This is for take-out on New Years Eve: we ordered the BBQ Tri-Tip sandwich platter (with fries and potato salad) , Eastern Baby Back Pork Ribs (with garlic mashed potatoes and coleslaw), corn muffins, and a drink. When we called in our order they were speedy yet precise with everything, repeating back the order, telling how much it cost (about $37), and taking down my name and phone number. Picking up the order was a breeze and everything turned around once they forgot to give us our drink. When we got back to our hotel to enjoy our meal and we find out they did not give us any utensils or napkins. They didnt look so busy and to think about it they should ask if we needed utensils or napkins or at least said "Utensils and napkins are over here." The hotel was able to provide what we didnt have and then came the kicker. The portions were reasonable but the food itself was one hit and majority of misses. For the tri-tip sandwich, there was no flavor in the sandwich, the fries were unseasoned, the potato salad was bland. The baby back ribs were great (omitting the bbq sauce), the garlic mashed potato tasted like regular mashed potatoes with a hint of garlic, and the coleslaw that flavorless. The cornbread. . . do I really need to say it? The bbq sauce which came with both of our orders was the sweetest bbq sauce I have experienced in my life. I thought I like sweet bbq but it seemed as though they took bbq sauce and doused it with a ton of sugar. It did not compliment my ribs or the sandwich at all. I came here because it was the only bbq place that was still open around the area when I was driving in from LA. Rib Ranch BBQ is going to be a one time deal for this gal. Atmosphere- N/A Value- 2/5 Food- 3/5 Service- 2/5

Let me start by saying that I am a BBQ enthusiast. I have eaten at some of the top BBQ joints in the US and I write reviews for several publications. I am also a competition judge. I decided to give this place a try for the first time and here are my thoughts: Overall, not horrible like some places i have been to, however i was a bit disappointed. First of all, when I think BBQ, i think of smoky flavor and there was absolutely none. I am not even sure if they smoke their meat. The ribs, which are their claim to fame, also lacked the presence of a spice rub, a staple of premium BBQ and primary source of flavor. The texture was good, but the ribs lacked any bite. The Tri-Tip was very good, very tender and pulled apart easily. Flavor was good, but again lacked the presence of smoky flavor. The chicken was also good, but nothing that made me say "wow". The Hot Links were the worst I have ever had. That recipe needs to be re-worked. The Baked Beans were average, the Cole Slaw was slightly above average, the Garlic Mashed Potatoes were excellent, and the Corn Bread was excellent. On a positive note, I will say that they have hit a home run on their BBQ sauce. I definitely noticed the "layers of flavor they mention in their website bio. Certainly one of the better BBQ sauces I have had over the years. This place could be really good with a few changes - primarily a flavorful spice rub and the use of a traditional smoker.

Christmas songs everywhere way too loud, judge Judy on t.v., one couple where the man is talking way too loud probably so he didnt have to hear the Christmas songs, ceiling fans real outdated, aluminum foils wrappings for takeouts? New decors would, every decade or so, be fantastic for your business, no? The food is probably good if you order like a five star general and tell them exactly how to cook it , what is not acceptable to you, and which pieces in particular you want, i.e. no skinny tough beef ribs. I got the "Fool Rack" all of 4 ribs , 22$ 3/4 skinny and tough, oh and 1 beef rib that tasted good where it had not been burnt while re grilling it. Regrilling is not a real word? Well regrilling is not a word in the dictionary, therefore Im on to something. Changes need be, you have a decent location and I bet the owners are real good cooks... Ill check back later.

Id give this place a 5 star rating but my wife says it was a little expensive. We stopped in today for lunch. Mind you they had a BBQ chicken lunch special for $6.95. That seems really reasonable to me. But the wife says...well you know. Any ways we both had pork pulled sliders out on the patio and they were screaming good. We ate out on the patio. Always wanted to come by here. I drive by all the time and smell the BBQ when theyre grilling out on the street with their huge BBQ grill. Will definitely come back again and have the $6.95 BBQ chicken lunch with the wife so we can both agree to raise them to a 5 star review. Ok I came again got lunch today. We had pulled Kirk sandwich and some big beef ribs. The waitress noticed my wife was chilly and she fired up the fireplace for us. 5 stars it is.

Let me say that the personnel is friendly and the place is clean. But, I stopped by for the first time for a to go order not knowing the restaurant. First off knowing its a to go order you would figure they would give you utensils and napkins (how am I supposed to eat my potato salad). But no, not even salt or pepper packs. The bbq sauce was way too sweet for me and their fries have nothing to season them. I mean nothing. Not even salt, its just fried potatoes. Ive never had any restaurant ever give me fries with nothing on them. Listen guys.. the ambiance is cool but the sauce needs work and the fries need seasoning. I cant say I would come back.. sorry.. Update... Id like to recommend another place called the swinging door if you are ever in north Hollywood. Hands down the best Q Ive had here in the valley

The service is always friendly and prompt. I dont understand the reviews here that complain about the service. The chicken is always tender, the Bar-B-Q sauce is incredible, and always served heated on your table to add to the meal if you want more. I go there at least once a week, and I witness them treat regulars and strangers with the same courteous and prompt service. When I go to other Bar-B-Q places in southern California, they always disappoint me, because the foods no where near as good as at the Rib Ranch! We love this place!!

Have loved it for years! I used to work 5 blocks from there and sometimes would order lunch. Best sauce ever. I since have moved, but whenever Im in the area we take the mandatory Rib Ranch detour. Sometimes, I lay awake thinking of the awesomeness that those baby back ribs are.... You seriously have to try it. Have never had a problem. If its cold theres a room in the back with a fireplace, and if its warm you can just sit in the patio and enjoy some beautiful weather. Go already and have yourself a good meal :)

Food for 6 packed on plates... Everything was just a bloody mess, run together.... Plates inside a bag stacked crookedly.... Smart mouthed counter attendant, to boot..... These guys are just coasting on a long rep.... Food: B Presentation: F MINUS.... My Brothers BBQ, also in Woodland Hills, makes better ribs, and when they pack an order to go, each side order is packed seperately AND bagged to prevent leaks and mixing of flavor.... My Brothers --- The BETTER bet....
