly and the manager was out and about. I thought the price was high for the quality that is offered: $12.99 for adults (dinner). The place was packed at around 6:45pm on a Thursday night so they are obviously not hurting for business. However, I will not go back.

Quick Review: + Friendly Servers + Great cooks + They cook your food right in front of you + The bars are well stocked - Theres a lot of cross contamination - The bars and bowls arent kept very clean The servers are pretty good (especially Alex), the cooks are great, they keep the food and sauce bar stocked pretty well (except for the noodles) BUT they could definitely improve on how clean they keep the bars and bowls. The bars and glass typically have smears all over and fingerprints all over them (something I was surprised to see when we arrived just as they opened), the tongs had stuck on food one of the times we were there, and the bowls are somewhat hit and miss with cleanliness. More times than not I have to wipe my bowl out or scrape a small amount of dried on food off. Ive also seen them refresh the food bins but put the same dirty tongs in the new bin of food instead of setting out a new pair. The bathrooms are clean but one of the three stalls are usually out of order.

I love the food its wonderful, the reason I gave it only 3 stars is because we eat there 2 times a week at least. The servers kinda dont come back your done with your meal by the time you get a refill. They dont have much of a food variety to mix together like other restaurants that do this type of food and cooking. The cooks are horrible!!! They are young kids that fling around a spatula think they are cool which in reality they are wasting food and drying it out. We have to tell them to cook it longer for the vegetables or they will be hard and under cooked which we should not have to tell them, they fling the food around so much the juices are gone and the food is dry. We knowing this now have to add 5 scoops of our juices to our 2 we used to do. Its the cooks. They need better training , bad!!!

Pay attention to the poor poor cooks that work there with no management oversight. 1) they use that sink in that area that is meant for hand washing only, per health code regulations to fill water bottles to use on the grill. They also store the oil and water bottles there and that is against health code regulations. 2) they wipe the spatulas below mixing in everyones food but even grosser is that food splatter where they wipe there spatulas is never cleaned. So that food is growing bacteria and they keep wiping there spatulas on it. The service is a joke, the servers they have hired are in bad taste and whoever hired them was not thinking about guest perception. Stay away from this place and if there are still open in a year I would be shocked.

The service was so terrible that it out shadowed how wonderful the cooks were. We did not get our drinks until halfway through our meal. We did not get our rice until AFTER we had already eaten our meal. The waitress was no where to be found either. It was our first time there and the hostess didnt even explain what we needed to do, we were confused as to what we were supposed to do. When we asked to talk to the manager, he did not even care. He didnt listen to what we had to say about the service and just said "thats not how we are here." Thanks bud but thats exactly what just happened. I mean there were a ton of staff members there, so there is no reason why she would have messed up that bad.

The servers were friendly and helpful. The grill is the stumbling block here. I went at lunch when it was busy. There was only one cook to prepare food for 13 of use queued up (and more filling their bowls) so the sauces burned on the grill and the food was overcooked. Another reviewer commented that they "clean" the spatulas below the grill, they still do, a VERY clear health-code violation. To add to the violations, the floor and ledge below where they "clean" the spatulas had lots of food just standing there. While the price is reasonable, the germ reservoirs and poorly cooked food mean that I wont be back.

Ive come to this location several times. The sauce part is always pretty nasty with sauces everywhere. I think the ladles are too long so you cant really pour it into your bowl well. We went here on a Saturday night and the place was DISGUSTING. It was so dirty. The sauces were exceptionally gross. The floor was covered with oils. The "cooks" splashed that water everywhere. Ive never seen it being cleaned in such a messy way. I think they were short staffed. There isnt beef or shrimp or at least that night. I would go to BDs Mongolian any time and will from now on. WAY cleaner and faster service.

Lewis the manager is extremely rude. My kids and husband did like the food. Or waitress Keahu was nice and attentive. Lewis forced my 10 year old and the rest of our family to separate thru the line. I tried to explain to him that he was separating us from our my son. He said" so what"! The restaurant was crowded. The line was very long. My 10 year old sat at a table by himself and ate, while the rest of us were 10 minutes behind him . Thanks for a wonderful family bonding lunch Lewis! I do not recommend going in a group. There was 5 in our group. Due to the manager we were separated from our youngest.
