Heard about the resturant on the local radio. Have enjoyed Mongolian resturants in several locations; Virginia Beach, VA, Chantilly, VA, Lincoln, NE to name a few. All of them were excellent. My wife and I were looking forward to another fine dining experience. Here is what we discovered. First of all, at all of the above locations all ingredients were very fresh. At this Mongolian Grill the carrots were brown and wilted. There was a very limited number to vegetables as well. There were carrots, cabbage, cucumbers, bean sprouts, onions, green peppers (less than fresh), brocolli, and that was it. At most GOOD Mongolian Grills, there is a large number to vegetable, that are very fresh. There is normally celery, cauliflour, shredder carrots, not sliced, calle, onions, green and red peppers, bean sprouts, alfala sprouts, green onions, scallions, and others. The "meat ingredients" were pretty much the same as the others. The next place lacking were in the spices that are added by each patron to finish their bowl. There was no chopped garlic, or no red pepper paste. There was garlic oil, and red pepper oil. Now the real kicker, I like my meal spicier than most. I add extra red pepper and other spicy ingredients. At most Mongolian Grills when you hand the chef your bowl they cook it on an "area" on the grill, keeping your food and flavors together and not mixed with the others who might like different things than me. At this Mongolian Grill, the chef empties your bowl on the grill and walks it around the entire cooking surface, several times, while additional chefs are cooking the same at the same time, also walking around the grill. This does two things. It mixes flavors from other individual bowls, that they may not want to taste, and it also has the potential to induce a bad alergic reaction for someone alergic to an ingredient other than what is in there bowl, for instance, peanuts. They dont offer you different soups, they brought us only Egg Drop Soup. They brought us a small bowl of rice. I dont know how fresh it was. It was cold and didnt "cling" very well. I was able to get additional rice, at no additional charge, but it was the same as the first bowl. At my most favorite Chinese Resturant, Golden China, Chantilly, VA, they clean the grill after each area is used. This ensures the integrity of your taste and ensures no one elses ingredients are integreated into your meal. In the case of this meal, my wife, who does not like her meals as spicy as I do, had a great deal of my spiciness added to her bowl and was not able to finish her meal. At the other resturants they allow additional trips to the "buffet" at little or no additional costs, not here. They seem to cut on ingredients to help cut overhead costs. The overall cost of the meal was ok, but adding the additional trip to the price would be better. I would give this resturant one more chance. But they have a great deal to improve first.

EAT HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK! Seriously, consider this a public health warning. I went there last night for dinner (regretfully!) and am in shock that a restaurant like this is even allowed to serve the public. First bad sign; A couple walked in in front of us holding a small dog that was not a service animal. They proceeded to sit at a booth and put the dog on the seat next to them. I reported this situation to our waitress, who then told the older female Asian owner who did nothing about it and let the dog stay for the duration of their meal. The meat they serve is very thin frozen slices of mystery meat that when cooked, tasted like the texture of a shoe sole. The buffet line is filthy with sauces strewn everywhere in containers that look like theyre never cleaned. After they put your raw meat and vegetables on the grill, they RINSE OUT the same bowl with water and re-use it to put your cooked food back into it. When my nephew tried to order the chicken nuggets off the menu, the same owner lady laughed at us and said they didnt have any. Next, both the mens and ladies restrooms had NO SOAP in the soap dispensers. How are the employees washing their hands?! And they have to chop up all of those vegetables by hand WITHOUT HAVING ANY SOAP! This is repulsive. In the ladies restroom there were visible feces smears on the toilet seat and bowl. I have never been so repulsed by a restaurant in my life. If I hadnt been with a large group of people I would have walked out the minute I walked in. So, in summary, if getting a large bowl of E Coli covered vegetables, mystery meat and noodles for $10 is your idea of fun then you should definitely hit this place up.

First, we eat here about once a month, and the first time (~3 yrs ago) it was a bit confusing, but once you understand the system (you pick your own ingredients and they cook it in front of you), the food always comes out great and the service is good (not 5 star good, but more than acceptable), so we would HIGHLY recommend them, and whenever we have guests in from out of town it is one of the first places we go. On a side note - A couple days ago I was in there, getting food to go, and I was _starving_ and not paying attention. Anyway, I left my wallet in there with a descent amount of cash, and didnt notice it was missing until the next day. After tearing the house apart looking for it, I called them, and they had it. When I went to pick up my wallet all the money was still in there, I gave the very sweet waitress a $20 and thanked them more than a few times for their honesty. So, Mongolian Grill, thank you one last time, and Ill be seeing you even more often now!

Prices are climbing and quality is dropping. The service is not too bad, though, unless youre talking about the idiots who prepare your food. No matter how you season or prepare your own dish, theyll always drown it in teriyaki sauce--even after you tell them not to. The vegetables on the prep line have been seeming less and less fresh as time goes on. Maybe theyre the same ones I see over the course of a month of visiting, but you can tell by the taste that the veggies arent up to snuff. Im a bit hesitant about the meats, too, because even though I havent had a problem with them yet, if theyre not taking care on the produce, theyre probably extending the same discourtesy to the meat and shrimp. Kind of a shame, though, because this kind of restaurant is a welcome novelty and a change of pace from typical Pueblo fare--where everything is drenched in green chili (a.k.a. boiled snot with jalapenos)--and it used to be well worth the price.

Experience wasnt good from the start. As we entered the restaurant I noticed a guy laying down playing on his phone in one of the booths, then the table that the hostess sat us at hadnt been properly wiped down and cleaned, the high chairs were dirty, sticky and still had food stuff on them. The floor in the restaurant was dirty and to top it off, the drinks that we ordered were outrageously priced at $2.35 for a glass of soda pop and sweet tea. Because of the way the place looked and also because of the review from the health dept, we didnt even order food or drink from the cups they brought our drinks in. I hope they clean up their establishment for future customers.
