One of the worst indian restaurants, disgraceful benghan bartha, cardboard, once frozen naan. GO TO TAJ MAHAL LOUISVILLE INSTEAD. Benghan Looked and tasted like oily runny kofta curry and didnt seem like eggplant was baked or tandoorid. I ordered 10 spice and an employee said she tasted my batch and it wasnt spicy at all and suggested i add chili which just made it all taste like spicy garbage chilli juice. It took 45 minutes and honestly seemed like a buffet batch. The manager even mentioned while I was waiting that I should let them know if I had any issues, and when I called I was told the manager would return my call when shes in which she still hasnt. My number is 1800-LOL-IM NEVER COMING BACK. Dont know if the positive reviews are bots, fake accounts, friends, or people who dont know good indian food, but Ill tell you, everything down to the lack of ac in the place was a below mediocre experience. I dont usually try to deter people from trying a new place, but let me be blunt, you reallllllllllllly shouldnt eat here if you want to enjoy your food and dining experience.

Right now I am eating the dinner buffet on a Friday night. The food is very bland for Indian. Those who have rated this place with high marks probably never ate much Indian food and more than likely never ate Indian much outside of Colorado. Considering that most those in the back kitchen cooking are of hispanic. Along with the very bland cuisine was poor service. There was no greeting from the waitstaff. As for the atmosphere, it didnt sound good to listen to Lady Gaga from the kitchen mixed with the music playing in the dining area. Definitely not worth it. Im certainly passing the rock hard jerkyfied piece of fish on my plate.

We go to Taj often because its close to where we live. The food is good: not too many choices but what they do offer tastes good and fresh. The sauces are superb! They also offer decaf Chai, which is still missing in Tandoori Grill. Kids at 5 or under can eat for free. The down side is the service is not quite up to the standard. In several occasions, we had to ask for Nan at least twice. And the waiter/waitresses are often not too friendly, to put it mildly. Bottom liine: its a good place to take your family to for a casual dinner, but probably not a place to impress your friends with!

My friends were loading their plates at the buffet when the waitress informed me that the only thing in the restaurant that I could eat was was the rice. EVERYTHING is cooked with soy oil! As many of us know, most soy in the US is genetically modified (not good for anyone), and I am very allergic to soy. Therefore, while I watched my friends eat pretty good food, I chowed down on very average tasting rice. There was no one in the kitchen who could/would cook something to order for me. Very unsatisfying dining experience!

This was the WORST Indian food I have ever had-the dishes were watery and completely underseasoned. My dish actually looked like vomit-the sauce had seperated and the kofta was super sweet. We got there late at night and it was obvious our server just wanted us to go through the buffet line, and when we chose not to do that she got kind of pissy. When we complained about the food she asked if we wanted her to "just add some spices"- guarantee that would not have solved my problem!

I go for the lunch buffet as it offers me the greatest chance to try lots of things, and to eat until im about to burst sometimes. Very tasty, though theres a very strong reliance on chicken dishes. Chicken this, that chicken, etc. Id love to see more vegetarian options, even some vegan things. But, for the price point, I really enjoy long long lunches with some chai and staring at the flatirons. Any real complaints would be first world problems stuff. Enjoy. Recommended.

Definitely one of the best Indian food restaurants I have ever eaten. Im a huge fan of Indian food and have gone plenty of different restaurants especially in Colorado. Safe to say that this is my go-to restaurant and has been for the last seven years. The staff all recognize me by this point and they never disappoint. Definitely worth a try and its in a super convenient location in Boulder (right next to the CU campus) with a Whole Foods right next to it.

The lunch buffet is by far my favorite! There is almost never a wait for seating and the staff are attentive but dont hover. The food speaks for itself and is very tasty. Its not everyday Indian food, but certainly something you might see at a wedding or celebration, so naturally its delicious. Although the food will fill you up, dont forget the drinks! Tha mango lassi and Chai pair wonderfully with the food. If you have room for dessert, you wont regret it!!

Food is excellent. Service is fine. BUT choose when you go wisely; during busy times, when the food runs out at the buffet, you may find yourself with very few options while you are there; their buffet rotation is a little disorganized, so you may find yourself waiting an hour for buffet items once they run out, if not longer. All the same, it is worth the wait if you have time for that. Otherwise, go at less peak times.

We have eaten at this restaurant almost weekly for over a decade. The food is delicious (occasionally extraordinary) and offers a good variety of vegetarian, non-vegetarian and even gluten-free dishes. We find the service friendly. It is buffet style. I dont know what the other reviewers are complaining about. The price for an all-you-can-eat lunch is extremely reasonable.

This is one of my favorite Indian restaurants! The people here are so so kind. We had a big group come in and the owner made sure everything was ok. Anytime we needed something she was quickly on it. Shes so kind. The food is absolutely delicious!! Seriously. The mango lassi here is also delicious. We had mango pudding there too, that was way too good.

The food and service here is mediocre and comes at a high price. The fact that both lunch and dinner are buffets means that you are always going to be getting food that has been sitting out under warming lights. Despite the fact that the food is not as good and will never be fresh, this place is priced higher than other Indian restaurants in Boulder.

The food is so wonderful and all the ingredients are so fresh! Many gluten free and vegetarian/vegan options. Their chai is some of the best around too. Such a spectacular atmosphere. The owners are amazing people that take great pride in making it one of the best Indian restaurants around; certainly that Ive been to in the Denver area.

I travel all over the country for my job. That said Ive sampled a lot of Indian restaurants. This place is one of the best, if not the very best, Ive found. Their food is top notch, lots of flavor and spicy as you want. I eat lot of hot food and a curry chef has to work to make something I consider hot. Their chef always nails it.
