FLAVOR! A hint of heat and subtle blendings of flavors instead of the totally tasteless bland pap they serve at the overrated Little India restaurants. Indian buffets in Colorado are usually the most generic and dumbed-down foods for the parochial denverite palate. Not this one! Oh my, but they offer great variety and a range of tastes for the more cosmopolitan diner. Really good food at a very modest price. An incredibly tasty lunch for two for under $25 including ice tea and dessert? Not a fancy location, but there is adequate room for a disabled person to move in, and great parking. I appreciate not having to hobble an extra 50 yards to get to the front door. They have some non-standard offerings like sweet potato masala and banana pakora that offset the spicier offerings. I thought the vegetarian dishes were a shade hotter than the meat dishes. I prefer the heat of the vegetarian dishes....not a vindaloo, which is an acquired taste, but a slight bite that didnt overpower the subtle flavor blendings. Really liked their Veggie korma and the Naan brought hot to the table was soft, not dry and overdone like the burnt offerings I got at Clay Oven in Littleton. I used to have to drive to Yak and Yeti to get the sweet potato masala, but now I have a tastier option at half the price! Very well priced meal and worth much more. Full service bar makes this place a great date spot. The atmosphere is quiet, with cloth muffling sounds, so dinner conversations are possible. Only recommendation Id make is for short people like me to sit at a table instead of a booth otherwise youll end up sinking too low to eat over your plate. (when you cant lean over your plate, the dribbles run down your clothes instead, and masala stains are the worst)

So as a native to Colorado, i have to travel throughout the state for business. I love to cook and am somewhat decent at it lol. However when i am in travel mode, i try to enjoy my travels with the food that is in the surrounding areas. Again with my travels all over the fantastic state that i call home, when i arrive in a city i do not know...i order in. The events tonight were disgusting, rancid meat, cold food all around...as in every dish, fried shrimp that is wet and soft. I dislike that i have to do this as in i do not often or ever..this tonight left a very sour taste in my pallet. I will never or ever suggest this restaurant to any one i like or dislike. Oh and they were an hour late of delivery (had to call twice) just to make sure they were coming with the food. As an add on, delivery person.. literally tossed the food bag at me wtf

This is the restaurant we went to for our first Indian meal. Since then, we took a road trip this summer around the country and have dined at many other Indian restaurants. I like to get Gulab Jamun for dessert and this place has the best one! Whenever we order off the menu, the portions are copious! We have also tried some places here in Denver and we all agree that this is the best Indian restaurant around. Now we come here twice a week when cravings arise for a carnival of spices in your mouth. The service is constantly great, there are always people at other tables which is a sign of a good restaurant. They have a good buffet, with two types of rice. The saffron rice is awesome and both rice varieties are always so fresh. We have been here a dozen times in the last several months and are going tonight!

A friend introduced me to this place a few months ago. I love the diversity of foods on the buffet. The sweet potato masala really suprized me, it had great flavors. The sweet carrot dish was also a suprizing treat. Of course I live on the other side of town, but I was near there today and decided to get a to-go buffet. Im usually disappointed at take out buffets because they just give you the one box for the same price as you would normally get two plates of food. But I got a box plus two lidded little cups for extra. We had so much food that we are having the leftovers for dinner. And the Naan is wonderful. Unlike other places, with the takeout they give you naan on the side, instead of you trying to squeeze it into the box. I highly recommend India Oven for a decently priced Indian buffet.

I have been to India more than 15 times. I have eaten in more Indian Restaurants than I can remember. This one is the Real Deal. I dont much care for the presentation - but THE FOOD is excellent. I have eaten at The India Oven more than 20 times and have NEVER had a bad experience. I agree with the former reviewer about feeling like family when warmly greeted. As to the basic white rice spoken of by another reviewer, they do not know what theyre talking about. The only rice served is a choice of Basmati or Saffron rice. They even offer both choices on their delicious and bountiful lunch buffet. The only thing I would change is how the food is presented - other than that - your taste buds will have a wonderful experience! Enjoy and Namaste!

Indian Oven is the best Indian restaurant in Denver Period! Ive been to countless other Indian restaurants and they just dont come close. Ive been to Indian Oven 30+ times and brought tons of friends and family, not one person ever remotely disappointed.. The food is so filling and the price is totally right! Friendly service every time. Great vegetarian options also. The only down fall of Indian Oven is the fact its so hard to see... Its a very low key building right by the Sun Flower Market.. I saw reviews earlier that said they saw insects on there way to the bathroom.... Ive never seen a single bug my whole time being here. Maybe they had a few bugs a few years ago in the last year and half Ive never seen a single insect at all..

The food is only so-so, but what killed it for me were the bugs that crawled onto the table!!!! They were the gross kind of bugs that only show up in really dirty places (this website will not allow me to publish the name of these bugs in my review). Worst of all, when we brought the bugs to the attention of the waiters, they were unconcerned, as in "yeah, we see those all the time, so??" I reported the restaurant to the proper authorities, and they told me the infestation was so bad that they almost closed the place down!!! DONT EAT HERE!!! Bugs!!! Dirty!!! Food not worth the gag-factor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There was an horrible experience on last saturday (09/20) night buffet. The food was poor quality, specially Daal and Saag Paneer. Daal was under cooked and Saag Paneer tasted stale. When we complained about the poor quality of food, the lady attendant replied rudely that we can take another dish if Daal is undercooked. At the time of payment, we again reminded her about poor food quality, she bluntly replied - "Do whatever you want, I dont care". If this kind of blunt response customers get, who will go there again!!! Simply it was not worth of $14.99 along with a RUDE behavior.
