Worst experience ever and we love Gyu Gaku. Was told 15 minute wait but actually took an hour. When we finally got seated, we waited 10 more minutes to get drinks! After we ordered, the rice came out burned and none of the food was seasoned or marinated like it usually is. The garlic shrimp was bland and our grill stopped working in the middle of cooking three times. No one compd us anything or apologized for the problems we had or the wait we endured. If this was the first time I had eaten here I would definitely not be back. So disappointed. We still spend 100 bucks after all that for two people.

ok look - meat? 4-5 stars everything else...less than that. I had read a few reviews of people getting reservations and then having to wait 20 minutes to be seated. We were two of those people. Whats the point of the reservation if youre waiting 15 mins? Its also very loud - and trying to lean over your table where youre grilling meat just to hear the conversation isnt very fun. The meat quality was really good and tasted great but the rest of the food was just OK (salad especially). So, while we enjoyed the dinner we both agreed we probably wouldnt go back again.

This place is really good for their bbq specialties and other contemporary japanese food particularly for lunch and/or dinner. However though, they no longer offer "All You Can Eat" daily as they used to before. They only offer this during a holiday which were really a few throughout the year. Hopefully, theyll do that again even not everyday, at least once or twice a week would be fine and for sure, theyll get more customers by just word of mouth (no more expenses on marketing).

Food is amazing but very long to get food and usually busy but the waiters do there best and are nice. You have the choice to coock your own meet which I think is awesome and they have 3 delicious sauces to use which I over use every time I go there. I recommend the garlic noodles there good too share since they give a lot and easy to share

I was treated to an early dinner here. It was a fun experience with unique food. I really liked the soup! Although it was fairly busy the service was spot on. The only qualm I had was the noise level being a bit too high (music and customers ) but thats definitely not a deal breaker. I highly recommend it.

Mgrs are trained to be morons - no meat to be found in chicken noodles and they charge 8 bucks - best servers have all left becase pathetic mgrs that hide in the back - broken cheap tv they refuse to replace as they advertise big game - again morons running this place

The food is great and consistently good. Service is more of a gamble. This location used to be superior to the van Nuys location but now they are about the same Do get garlic noodles and spicy cold tofu! Their bathrooms are grossly neglected

This time around we had a horrible experience. Most of the meat choices were paper thin and 4 out of a party of six regurgitated our food. After complaining to management, they offered a 25% credit toward another visit. Totally unacceptable!

Lunch specials are a great deal. Its hit n miss of theres a wait but Ive been there when there were open tables but refused to seat us because they didnt have enough servers. Kind if annoying. Great beer special as well but 32oz is a doozy

I really love this place, the teriyaki rice was really good, the food is really good, you cook it the way you like it, the staff was very friendly, it was late at night and the happy hour make a great dinner at a really good price

DO check the bill carefully before paying. Three out of five times, they gave us wrong bills and overcharged. Tonight it happened again, the first bill was $270 with several double charges. It turned out to be a bill of $200.

If you like BBQ. Definitely you will love this place. Happy hours are mostly crowded so its better to reserve your table in advance. Check their menu online, they have all day happy hours for specific days!!

The place is alright. I had an umami crunchy tenkasu rice but it was really bland. The takoyaki was good but the only downside is that there was too much green onion. My seared ahi tuna was ice cold.
