If I could rate this place any lower, I would. I visited Vine Street Pub on 3/7/14. Some friends were visiting from out of town for my birthday and we wanted to visit a place that reminded us of home. Were all Oregonians and I had just relocated from Oregon a month prior with my wife. Vine Street seemed perfect. We arrived, ordered our drinks at the bar, and subsequently presented our identification. Interestingly enough, the bartender seemed suspicious of my license. He stepped away for a moment and spoke with (who I assume was) the manager. They, without any discretion whatsoever, thumbed through the official "2013 I.D. Checking Guide - United States & Canada Edition". A few minutes later the manager approached us, book in hand, and made us aware that they didnt recognize the official new-address sticker (that Oregon issues to its natives upon change-of-address) and that they "reserve the right to refuse service" on that basis. After a brief exchange between the manager and I, I asked her what she was ACTUALLY saying by stating her right to refuse service. And it was simply that, she refused to serve us. I was shocked and angry, to say the least. We left promptly. And while I was angry, I did not become inflammatory or belligerent. I would normally understand such a policy. Im a reasonable person. A liquor license is very important and I commend the manager for being dutiful in protecting it; however, this was completely unreasonable. The 2013 guide they based their decision on is time sensitive, valid only in the year 2013. Its even says "time sensitive" on the cover of the guide. Its very possible theyve refused service to other would-be patrons since January 1st. Not only that, but the manager took no time to personally examine my drivers license. None. Had she taken her nose out of her book and given my I.D. a thorough examination, she would have found it satisfactory. It seemed as if she was prepared to refuse service to us before we eve had a chance to speak. I felt as if we were dismissed without the due respect new customers deserve. I will never return and will advise other out-of-towners, as well as Colorado natives, of their dubious methods of vetting patrons and I will do so until I leave Colorado.

Read a review online that it won the best wings in denver 2011 award so we where very excited to give it a shot. We walked from the city which was a nice walk. Really wasnt impressed with the wings. They where not crispy and where just OK. Same wings you will get anywhere else. Cant believe there is a company that doesnt take credit/debit cards. They do have an ATM so you can get cash out but there is an ATM fee. They also do not split the check for you. All the servers work in a team so you do not get a designated server. We sat for a while before being greated. I understand that everyone moves a little slower in Colorado as it is very laid back but it was a little rediculous. Needless to say, the other 3 in our 4 some will not be taking my restaraunt recomendations for a while. On the walk back there where many other places we wished we would have tried.

My husband and I love Vine Street! Great daily specials, awesome beer selection, best customer service of any restaurant I have been to. On one occasion there was a group of us wanting to eat outside. The wait was a little long and once we were sat it started raining. The bar brought FREE PITCHERS OF BEER to everyone on the patio! Customers choice. We were there again on a busy night and they bought us a round of drinks because we had to wait a long time for our food. If you are not a drinker they will be happy to buy appetizers. It can be a long wait on the weekends but the food is so excellent I would wait 2 hours to eat! They also have bean bag toss games outside while you wait. Really fun for the young crowd on a budget. Dont forget $1 Taco Thursdays!!!

We are in our 70s. For us it is nice walk from Franklin. Before because of no credit card policy did not use often. Now our Bank is across the street so just stop to get cash. They will accept checks however. Our service was promptand food has meet our expectations and we reward with about 20% cash tip.The burgers are tasty well prepared and yes beer is great. Be careful parking as Denver promotes housing with no parking. The traffic mafia is active and can ruin an enjoyable time. Hey maybe you want to help fund pay raises for city council. Happy hour starts at 2PM. This is definitely worth the effort just remember parking poor, cash preferred and the tax credit Denver City Council seems to give those who strike with bike or automobile walking citizens.

They only accept cash or check, youve been warned. This place gets five stars. Wait time, amazing, brewed beer selection, delicious and well crafted, service, they catered to very special requests due to surgery limitations and were very easy to work with. They also explained all tips are shared, so feel free to flag anyone down for a refill or request. The food, amazing and for the price it is the largest portion size that side of Colfax for quite a few blocks. They have an outside seating area which wont boast the best of views but the atmosphere inside is comfortable. Overall the service and food wins the stars.

These guys are the best. Hands down. They dont take credit cards. But if you go anywhere else youll pay more for the credit card convenience then you will for your food, the dollar atm fee at the brew-pub, and your banks fee for using an atm out of their system. The sweetest people and, get this, if you actually dont have a way to pay them, they will happily send you home on good will with the bill to mail back to them. There is no-one else in our generation that has such trust in the inherent goodness of people. They are changing the world, AND theyre brewing Dang Good Beer!

I have been going to the Mountain Sun, Southern Sun, and Vine St. for years now and every time I go I have a great experience. I had to write a negative review for another restaurant in Boulder which used to be chill, so I thought I better write a positive review too. With how popular this family of restaurants have become I am so impressed they have kept the same quality of food, beer, and service. Sure their restaurants are more crowded than they used to be, but they still always treat people with respect. That means so much. Keep up the good work yall!

Excellent service. Knowledgeable staff. Waiter gave great info on other pubs for our night on the town. We pretty much tried all there beer and really enjoyed(2 of us are home brewers and can be snobby). Had the steak sandwich and loved it. Fries were awesome. I guess they messed up batch to go with dinner but brought them out within few minutes and comped them...Nice. Definitely recommend this place to everybody. Kinda wish this was last place on our stop instead of first,,, hit about 7 other places and nothing compared.

I have been going here for quite some time now, it being the most lively brewery in my immediate area, and have yet to be disappointed with the quality of food. There Beer selection is quite extensive with ~20 beers on tap at any given time. I have found some of the waitresses a little lacking when probed deeply regarding the finer distinction between some of the beers. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for some place to take there friends for a night out with good food and drinks.
