Wow. Lets just say I did not expect much from Chicken Hut. The primary draw for me was their great value meal - $12 for 8 pieces of chicken and a couple of sides. I went in looking for value for money and got more than I expected. I did not dine in, even though there were some seats, but the decor was rather dated and it just did not appeal to me. For those of you who like to watch people while youre eating chicken, and vice versa, people watching you while you eat chicken, this might be a good place because Chicken Hut has lots of big windows and its right at a busy junction. On to the chicken then, the star of the show. It was awesome. Every bite was juicy, full of flavor, the meat was tender and the skin was grilled to a slight char which you could taste. One of the top few chicken dishes I have eaten by far. I had meant to save some for the next meal but once I started, I simply wanted more and more. However, I managed to reluctantly restrain myself, so that I could have this wonderful chicken for another meal. The sides were okay, nothing fantastic but they werent bad either. For the price, Chicken Hut is pretty hard to beat in terms of value for money and taste. Try it, you wont regret it.

I love supporting this local, long standing business and feel guilty whenever I go to Chipotle across the street :) the guys behind the counter are all friendly and didnt charge me for an extra salsa the first time I went - that attitude + great chicken = loyal customer

As a disclaimer, I have not been in the restaurant yet, as my friend brought home food from here. That being said, the food was very good - the chicken was deliciously cooked and seasoned, and the salsa that was included was a nice touch. You also get some pita, which was tasty. The mashed potatoes were just OK.

During the year 1993, I used to travel for a living and was home about one week per month. When I was home, I ate at Chicken Hut every day. Literally, every day. Andy and crew were top notch and I still recommend my friends to this place if theyre ever in Chicago and need a great place to get lunch on the go.

This is my go-to joint for a cheap dinner. They have great specials for quarter, half, and full chickens. The mashed potatoes are delicious and they have normal soft drinks. The service time is extremely short so you can drop by and be gone within a few minutes.

Chicken Hut is an inconspicuous little restaurant that serves a basic menu of chicken and some side dishes, and the chicken is delicious!!! Very savory chicken, potato salad and pita bread. Good spot and the price is just right.

If you like chicken you will love this place. If you want fried chicken this is not the place for you. But the roasted chicken will make you forget you ever wanted fried chicken. It is excellent, reasonable and super quick.

The best Chicken in the USA, been coming here since 1992 and believe me, it doesnt get old, this is by far my favorite place for grill chicken, thank you to the employees for being so nice and friendly.
