Came here based on great reviews, but really had a pretty bad experience. Service was... I think "bizarre" would be the right word. The waitress was not friendly at all and seemed to generally ignore the existence of our almost 4 year old son (when we asked for plates she brought 2 instead of 3, same with silverware). We had three dishes, a chicken curry bowl, an egg noodle dish with broccoli, and chicken satay. The curry was very good, but the noodle dish had a really foul flavor and the satay, while having a good tasting marinade, was riddled with large chunks of fat and gristle. I cook quite a bit but Ive never encountered chicken with this much fat in it. Definitely didnt give me great confidence in the quality of the meat. Prices are a little high for what you get - every entree will cost around $11. Bathrooms are... unpleasant to be in, but thats more of an issue of age than maintenance. Waitress tried to push all customers into paying cash and then seemed frustrated with them when they relayed that its no longer 1985 and no one carries cash anymore. Would have been a 1 star review, but the curry bumped it up to a 2.

So sad to see Suvipa go the way of so many authentic Thai restaurants in Denver. Just returned from a big let-down lunch with their "new" menu. Gone are the true Thai eggplants that graced their green curry. Gone is the tofu in their classic pad Thai. Gone are the single $ prices-papaya salad for $12.00! Whats new about the menu is the same old boring Thai food that you can get anywhere in Denver. Its such a let down to see earnest owners ruin their food because of ignoramuses complaining that their food isnt bland enough or that their food isnt as much like all the other "Thai-nese" (pan-Asian fodder) places in Denver. The cook/owner told me I could request authentic menu items, but it just isnt the same. Before, I knew I could expect aromatic herbs, chilies, and authentic ingredients. Now its bland over-coconut milky curries with inauthentic food items. Thai Monkey Club will be seeing me again after all.

No doubt the food is authentic, delicious, and reasonably priced based on serving size, but whats really confusing is the "CHILDREN UNDER 5 YEARS OLD EAT FREE." While ordering, the lady server doesnt seem to pick up (because of the language barrier) when we tried to clarify about this. So anyway we went ahead and ordered nuggets and fries which is under the kids meal. She said they ran out of nuggets so okay, just the fries then. By the time we went to the counter and went over the bill I asked her why the fries arent free when I pointed out on the menu cover that kids eat free. She said its only "fried rice" thats free. She also charged me full price for the fries when the nuggets should be included. My son is 1-year-old and I dont expect him to eat fried rice and its not even on the kids menu. This bothers me and my husband until this day.

Tiny place, good reviews...we were expecting a really great hidden gem. Unfortunately, the service was terrible and the food was only mediocre. At first when we were one of only two tables the wait staff was very attentive, but as more people came in and the place filled up they seemed to forget about us or get too busy to handle the approximately ten tables and several take-out orders. We asked for water repeatedly (necessary for the super-spicy food) and finally my girlfriend walked over to the counter and took a pitcher because we were getting desperate. My friend ordered an iced tea that never showed, we had to take silverware from another table after they kept forgetting to bring it, and my soup had many inedible pieces like big chunks of ginger and lemongrass that I had to keep removing. The hunt for a good Denver Thai place continues.

I ate at Suvipa with a friend and we each ordered something different. We shared the crispy fish with peppers and the chicken with crispy basil and wide noodles. The flavors were excellent with just the right amount of heat , medium, in both cases. The fish comes whole, as I believe it should, but be prepared if you are not used to that sort of thing. The chicken dish was every bit as good as the one that I had in Bangkok. Fresh ingredients and a chef that has definitely been cooking Thai food for a long time is a great combination. The service was prompt and attentive.

I came here expecting to find what others said via review and didnt have the same experience. There were 3 tables and it took 30 minutes to get a menu. Then waiting another 30 for chicken app. Then my gf dinner came but not mine. Waited another 10 minutes. The food was quite good but I wasnt impressed with the wait time. We also witnessed 3 people come in, order 20 minutes after us and get their food 30 minutes before us. Not a good way to attract new customers.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. Its a hole in the wall with atrociously bright overhead lighting, but the food: SHAZZAM! It is cooked with care and precision, with ample portion sizes and explosive flavor! Beyond what Id expect for the money I paid. I will go back, and I hope others will keep them in business too! Wear sunglasses and enjoy the food. Im stuffed beyond capacity and still considering seconds.

Not worth it. Ive had great Thai food and this is not it. Please dont waste your money. The food was not worth it and disappointed, I expected at least fairly good. This was a last minute thing. So i went off the reviews, yeah they were wrong. They over charge for things that really should come with the meal and taste of food blah. No real taste or spice. Wont return! One of the worst Thai Ive tasted.

I lived in Thailand for 21 years. Denver has many "Thai" restaurants, they are all terrible. Dont tell me about this one or that one. I have tried them. SUVIPA is the only restaurant in Denver that serves actual Thai food and it is great. I hope they can get a strong following so they dont have to add crappy Chinese dishes to their menu. Good Luck (chok dee) Suvipa.

This is great Thai food! Very authentic flavors, and they arent afraid to use Thai heat levels with their hot peppers and chilis. But they can also tone it down if you want. I really enjoyed the Tom Kha Gai (chicken and coconut soup), the salad with beef & tomatoes in a spicy lime dressing, and a spicy eggplant dish. Cant wait to go back.

They can make it taste like Thai food I eat in Thailand many Thai food shops in America make there food for what they think Americans might like which is basically like American Chinese food not original ingredients I know how Thai food should taste from living in the country for so many years and my Superior sense of taste .
