$32.46. That was my total. I paid $32.46 for poor service and mediocre food. Food was ok but the pricing is extremely skewed. But customer service is horribly lacking. Upon walking in they allow me to seat myself, which is bad at least for this staff because it took 10mins for anyone to visit my table, and another 5 to receive an incomplete menu; be fore warned the entire menu is not available between 3-4 on the weekends, brunch transition. Once I made my menu selection, the waiter just happened to take my order as he walked past with another partys dishes in hand. I ordered the half bird ($14), the greens, green chili mac and Cole slaw (all $4 each) and a can of house Ale beer ($6) At the time I was not made aware by the waiter that the half bird had a spicy option, there was no inquiry at the time of placing my order, I only found out by visiting the website during my visit. I received my meal and the food was good, but nothing at all to praise, mediocre at best. At the end of my meal, it took 15mins to get the correct check to my table, I was charged twice for 1 beer. When I visited, there where approx. 8+ FOH team members working, young staff, with maybe 4 patrons at tables and 5 patrons at the bar. They have obviously not yet learned the importance of customer service, or how to personalize each individuals visit, multitask, or see to a patrons satisfaction. CONTRARY to the other reviews, the food is ok, people saying this is the best fried chicken ever havent had much good fried chicken then, and the overall experience does not entice me to return or advertise the business

Great Chicken and Sides. Friendly staff! I placed an online order for a Roasted Chopped Half Bird with Garlic and Herb Mojo and a Crispy Bone-In Fried Chicken served with House Pickles and Chorizo House Gravy. Both orders were fantastic with great flavor and tender juicy chicken. The side serving of Chorizo Gravy was a great addition to go with the Fried Chicken, which was very crispy with gluten-free breading and very well seasoned. I also got two sides, Green Chile Mac and Cheese and Slaw. I have an aversion to overly salted food, and I was very pleased that none of the food we had was overly salted. There was a little heat from the Chile Peppers in the Mac&Cheese, but just enough to compliment the cheese in the Shell Macaroni. Since the order was to go, the slaw was provided with the dressing on the side and the slaw had great flavor with mustard seeds in the dressing and chopped nuts with the chopped mixed greens. The building has housed a long list of restaurants starting with Mr. Steak, and hopefully The Post will have many successful years here!

Been there two times. Both times they were closed. Who opens a restaurant on Broadway and has limited hours. Rosedale isnt the country! Waiting for them to open for lunch daily. Finally got there when it opened Had the Fried Chicken and Waffles. The Waffles were fresh and awesome. Syrup was tasty. I was a little disappointed because the chicken was a breaded and fried chicken breast as opposed to two pieces of chicken like other places in town. Nice atmosphere and crowded. Also had the Apple Pie and Ice cream, both were delicious and were of decent portions as was the chicken and waffles. I have to return for the half a friend chicken at a later date to give a better review. I wish that they had lunch hours during the week, but I guess limited supply is better than no supply of fried chicken. I have returned for the half a fried chicken. It was good! Loved the breading and the fresh chicken. Is it the best in Denver, hard to say. Came with gravy on the side and pickles. A good sized bird with good flavor.

I went in for fried chicken and beer. Thats their claim to fame. The menu only has 1/2 chicken.... but the bartender told me theres an off menu 2 piece deal. Sold Ended up with a breast and wing. Perfect So, they arrive quick, like 15 minutes quick. And they are dark, some would say burned. No, they are not burned. The chicken is still juicy. The skin is fine and crispy. On both the wing and the breast. Sides for the 2 piece are extra, though they include a small amount of Chipotle gravy, and I chose the green chilli Mac n cheese. OMG. I want the green chilli recipe. This was great. The gravy was OK too, just didnt need it. I dont know how well it would work as take out or leftovers, fried foods dont seem to be good to me unless fresh, but at the bar it was great. Beer is the post beer, which is just fine. There is nothing anyone can complain about. Go and see for yourself. Incompatible with diets. Go on cheat day.

The chicken was tasty, especially the Nashville hot style, but I couldnt finish it all and asked for a box. They "misplaced" my leftovers and volunteered to make me some to take home. But instead of the half chicken breast and full thigh that I had, they just gave me a small thigh instead. Bummer. Also, who charges for every drink refill? I wish theyd warn you about this in advance because I wouldnt have said yes when they offered to refill my drink with 2/3 of the glass still full. Also, the dessert didnt taste very fresh, almost like store bought apple pie. Not what I was expecting. Like I said, the chicken is really good, but I dont think its worth it for the other missteps.

They need some work. Big potential. On my visit we had 40 minute wait at 7:00 on a Thursday, no complaints there because we got to enjoy a drink on the patio. The patio has huge potential with a good size and nice lighting/heating, the furniture really needs an upgrade. They were using bar stools as tables. Also, the waitstaff isnt allowed to serve outside. Hopefully that changes. We sat down and ate. Friendly server. The food is good. It came out way too quickly (less than 5 minutes). Definitely not worth the price tag. $14 for chicken and waffles on top of $7 beers can add up quickly. Probably wont go back as there are way better options for that price.

Yes!! So happy that this building is finally occupied by a restaurant that gets it. Stopped in on opening night with our neighbors. The wait went pretty quickly, with cocktails being delivered to where we were standing in the lobby. We had the chicken chicharonnes, regular fried chicken, Nashville hot chicken, Mac n cheese and collards. Everything was amazing!! Being from the south, I am super picky about my fried chicken and biscuits. This place knows what theyre doing. Throw in a great happy hour, super nice staff, killer music, locals discounts and extensive drink menu... were sold! Looking forward to a long relationship with this neighborhood gem.

The customer service was excellent. Our server/bartender greeted us and introduced himself by name with a handshake. He poured samples of their beers for me to taste and described each, all of which were great. I ordered the half bird and a biscuit. The chicken was juicy and the skin was incredible. Portion size was enough to get me full but not stuffed. The biscuit - along with the Apple butter - was very flavorful (I wish Id ordered more than one). The building was clean (along with the restrooms) and the decor fit the overall vibe of the place. Parking wasnt great, but we still found a spot to back in to. Overall, I highly recommend this place.
