We showed up after a show from red rocks at around midnight 5/12/17. Waiter said he was all by himself and super busy. This guy had 4 tables before we sat down, they all left before we ate. One new table was sat while we waited and a group of three left before being served. In the over an hour our table of 7 was at this IHOP the kitchen and server were yelling at each other about all the orders coming from the kitchen. Cursing, yelling, arguing, tossing plates out the kitchen so they slammed on the counter. How completely uncomfortable for the whole restaurant. Our server seemed like an untrained manager that had never served before and was totally overwhelmed. He kept saying call him forest (cause he was running around so much) If you can handle up to 6 tables than you have no place in serving forest. Our food could hardly be considered hot or fresh. Which is not surprising since I saw most of it in the heating window for over 14 minutes! Since the kitchen and server were yelling at each other about the tickets not being ready. Even with all that everything came out missing things. Hash browns not crunchy and cold, eggs under done, sausage cold, biscuits and gravy cold, pancakes hard and no maple syrup offered. This was the worst breakfast Ive ever had at a IHOP and in the most uncomfortable setting. The server and kitchen staff continued to argue out side while having cigarettes out side. Than came in and our server did not even wash his hands before bringing food to the last table. When the server finally came back to our table he continued to complain about the kitchen staff, stating they were giving him a hard time and sure they going to get fired in the morning. Yes our food was TERRIBLE.. BUT so was his attitude and the way he communicated with us and them. (We could literary could hear EVERYTHING they said to each other, EVERY curse word) And to boot Ive had the worst diarrhea since I woke up from it this morning :( DONT EAT HERE! PLENTY OF OTHER PLACES NEAR BY THAT ARE OPEN LATE.

Only been here twice and I live two minutes from it. The first time I went then at around midnight. The server was really rude, and the waitress as well. The whole place was empty but one table and she decided to put our party right next to that table. The table was being loud, and the guy was mistreating the "lady" he had with him, also she was there because she probably got paid to be there if you know what I mean. The second time was two nights ago. After a long night of clubbing I came here for a milkshake at 230 am because steak n shake was closed. The lady at the counter said itd be 3.50ish for the milkshake. It came out quick, but when I paid her with a 20-dollar bill she handed me my change and practically kicked me out of there. When I got home, I noticed that she had only given me $11 back. No wonder she kicked me out as soon as she gave me my change. Never going back to this particular ihop. If you dont mind the drive. Go to the one off of Bowles and Long, however that one is not open 24/7.

Oh how I hate how much time I spend at this place. Ive been an almost regular for years. Theyve had their ups and downs. A couple years ago the manager got a promotion. Things havent been the same since. Theres been a ton of turn over. Most of the morning crew and weekend crew is the same. For me its the inconsistency. I can go for breakfast (and study time) and have wonderful food and service (except the eggs, they never get that right). Then I can show up in the afternoon or evening and everything is bad. One day I waited 15 minutes for service while the manager and 4 servers walked around me. That was two months ago and I havent been back since. I want to. Its within walking distance. At this point I feel like Ive given them 2 years of chances to get settled down and its just not worth it anymore.

So Ive never left a bad review because Im a waitress and I know the food industry is tuff but this IHOP was absolutely embarrassing. We were seated by a really nice hostess and then 15 minutes later decided to leave because the waiter kept walking past and ignoring us. No one even took our drink order. From what I could tell it was shift change time and the guy was just avoiding getting another table before his shift ended. We were going to keep waiting but then they started helping people who got there 10 minutes after us and continued to ignore we were even there. As a waitress I would be horrified and embarrassed to have a table walk out but these guys continued to ignore us as we walked right past them and left. This restaurant needs a serious attitude adjustment.

We usually come once weeks or twice week. The service is hit or miss its either great or horrible . like today its horrible the credit card machine is down its inconvienance now I have go pull money out. It slow and Im sitting here waiting and ready to GO ....... Well once again they screwed up my meals and then accused me of eating and walking out without paying when I litterly eat here every other day..so I paid the waitress and even tipped her. So now I get free comp meal due to all mistakes they made and what happens they over charge me for 1 and 2 they did t give me the right order Im so done with this place the managers a sweetheart she great but re at staff stand around talking and not learning the menu..poor poor.

We waited for 20 minutes to get seated and restaurant is not even half filled (3 tables filled with customers) and lady (waitress) comes and see us and tell we have to be patient to be seated and leaves. If you dont want to serve people then close it, dont keep it open and give bad experiences. We left that place and went to other IHOP in englewood and its completely opposite people here are pleasant, well received and served. Not all IHOPs are sick but this one on Sheridan is real bad.

Been to a lot of IHOPs. Odd combo, this one - best food and worst service. A simply tragic service experience front-to-back. Nobody up front takes their job seriously. Table hadnt been cleaned, waiter was awkward & vulgar, never saw him once after he brought coffee, then overcharged for the food. The food though ... it was the best quality chicken & waffles Ive ever had at any location, and the only reason this gets 2 stars. Cooks need a raise, the rest need replaced.

My daughter had an allergic reaction when she got home from lunch with grandma. We call and the manager dropped what he was doing to get us an ingredient list for everything she had; even what the eggs and sausage was cooked in. We greatly appreciate Nathaniels help and patience even though I was freaking out a little. Got her some benadryl and set an appointment to have her tested for allergens. Aleays great food and great service.

This isnt our usual IHOP but we were in the area and hungry so why not. It had taken a little while before someone noticed us but after sitting down the waitress was very nice when she was around. We didnt see too much of her. Eggs were runny and hashbrowns undercooked. Very disappointing. They were very busy when we had gone so perhaps that contributed to it. But we wont be visiting here anytime soon.
