Love the food, family atmosphere and service. Cesar was our server on Sunday evening (hail Cesar!) and did a great job of taking care of us from start to finish. He refilled our water and coke several times and gave me good advice on not over ordering. The homemade cheese sticks are delicious and 100 times better than anything from the store. The breading is fresh and mozzarella is so tasty. The marinara (also homemade) is flavorful and delicious. The Italian dinner salad is way better than a normal dinner salad as it has so many things on it including homemade bread sticks. The dressing (Im a sucker for their ranch) is the bomb (ask for it on the side so you can dip the bread in it). For my main entree I went with the baked ravioli. The portion is huge and it also comes with a piece of garlic bread (carb overload this time). The raviolis have a delicious filling of ricotta and not sure what else but it is fantastic. Even early on a Sunday evening (they open at 4:30pm) the restaurant fills up quickly. Some parking in lots to the north or on University.

There are signs that management doesnt care about the cleanliness of the restaurant anymore. Theres a layer of dirt on the floor. The black stuff along the edge of the floors in the bathrooms is disgusting and the tile walls are being ignored so whatever gets splashed on the walls never gets cleaned-off. The latest health department report reflects what I see. They dont understand proper storage of food in their cooler. They dont properly test their sanitizer. None of this is a joke. People can get sick. I worked in the food industry and this only reflects laziness and cutting corners. Ive loved this restaurant over the years. We went back since I first wrote this review. The place is still filthy. My entree was good, but they served a side of spaghetti with marinara and the noodles were really mushy. I cant remember ever being served spaghetti noodles that were like that. After 20 years of patronage, Im not going back. If the owner and management doesnt care about the restaurant, why should I?

The place is cute, but the food is sub-par. To start, the garlic bread was very disappointing. You can tell it was smeared in some type of butter substitute and then placed on the the grill to toast slightly. That was it. No parsley, no Parmesan cheese, just toasted bread with a hint of garlic. I hate to say this, but the sauce is horrible. It tasted like the tomato paste was poured straight from a tin can into a sauce pan with some garlic and warmed slightly. It didnt have any body...no substance...There were no Italian tastes like basil or oregano that usually accompanies a good sauce. If you want a good Italian fix, try an authentic restaurant. Unfortunately I havent found a good plate of Italian in this neighborhood yet that costs less than $10 a plate.

We live near the Saucy Noodle and have loved it for a number of years. We decided to hold our wedding rehearsal dinner there and it was AMAZING! Everything was set up when we arrived and then the food and wine just started coming out. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. The service was impeccable and friendly. Everyone had a wonderful time and told us time and again how great the food was! The Saucy Noodle didnt even charge us to rent the room for our guests. They are a classy joint and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good italian meal or a place to host an intimate party.

Went for lunch. We had the homemade linguine pasta and the spaghetti, both with the marinara sauce and meatball. The pasta tasted "wet" like it hadnt been drained completely, the marinera sauce and salad were above average, and the meatball was one of the best we have had. They claim the marinera sauce has a very strong garlic taste, but they could stand to use more. The service was a little slow for not being busy, but our server was friendly. We would perhaps return if we were in the area, but would probably only order a side of meatball and something maybe an appetizer.

I enjoyed a $7 meatball from the appetizer menu that was OUTSTANDING and filling. Melted cheese atop the ball and it was swimming in tasty red sauce. Wow. This thing is a crowd-pleaser. My hottie waitress, Leah, tells me the place has been open for 51 years. Cool. Retro red and white table cloths set the mood. I love it from end to end, but it needs a brand upgrade. My caprese salad was delish, but I had to ask for more Balsamic. Fuggedaboutit. Sinatra playing whilst I ate. Score! Beer and wine only.

Our first time there and it was delightful from when we walked in the door! Friendly, courteous greeting and wait staff, authentic delicious food in exceedingly generous proportions. I thought I loved the spicy marinara the best until I tried the house sauce! Dear friends had their first date there back in the 80s and was so tickled that we now appreciate this wonderful restaurant. The only thing wrong with this restaurant is it isnt in Henderson TX!

There are two gorgeous young men that work here. The bustier is cute but the dish washer is handsome and charming. I was eating some bread sticks and spilled my soda all over the floor. I did my best to clean it up as fast as I could but then came the very flattering bustier named Matthieu and helped clean up the mess that I made. He was super polite and brought me another soft drink right away. The food was over the top. Definitely 5/5

I used to be a chef and a restaurant manager, so Im very particular, when it comes to restaurants. This is one of my favorites. Every employee Ive met has been wonderful. All of their meals are very good, with large portions, their pizza is great, especially the Arrabiata (spicy) pizza. Its been a favorite restaurant of mine for about 10 years, and they are consistently good. Its how Italian should be.

Not good. Its also very expensive for the poor quality food. Pasta was mushy. Sauce tasted like cheap canned sauce, like ragu or something. Ravioli was definitely cheap and from frozen. Meatball was really dry. If the food was cheap I would love it but,,, its not. Reminds me of having spaghetti made by my Chinese friends Grandma... Im not sure why there are so many good reviews.

1st time customers. Great service from Theresa. Had a small chat with Erin, the manager. Delightful. Generous plates of food. Definitely more for one more dinner to take home. My husband and I had the dinner for two sampler. It was only $21 for 2. Great bargain. Next time we will try the pizza. Everyone raves about it. Telling friends and family to make a visit.

First, our waitress brought out the wrong appetizer. There was a lot of lag time in between courses, at one point our waitress asked if we even received our food yet, shouldnt she know. The food wasnt anything to rave about, the caesar salad was bland and my chicken was really dry. I probably wont be back.

Delicious foods and plenty of options for gluten-intolerant patrons as well. I never feel like I am missing out here. There is a dish here, I believe called the Theresa, which is out of this world. Sausage, spicy arrabiata sauce, and goat cheese over delicious polenta. Simply amazing.
