I was so excited to try this place after reading all the five star reviews. I have been a big fan of Indian food for several years, and Chicken Tikka Marsala with rice and naan is a go-to for me. First, their menu was pricey. The Chicken Tikka Marsala was ~$16. Thats more than any other Indian restaurant I have been to. I ordered a tea, and after waiting about 10 minutes, I asked the server. He said, "Its making." About 5 minutes later, he brings me a cup of hot water and a Lipton tea bag. I figured they would have had something classier than Lipton, and it obviously wasnt "making." He likely forgot. I also ordered 2 garlic naan and 2 regular naan. Little did I know, their naan is massive. I would have been fine ordering one of each. They did come by and confirm my order, but a heads up would have been nice. This would normally be a good thing, but the server should have been able to tell that I was one person, and that I likely would not need 4 naan. This may sound picky to some, but its part of what a server is supposed to do. I know from experience. Finally, the food was delicious, and I have leftovers for breakfast (dont judge me.) Of course, for the $30 I paid for the whole meal..as one person...I expected it to be good. The food was good, the service was disappointing and the prices are outrageous. Thats what you will get at Little Nepal. I may go back and try the buffet, which is only available on Thursday nights. This might make the experience a little different, in a good way.

UPDATE: I gave this location 4 stars before. You can see that review below. Lately the quality of the food here has greatly improved to nearly that of the other location. Ive seen staff from the other location here lately so maybe theyve been working on improving the quality. Regardless, much appreciated! I still prefer the 8th street location though because it seems like the food there is more perfected. But I have no complaints with the food here anymore. ------------------------------------- I gave their other location 5 stars because the food is always awesome there. Here, it is always inconsistent but its still pretty good but Id rather drive an extra 25 min for the 8th street location. The chicken tikka masala here had a slight off taste, maybe too much butter or oil. The other location does it right. Full of flavor and spiced just right. The alu muttar (my favorite dish): the potatoes were slightly undercooked. They were also very big so they had to be cut up to eat. Those two dishes were still good enough to enjoy but the chicken curry unfortunately did not taste good. The chicken was tough, maybe over cooked. The sauce was very watery and underspiced. Otherwise though, this is a nice family owned restaurant with a good atmosphere and a buffet priced just right and I will come here again when time doesnt allow driving to the other location.

Little Nepal has great food, but what they lack is a homogeneous experience. Every time I order here, I receive a different experience with the same menu items each time. Some days, a soup will be brothy, other times creamy. Some days the pakora will be festively curry-flavored, other days it will taste like pickled vegetables. I cant rely on anything tasting the way I ordered it last time. Its usually still good, but other times it makes for a highly disappointing experience given that their prices are not inexpensive. They need to create fixed recipes for their menu items, so that their cooks can follow them and replicate them time and time again. Until then, its a mystery what youre going to get, and thats not necessarily what you want at a restaurant.

Stay Away! The food here is mixed with artificial colors. We ordered an item called Paneer Makhni, which was bright red in color, supposedly not the natural color of that dish. It tasted yuk and My hand stayed red for 2 days thanks to the red dye. Mango lassi, a beverage that our Indian friends had recommended was again filled with artificial color that nowhere resembled natural mango color. Naan bread was hard and unchewable. Other entrees were filled with oil and unhealthy to the core. For six people (3 of them kids), with no alcohol or any special items, the dinner costed a fortune $140.

I will give this hotel 1 star because they charged as $20 tip without asking me and when i gave me cast tip he didnt even tell me that he already charged me $20 tip on my bill. They cant do that they can not charge me without asking me. They have the worst service and stuff is cheating us. Be sure to try this place out! My fiance and I have been a big fan of the Little Nepal restaurant located on 8th street. So we were excited to see this location open up on the north end of town. IF you like the 8th St. location, you can expect the same great experience on Flintridge. - Owner/servers are very friendly and attentive - Its a tad on the expensive side BUT the servings are large and the quality of the food is top notch - Personally, if youre new to Indian food, you gotta try the Lamb Rogan josh (you might want to start with a low heat option) Enjoy!

Came for the lunch buffet service after reading the good reviews. The buffet is very limited, and the food does not look fresh. Selection is very limited, and everything is mild. The server said they dont serve anything spicy on the buffet. It would have been nice if they would have been accommodating enough to prepare something. The buffet seems to be designed to suit on type of clientele. As far as sanitation goes, sauces and fruit are in the ice tray, and no attempt is made to clean it up. Will not eat here again.

Ive come here a few times. In general it just doesnt seem quite up to par with their other location. Food is okay but lackluster in comparison to the 8th street location (the 8th street location is my favorite restaurant OF ALL TIME). The service is really where the other location shines through. The owner and waiters/waitresses really seem to go out of their way to make sure you have a very special experience at the South location; At this location Im lucky if they refill my water regularly.

We were stuck in a snow storm in Colorado Springs and we decided to order from Little Nepal. Initially they were reluctant to deliver given the conditions but then they happily agreed. In spite of the worst weather conditions, they delivered the food at our hotel. 10/10 for the delivery service and the friendly staff. The food was great. We ordered the vegetable biryani and some paneer makhani. Both the dishes were really good. 10/10 for the food too. I highly recommend this place.

I love every Indian/Nepalese buffet restaurant, but this one has the best dessert options (and is also the closest to my house). Ten dollar lunch buffet? Ten dollar lunch buffet delivery on a weekend? Yes please. As expected, they have four vegetarian options in their buffet, a few options with chicken, samosa, and the best part: fried banana and dessert carrot pudding. If youre into India food and an inexpensive lunch, come here for a meal stuffed with delicious herbs and spices.
