Just left, and was a little disappointed. Thought it being a Friday night it would be a little busy but was pretty dead and probably for that reason the meat looked like it was done hours ago. Pulled pork was good after I slathered it in bbq sauce (really liked their sauce btw) but the brisket was super dry. Corn was over done most likely for the same reason. Fries were really disappointing, but the ribs were tender and delicious-even though they looked a bit old themselves. Boyfriend said potato salad was really good and loved the coleslaw. Would definitely be willing to try again if it was peak hours.

BBQ was fine and a nice lunch after a morning at Garden of the Gods. Was there on a Saturday afternoon. It was pretty busy because it was lunch time and they had a car show in the parking lot. Didnt give this place 5 stars because the order line was a little chaotic. It was loud and my partner didnt get the right order because the guy behind the counter couldnt hear him. The food didnt feel like it was at it freshest, it had been sitting out for a little bit to accommodate the amount of people. That being said, the food is well priced.

Excellent BBQ. X to XXX sauces (I think the XXX could use extra habaneros)...My experiences at Bird Dog BBQ, the best, if not the only true BBQ spot in Colorado Springs. Spare Ribs (5 stars), half chicken (5 stars), baked beans, corncob, ambient excellent as it overlooks pikes peak. My neighborhood bbq spot highly recommend (and there are others that want to be called bbq). Thanks, Barbecue Enthusiast that cooks and eats well.

Great food every time. Friendly staff, no frills seating area. Sides and sauces are on point but I agree with what Alec reports below, the meat is lean, constant and can be a bit dry, heavily combed over. On the plus side you wont find huge undesirable chunks of fat like you might somewhere else. Lastly these guys need to get away from the styrofoam cups tho. This aint a Juicy J video shoot, quit filling up the landfill my dog!

As a family we sampled most of the meats here. While the bbq is a tiny bit dry, with their sauces the flavor is spot on!! The links were not super impressive, but the ribs, brisket and pulled pork were all great (no small feat two get all three of those tasting great in the same restaurant either!!!). There service was awesome, super friendly staff, even came by the table to check on you after you sit with your order!

Not bad, not great, but good. Little dissappointed with how sterile the meat was. Very lean with consistent texture and very "safe" seasoning. The meat definately requires their sauce (which is delicious btw) to boost the flavor. I wish there was more smokiness, zing, char, or fat and gristle. Like i said its good, and tender, but lacking something the bold bbq flavor that i personally prefer.

1st trip to this place - chosen due to high ratings. I purchased 2lbs of their brisket to go. No smoke ring or smoke flavor. Not worth the price-for brisket- when I could have just made a roast beef and had the exact same result. STAFF WAS AWESOME! Ill go back to try something else just because the staff and service was great. (I was not able to share my review with the staff as I ordered to go)

We found this on Google and decided to try it. My husband and I ordered the Shotgun and it was truly AMAZING. The brisket was tender the potato was perfect and that was the food. The service was AMAZING. The guy making the plates was patient as we tried to figure what to eat and the manager was friendly attentive to his customers. We had to personally say thank you for an amazing dinner

I had them cater our event for 100 and it was awesome! Great food with everything you would need including tables and warmers. Thier package included three meats and two types of cobbler while everyone else I checked offered only two meats and no dessert for the same price. They delivered and picked up the tables afterwards. They will be our go-to company for our catering needs!

Went in just before closing. Some things were no longer available which is common with bbq. Had the chicken and it was cooked great. Good flavor. All sides were plentiful and done right. I had fried okra and baked beans. They had sweet tea as well which was great. Very friendly staff and the give a nice discount for active or prior military and law enforcement. I will come back

First time going here today bc of all the positive hearsay although we had a negative food experience-staff was great though. Do not order the brisket, dif go to Rudys for brisket! It was super dry and I had to drench it in BBQ sauce (they do have good mild BBQ sauce). Friend I went with had the pulled pork sandwhich with coleslaw and he said it was just ok

I like this place! The team was friendly and my 1/2 lb. pulled pork plate was delicious...even boxed half the meal to-go. I also had a piece of Texas style break, coleslaw that was "just right" (not too wet/not too dry) and fries (fresh and hot). The peach cobbler is also really good. Will definitely be back...next time Im going for the ribs!

Fantastic! Coming from living in Tennessee, Alabama, and Florida thats saying something. The food is amazing and relatively cheap! The staff is super helpful and nice. We tried the chicken twnders, pulled prok, brisket, baked beans, okra and shotgun potato with pulled pork. I was blown away by the quality of food. We will be back!!

I came from pueblo and we cant find good bbq there but this place was pretty damm good. The 3 guys didnt catch their names but was really helpful and suggested the ribs for me.....the best damm ribs Ive had the meat jus fell from the bones if I could Id give 10 stars will be coming back

The service was great!! And the ribs were the best I have had in a VERY long time, the awesome. We did have an issue with missing item ,but was called by a very polite person and was assured it would be fixed next visit..And there will be a next visit..thank you

Military discount and awesome bbq. I was presently suprised by the side dishes. I got the baked beans and coleslaw and they were better than the protein. Id recommend this restraunt to anyone wanting to get a quick bbq fix.

I googled "best BBQ in Colorado Springs " and found this place. Google knows!!!! You absolutely must try the turkey- seriously, one of the most delicious meats you will ever eat! Plus the staff is just the best! Go, go, go!

Fantastic! We drove across town because of the lack of options for BBQ and this place delivered 100%. We had the brisket, turkey, sausage, fried okra and baked beans. Everything was out of this world and reasonably priced.

If I could give less stars I would. Had to tell my order 5 times. They still gave it to the people in front of me. The food was not good. Meat had no flavor. Sides were not even edible. Worst BBQ I have ever had.

We used Bird Dog to cater our wedding. I cannot give high enough praise. Everything was absolutely delicious. The buffet attendants were friendly and prompt. My favorite was the BBQ turkey...absolutely amazing!
