BY FAR THE WORSE EVER!!! THIS WASNT OUR FIRST TIME AT SKEETERS BUT IT WILL BE OUR LAST!!! I dont know if its the fact that its under new management of what, but Skeeters has gone SOUTH in the last year. Today I had the absolute WORSE experience that I think I have ever had in a resteraunt!!! Not only was the service slow, BUT once we got our food IT LOOKED LIKE PLASTIC!!! I had to have been setting for atleast a half an hour, cause it took an hour to get our food!!! The food was cold. The group of people that I went with ordered 4 different items!!! 1. Sliced Brisket (with mixed veggies, and mashed potatoes) the brisket was dry, the veggies were frozen and the mashed potatoes had a nasty old brown look to them. 2. Tex-Mex Burger. The bun was so hard it could have been used as a weapon!!! The cheese looked like it had been setting on top of the burger for hours!!! 3. Pulled pork sandwhich with cole slaw, which looked like it had been made days ago!!! 4. A BBQ chicken sandwich, BY FAR THE WORSE LOOKING OF THEM ALL!!! IT LOOK LIKE A DOGS RUBBER CHEW TOY!!! WE REFUSED TO EAT THE FOOD, AND HAVE IT REMADE, NOT ONLY THE WAITRESS TAKE THE FOOD BACK, BUT SHE STACKED THE PLATES ON TOP OF EACH OTHER!!! WE ASKED POLITLEY TO HAVE THE FOOD REMADE, AND WAITED 25 MINUTES TO GET THE SAME FOOD BACK!!! HOW DO I KNOW, CAUSE I MADE A WHOLE IN THE BOTTUM OF MY BUN, THE SERVERS AND COOKS DIDNT EVEN CHECK, SO WHEN I GOT MY FOOD BACK I WAS ABLE TO TELL THAT THEY DIDNT DO A THING. KEARNEY FOOD SERVICES WILL HEAR ABOUT THIS ON MONDAY!!!

Negative starts!!!! Im living in Kearney for 5yrs, this store was good, but not good anymore. In this 6months, we went there only 3times. First two times, we ordered BBQ-for-a-crowd. 1st time, they only give 1/4 pound of hand-sliced Brisket!(size should be half pound). Coz we always eat at theirs before, we know thats not enough!!! Meanwhile, Texas sausage was cold inside!!!! We thought that would be a mistake and they fixed, so we still believe in them. 2nd time was in October, they burnt the Rib, its bitter!!!!! The 3rd was yesterday, we had go-bad Ribeye Steak( its sour already) and 5oz Flatiron Steak(should be 8oz). The bread was hard as my boots!!!! I dont understand how that could happen to us every time we went there, maybe because they think were international people, we know nothing about steak??? We already give them 3chances, so I wont go anymore and I will tell my friends too.

Came in only three tables being used and we were told a 5 to 10 minute wait. So after waiting fifteen minutes we decided to take it togo. The pork was great. However the resturant was filthy. The vents we caked in dust and all the gunk build up on the floor. Took 45 min to get our food. We had already asked to have bread added to our order and was told our waitress would be notified. She came out with no bread after waiting for our food for 45 minutes. Our bread was rock hard, the garlic mash potatoes tasted like rotten dairy products,and the bbq pork loaded spuds were burnt, and my crutons were soggy on my salad. Terrible experience.

The food was great!! We are traveling cross country and have tried BBQ from all over the place. We ordered the Sampler with Pulled Pork/Brisket/St. Louis Ribs and Smoked Sausage. They brought it to the table in what reminded us of a trashcan lid - It was HUGE!! You also get 3 sides with it - There was so much food. The ribs f-e-l-l off the bone and the sausage was spicy but was delicious! They had sauce on the table to dip the meat it, but it was so great it didnt even need any sauce! I hope to go there again one day!!

Our family stopped in for dinner and we were VERY pleased!! My son, my husband and myself all got a Steak dinner! My husband and son got ribeyes and I got the flate iron! They were cooked perfect and the bake potatoes and mac n cheese were delicious!! ALL YOU CAN EAT SIDES!!! BTW!! The service was phenomenal from the time we walked in! Our server was on top of any and all our needs!! We would DEFINITELY recommend and if we will DEFINITELY come back if ever in town again!!!

Awful! Brisket not only tasted disgusting. But it also looked old and very very dry. My sons grilled cheese looked awful, they put the cheese on the hard part of the bun and his mac and cheese looked like rubber. I Got sent home with a ribeye and it wasnt very good either. The mushrooms tasted yummy though.I hate complaining but that was the worst meal Ive ever had and it wasnt worth $50.

The Kearney location is definitely lacking in quality of food. The slow smoked chicken sandwich was not smoked.. looked and tasted like a store bought rotisserie chicken with bbq sauce. And the pulled pork sandwich was greasy. The potato salad was not homemade, definitely generic store bought. The only good thing was the fries and bread. Really disappointed in the quality of food served.

Other than the beef...of course its Nebraska, so the ribeye was truly excellent. But otherwise, youre in for the bland, hospital-like side dishes (anemic steamed veggies, over cooked macaroni, etc) that middle-America restaurants are known for. Also, dont order the BBQ. Its too dry—save your BBQ experiences for east of the Mississippi!

The food here is top notch! If you like spicy, you will love their hot BBQ sauce. It is extremely hot, but not just for the sake of hot. It is unbelievable flavorful. The Skeeter Feeders are a great deal for groups (4+). You pick several meats and several sides and then they serve it family style. Fantastic!

I showed up an hour from closing and the service was good, friendly. I ordered the brisket and ribs combo naked. Paid 19 for 4 st Louis ribs and about half pound of brisket. Ribs were cooked well, next time I would order it with medium sauce. The brisket was a bit dry. Probably wont try BBQ again.

Mediocre food and terrible service at the bar by Brittany. We arrived around 8:45pm Mar 26 after viewing the cranes and were treated as an inconvenience. The only other bar patrons were a group of her friends and to request another side and a beer, we had to flag her down. Very disappointing.

Good food and accommodating staff. My wife and I shared a trash can lid of barbeque with our six year old and had plenty... the Skeeter Feeder. The happy mushrooms were a hit with them and I really liked the slaw with peanuts... yes, peanuts. Pork over brisket if youre trying to decide.

Had stopped at the restaurant years ago and remember it to have good food, however this experience was less than satisfying. The food was mediocre at best, meat was dry, sides were so so. One bright spot was service, very good. If I stop in the Kearney area again Ill try somewhere else.

The food was really good. I had the pulled brusque that gently shredded with my fork. The BBQ sauce was just spicy enough to add to the great flavor of the meat. I will definitely be back. Dont let the outside of the building throw you, the food is worth coming inside for!!
