We went to Village Cork for Valentines Day. Of course, it was $125 for a prix fixe menu, but whatever, it was Valentines Day. Then we discovered that for $125, you get to split a single appetizer, salad, pasta (a single dry ravioli) an entree, and a split of champagne. A little overpriced, and the advertising is a little misleading (i.e that you are splitting a single portion). Finally, the entree was advertised as filet mignon. I cant speak with absolute authority, but Ive never seen a filet mignon with a point on it. Seemed more like a sirloin to me. Look, I know restaurants have a hard time avoiding the the temptation to gouge on occassions like Valentines day, but I thought Village Cork went pretty far over the line. We have been to Village Cork several times before, and generally enjoy the atmosphere and service. But Ive definitely soured on the place based on this experience. A decent place to go for an occassional glass of wine, but I dont think we will be going back for dinner anytime soon.

I have taken my wife here for five years on Valentines Day but never again. I called and made a reservation weeks before Feb. 14 and found out this was the first time they were doing brunch; I thought this is a great idea! We were wrong. We showed up early in the day for our reservation and were stuck at the bar when plenty of actual tables were available. It wasnt too busy but the bartender was more concerned about making drinks for the entire restaurant before taking our order. We saw two other couples sit down, receive their food and leave before we got our food. My wifes biscuits and gravy were luke warm but at this point I just wanted to get out of there so no need to send it back. After speaking with the "manager, hostess and all of the above" lady at the front, it seemed none of my feedback was well received since another customer was waiting to be seated. Time to find a new Valentines tradition.

I have been to the Village Cork three times now and all times have been so disappointing. The wine and food is expensive and nothing special and the service has been horrible all 3 times. Tonight I ordered a $15 galss of wine that was very warm! I might accept that at a normal restaurant, but this place sells itself as a wine bar! We only ordered one glass of wine because the waiter never came back which is about the level of service I have had the two times before. Skip it and give your cash to a place that deserves it!

NEVER AGAIN! A great environment spoiled by frenzied service and tiny food portions only worth leaving on the DIRTY plate. I Tried the special last night: a cold, very small nest of top-ramenesque pasta tossed in burnt, oily parmesan residue with a rubbery, overcooked hard-fried egg on top - garnished with indistinct truffles shavings for $24. Seriously? Order your OVERPRICED hot wine well in advance, or youll have none with your meager meal. From this pretentious trap, I ran to the pizzeria...

We decided on the VC as a wine group and gave the chef a free hand at the appys to marry with the wine. They did a great job for 10 us who have a pretty good pallet as a group for food and vino. Service was great, atmosphere with soft amber lighting created a very comfortable setting. Nice place for a romantic evening with one or many. Not cheap, but for a special occasion, worth it. Chef made a post-wine appearance at our table for some mutual-admiration-society natter. Put it on your list!

we have been to the cork a couple of times and have enjoyed the atmosphere, service and food. We love the slightly European style small cafe decor and size and if you sit at the bar, you get to chat to the staff and get some great insights into the food and wines. I would recommend the cork for a small party (2-4)and if you are looking for an evening chatting over wine and good food.

I had such a fantastic time here! Not only did the owner pick out the best bottle of red wine I have ever had but she did it from a photo of the last one I had enjoyed. The other staff was friendly and so were the patrons who happened to sit near us at the bar. My friend and I shred the cheese plate and I would defiantly come for dinner some time. Defiantly stopping in again soon!

I have been a customer of the village cork for about 4 years and my favorite thing is how they keep evolving yet they keep that layed back relaxing attitude! The new chef is doing great things I had dinner there with a couple of friends and we were very suprised on the quality and flavors of each dish coming out of this tiny kitchen!

My wife and I have date night and decided to check out Village Cork based on a recommendation from a fellow wine lover. We couldnt have been more impressed with the attention to detail from the extensive wine list to the ingredients and display of our dinners. Thank you, VC. We will be back!

Nice wine list, as well as beer and cocktails. The atmosphere is very pleasant, as was the music. And the staff are all extremely nice and attentive. The renovations theyve done are awesome. Well definitely be frequenting this spot more!

Amazing cheese boards. We had cave aged cheddar and a slice of parsesean to pair with. Highly recommend just getting the entire bottle of wine to share with one of these boards.
