After two disappointing experiences at this restaurant, I sent the following email to Biryani Pot. I received no response after 3 weeks. So Im posting it here. Wont be going back to this place: Dear Biryani Pot, I have eaten at your 38th Ave location in Denver twice now. The first time, it was allegedly right after you opened. The waitress/manager explained many times that this was a new kitchen, they were still ordering ingredients, new chef, etc. She also made sure to tell us that the previous restaurant used powdered curries and other sub-par ingredients, even though we did not ask about that at all. Upon ordering, it took me 3 attempts to find a wine on the wine list that was actually available. I came with my boyfriend and our food came out at totally separate times. He finished his meal before mine even arrived. Again it was explained that this was a total re-organizing of the kitchen, new chef, etc. Even with the wine issue and the bigger issue of the food coming out totally separately, we were charged full price for our meal. We decided to give it another try tonight, hoping the kitchen issues were ironed out. When we walked in, the first thing we heard was the same waitress/manager explaining to customers how there was a new chef and things were taking a bit longer tonight. This time, I did not even try to order wine. Instead my boyfriend ordered an appetizer and I ordered a meal-- actually the same dish I ordered last time, the House Special Goat Curry. Once again, the meals came out at completely separate times. Granted, he did order an appetizer as his entree, but most competent wait staff recognize that if that is all he ordered, he is intending for that to be his full meal. Or they will at least ask if that is the intention. He once again finished before I even got my meal, so I asked for the curry to-go, as I was tired of being there. Once again, we were charged full price for our meals. When I got home to eat my curry, there were about 3 pieces of edible goat, and they were extremely overcooked. Most of the other pieces were simply bones with fat and marrow on them. Your food is good for the most part. However, this is a neighborhood restaurant where we expect friendly, reasonable service. Not the same excuses for the past 2-3 weeks, the same issues, and no consideration for perhaps discounting us for the disappointing experience. Although I live less than a mile away, and love Indian food, I regret that I wont be inclined to visit your restaurant again. Thank you for your time.

So, we came here for date and this is why I would never go back. 1. The food was great, but the service was Terrible. 2. It took Forever for them to give us a menu to order. 3. We had to get up, go to the empty bar space, and fill our own water glasses because the server seemed like he was high on something. 4. We waited 40 mins for our food. Not an exaggeration. 5. The server couldnt remember what we ordered when it came time for the bill. 6. We had to get up and find and server to ask for silverware. 7. There were Indian people beside us who were treated much better than us 8. I felt like I was being treated poorly just because Im white. This is the worst review I have ever left for a restaurant in my life. Go pick up your food to-go and you might enjoy your experience.

The food is incredible here. Ive not had Indian food like this at other restaurants in town, and there are some other delicious restaurants to be found. There are many dishes Ive never seen on menus around town though, and you should run towards those dishes! The service was very friendly. They are still a pretty new restaurant and there are still some issues with availability of items that are on the menu. In particular, my partner and I shared a chai because there was only one available, and there were also no ThumsUp - a soda listed as an option on the menu. Even so, the food was so awesome that we will definitely be back!

Waited almost two hours before calling them to see where my delivery order was. Phone rang and rang. After 5 attempt I finally got through. Was informed that my order was ready 20 minutes ago but I needed to wait another 15 minutes for another order to be delivered with mine. As it stands it will be 3 hours between ordering and delivery. Im cooking something else and hope this makes good leftover lunches. Update: arrived just under 3 hours. The CTM was over cooked and there was big pieces of bone in the goat. What made up for it was the biryani which was amazing. Might try again after they work out the kinks.

My husband and I came here for our date night. My aunt had suggested that we go to this restaurant. The food was wonderful and the staff was very friendly. They took time to talk to us about the food and life in general. Our waiter was very kind; sometimes he had a hard time understanding us. I have been to several Indian restaurants before and have learned that service may not always be fast. Indian food can take a long time to make. I would not come here if you are in a hurry. If you have time and want to relax this is the place to come.

Happen to drive by on the way to Pepsi Center. It was about 5pm on a Saturday and no other cars. Took a chance. Ordered vegetable biryani and asked for mild. I have had at other restaurants and enjoyed. It was a generous portion. I ate about 1/4 and my mouth was on fire. The cook continued to peek at me through kitchen window. Sent rest back because it was too hot to eat again. My partner ordered something else and mostly ate the rice. No one else came in while we were there. There were two take out orders only. We will not be back.

I ordered the goat saag with garlic basil naan through grubhub. They sent a different goat dish and though the sauce was tasty, the meat was absolutely awful. I couldnt eat over half of the meal because of the bones (there was one shard that was so thin and sharp that it almost cut my mouth!) I spent more time spitting out the food than eating it. I highly suggest to this restaurant to take goat off of your menu, just, please.

New favorite Indian restaurant, hands down. Unpretentious, maybe a little noisy, its all about the food here. Ive never been to India, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. I can tell you that this place offers scratch-made standard items with such perfectly balanced combinations of freshly ground herbs and spices that itll take all of your restraint to keep you from doing a double-dinner bang bang.

I love Indian food buy was very disappointed with B.Pot. The dahl had a totally burn, schored flavor. I cant believe they served it after burning it. The rest of our order was just okay .We ordered take-out and the portions are very small. I thought I had finally found a place in my area to eat a few times a week simce I dont cook but ....still on the lookout.
