This was by far the worst dining experience I have ever had in Denver. I would give 0 stars if i could. My friend and I went for brunch this weekend and it was the biggest mistake. The wait was absurd, an 1hr 15 min for two people. There were a crazy amount of people waiting to be seated, despite the fact that there were many open tables visible. The front of house staff were rude and unhelpful. When I asked them about our wait time they dismissively replied "youre 25 min into the hour and fifteen we told you". Ive worked as a hostess and a waitress. I dont care how your day is going, your job as front of house is to get everyone seated and kept as happy as possible. I then asked about the empty tables to be told that "they take turns seating people in different sections". Ok...that doesnt really answer my question though. And more to the point, even if thats usually the case, when youve over 30 people waiting an hour or more to be sat, you put them in open seats. Moreover, they seemed determined to follow the wait times given to people rather than expedite the process. For instance, they would call a few two-tops and no one would come up (having given up and left) and then they would consult their list and proceed to call a 6 top.... that 2-tops still empty... Then the food. Oh God, the food. Mediocre at best. I ordered the kitchen sink with a side of corned beef and hash. The biscuit was dense and hard to cut, the potatoes came out cold and they used egg poaching cups, ok so theres nothing technically wrong with egg poaching cups (they were done the right amount) but, seriously if all you do is breakfast (and youve an entire section of your menu dedicated to benedicts) you should be able to poach an egg without help. Our waiter didnt check on us once to see if my friend needed a refill of her coffee (she technically did, but didnt want it as it was terrible) or to refresh our waters or see if anything else was needed. Worst experience. Wont go back, I was so frustrated that I had to CREATE a yelp account, and search how to leave this review on google too.

Contrary to what another reviewer said, this food will not change your life. The setting and location are nice. The atmosphere is pretty hip. That said, it does not make up for lack of flavor and creativity. Our order consisted of crack bacon, the maryland crabcakes benedict and the corned beef hash benedict, a dish they say put them on the map. The crack bacon was very nice, strips of pepper bacon with syrup or brown sugar on it. Though it was the best part of the meal, its just sweetened pepper bacon, not a hard thing to create. The maryland crab cakes, by themselves were decent, but not spectacular or super flavorful, just kinda fishy. Served on top of smashed tater tots, that are literally the store bought frozen ones. Not homeade, not creative, just lukewarm unsalted tater tots. The corned beef hash left much to be desired. Shredded corned beef with minimal diced potatoes kinda thrown in, not an actual hash at all. To top it off i asked for my egg poached hard and it came nice and runny. They fixed it, but that doesnt really matter when faced with a total lack of creativity and flavor. Better breakfast can be found elsewhere, i assure you. They have some major work to do before i would consider returning.

1st time visiting the old le peep after its new residents moved in. I like what theyve done w the place, its very swanky... or over priced Hype ? I wish the quality of the food matched the price, amidst fine leather, wood ,lighting and high quality decor. Our bengiets were very greasy from the fryer, and instead of being tossed in powdered sugar , it was dumped on top of them and half sugar, half grease was the result. Our entrees were huge, no one could finish the giant portions , except my hungry daughter whos a growing teen that will eat whatever you place in front of her :) My out of town guests tried green Chile for the 1st time and were met with a Mexican oregano stew that I would prefer not to be A green chile representative. The eggs were all cooked perfectly, but their "smashed tots" miss the target.. id much rather have a plate of crispy tater tots vs greasy smashed ones thank u lol Good coffee btw. Overall Syrup is trying hard and the staff were very attentive and are doing a good job.

The system for calling people on the wait list is ridiculous. A girl walks around and quietly whispers names to a few waiting groups, and if you do not overhear her, you miss out. We waited a half hour while people that showed up after us were seated immediately. When we were seated, there were 10 empty tables. The average wait seemed to be 10 minutes but the girls were telling everyone it would be at least 45 minutes. This part of the restaurant needs to be addressed immediately. Also, the food was not at all up to par with other locations. Burned food on the same plate as under-cooked food. We live in the neighborhood and were excited to see this place open, but we may not even give it a second chance. Almost ruined our Sunday.

Customer service was terrible. Some of our food was good. Some was bad and some we had to wait considerably longer to get. The fruit was old and terrible looking. Brown pineapple, slimy melons. Waitress was rude especially about her mistakes which were presented to her politely so no need for rudeness. Manager seemed to be in too much of a hurry to listen to the issues. He did take a small amount off the bill but I felt like he didnt really care about what happened since he cut me off said he would take care of it and walked away. Ive been here before and had a wonderful experience. Hope this was just an off day. Cant say Im in a hurry to return.

Very disappointing breakfast. Its all about the chef. Tasteless, very thick, overbrowned, dry veggie omelet and buckwheat pancakes so thick and chewy they were hard to swallow. The worst was the old, brown, mushy apple slices served on top of the side salad! Leave them off if theyre not fresh! Someone should be watching how the food comes out of the kitchen. On site manager couldnt be bothered tho it was clear by our comment and by the food left on our plates that it was a very unsatisfactory meal. Too bad cuz its a roomy, bright and comfortable place in a great location with a great patio. Food is important too tho! Needs new chef.

First of all there was a wait when there are empty tables everywhere. After waiting 45 minutes our waitress immediately asks us what we want to order as soon as we sit down. None of us have been here before and we just opened our menus! We ordered our food later and we specifically said to bring the french toast as dessert. When our food comes the french toast immediately comes out with it as well! I ordered the Carolina Benedict with hash browns. It was not great at all. The pork was over cooked and my tater tots were soggy! My friends breakfast came out cold and the tater tots soggy as well. It was not a good experience at all!
