We have been going here for quite some time, never had a problem and always enjoyed our visit. We went there tonight on 10/19, between all of us there at our table we had about 5 plates of crab legs. When my husband had gotten up to go back to the buffet he caught the wait staff going through our plates cracking open all crab legs and pulling out any meat left in the crab legs!!! They were putting into a seperate bowl, now wondering what are they doing to do with that meat??? After realizing they had been caught the waitress came right over to the table to explain that meat was left in the crab and it was wasteful, and they wanted to charge more for the crab meat they found. Sometimes a little meat sticks to the inside, and when I pay for a meal I dont expect someone to tell me how I have to eat it. It is an all you can eat buffet, you are only charged one price. And that price is a bit high if you ask me... After seeing them pick the meat out of the crablegs and putting in a bowl, I am afraid they might be using it elsewhere on the buffet to save money. They also became rude and pushy to get us to leave. Needless to say we wont be returning.

Also für jeden etwas dabei. Wer Rindfleisch mag geht besser zu Golden Corral.

The food was exceptional for a buffet and the price was amazing for lunch (less than $10 per person with a drink and after tax). My boyfriend and I went for lunch on a Friday around 1pm, and the food seemed very fresh and it was very busy, so the turnover was fast (empty trays were filled promptly). The reason for the mediocre rating is purely based on the service and surroundings. We waited close to 3 minutes to be sat at a table, we were sat at the only table without soy sauce, and did not get one refill. In fact, the offer of a refill was given right as we were preparing to leave. On top of that, be cautious around the steam heated dishes, as the seal around the edges isnt very good. I walked out of this restaurant with a pretty noticeable steam burn from one of the trays. In a nutshell, try to get there during the down hours, be cautious of the steam trays when reaching for the tongs/serving spoon, and hope you get a more attentive server. Ill most likely go back for the food, and Im praying Ill be more impressed with the service the second time around.

Ive eaten at Ultimate Buffet my last 2 visits to Colorado Springs. So far this is the best buffet I have found in Colorado Springs. Selection of items on the buffet is pretty wide, even for the non Chinese items. The grill area had a decent selection of steak, shrimp and grilled vegetables. The Chinese items were very varied and many were decently prepared. One of them I liked that I dont see all the time was the peanut sauce chicken. The sushi area was good as well, while they advertise over 25 types of rolls and a dozen nigiri, the buffet area had about 8 rolls at the 2 times I visited. Service at the restaurant is good, one time I got a waitress who did not seem to speak english. But she did a decent job clearing my plates and refilling my drinks. Overall I found the buffet decent, I have tried 2 others in town and ultimately returned back to this one on my last trip.

The best way I can describe this place is to compare it to Golden Corral, only for Chinese food. They have similar prices (me, wife 2 kids ate for $36), similar quality and freshness of food (which is to say pretty impressive), and an astounding variety of Chinese/Sushi dishes to try. I loaded up on sashimi (salmon) and Chinese spareribs, my wife hit up the seafood scampi (medley of squid, scallops, shrimp, and muscles cooked in butter sauce) and the bok choi. My kids, who arent as adventurous, still had their fill - they both feasted on large portions of macncheese, mashed potatoes, french fries, and pizza (to me, its like going to a great Italian restaurant and ordering a burger - but to each their own). Id recommend this restaurant to anyone whos not allergic to seafood. Two satisfied thumbs up!

I was hopeful because of some of the positive reviews, but severely disappointed. The food is cold, throughout the entire buffet, it is either dry or soggy, and the service poor considering it is a buffet - all that needs to be done is picking up used plates, and refreshing drinks as needed. Even when you let them know that the food is cold, and of poor quality the staff simply shrugs it off. And when I say cold, I mean the cheese in anything from wontons, potato skins, and stuffed mushrooms has gone back to its solid form. The only plus side is they have a clean salad bar, but obviously watered down salad dressings - I dont know anyone who would pay 12 dollars for an all you can eat salad bar with runny dressings anyway. Do not waste your time, or hard earned money.

I eat here very frequently for lunch, often once or twice a week. By far my favorite lunch spot in town! If you get water to drink, and pay a 20% tip, youre looking at a really really good buffet for less than $10. Seriously, I havent come across a Chinese buffet that has better food than this place. For example, everyone makes sesame chicken very similar to orange chicken. Not these guys. Orange chicken is similar to how it is everywhere else, but I have yet to find a place that makes sesame chicken like this place does: crispy! Sooo delicious. The sushi here is superb and a large selection too. There really is nothing here that I dont like! The Chinese buffet restaurant that all others only wish to be as good as.

The Ultimate Buffet is just ridiculous. I don’t give out many 5 star ratings. And I’m not a fan of buffets. But this place is off the hook when you boil down what you get for your money! For $17 you get a soft drink and all you can eat steak, snow crab legs, shrimp, oysters, muscles, sushi and about a dozen or more other entree’s. It’s fantastic. Nothing is top-notch quality. Service is erratic. The place is a bit of a madhouse. But you just cannot beat this deal for what you get to eat. I don’t know how the place profits but I hope they’re doing well because I’d like to come back again the next time I’m in the Springs.

Went there for dinner and the waitress spilled someone elses food, mostly sweet and sour sauce, all down my side from my shirt to my shoes. It splattered when it fell so some of it ended up all over. The waitress tried to clean it up with the same rag she used to clean the table. She was super apologetic but that was it. No discount, no comp, nothing. Talked to one of the owners on the way out and all she said was that we had already paid and with a credit card. Guess they dont know how to give credits or even a gift certificate would have been nice. Other restaurants treat their customers better. Go there instead.
