If I could give this place 0 stars I would..... I HIGHLY recommend that you do not try this place..... I tried many different things on the menu and the only thing that was really all that good was the tofu fries.... the portions were tiny and very overpriced. There are way better places around town than this. On top of that... Their customer service was the WORST Ive seen in a long time... I ordered a coke and was given a coke consisting of mostly soda water when I told the water there was no apology instead he made me wait over 15 minutes while he got other drinks for others and then finally swapped out their coke that had ran out. He then brought me a new one with no apology. On top of that when asking questions about the dishes he kept walking away and not wanting to answer our questions. We were very friendly and nice and told him it was our first time here but he seemed as if he didnt want to serve us. I dont know how anyone could give this place more than one star....... STEER CLEAR!!!

This place is a Japanese restaurant that satisfies Japanese people as well. Highly recommended.

Musha was one of my few other Izakaya dining experiences during the past year. I came here to the Torrance location with a friend and ordered about 6 dishes, which included asari manilla clams, cheese baguette, cheese risotto, grilled fish fins, buta kakuni and the takotama. For the most part, the food was tasty. The Japanese chefs were pretty knowledgeable on cooking the food, and the whole vibe of the food taste, along with the environment, felt like a real Japanese pub. The dishes I would recommend are takotama, grilled fish or beef slices, asari manilla clams, and the house special fried chicken. In all, I recommend this restaurant.

Musha is a very consistent and reliable local japanese gastro pub. I have been coming here for around 8 years and the food quality / price ratio / consistency is awesome. Favorite dishes are the spicy tuna, mackerel aburi saba, the anago meshi, ebi mayo and so many others inc the green bean salad. great place to go if you cant be bothered to cook at home or dont want to spend too much money and want a casual meal. service can sometimes be a little off but you always forgive them after a couple of reasonably priced beers or saki. only open for dinner.

Go here from some absolutely delicious meals from the exotic (the octopus/seaweed omelet with ramen, cheese, ginger and leeks) to the deliciously homey (homemade tofu french fries and fried chicken). The salmon that they soak in sake overnight and then cook at the table with a blo torch is one of the better things that has touched my tongue. It is cheap (but fancy as hell presentation and pairing), has great energy, great noise. I really cant say one bad thing about it. Been there at least 20 times over the space of 2 years.

Been coming here for years - Someone mentioned Japanese comfort /fusion food - I think thats a good description of the place - this is not a sushi place although they offer some basic sashimi n is not fancy - but it does have a variety of tasty/creative dishes and has an interesting vibe to it (feels like some of the places Ive visited in Tokyo) - prices r quite reasonable for SM - few of my favorites r Yellowtail collar , Gyozo soup, lobster roll n Butakim - pretty decent Sapporo draft n house Sake too

Musha is a casual spot to grab dinner with outstanding food. (The sashimi was so fresh, and all of the dishes we tried were well cooked and presented.) The atmosphere of the space really reminded me of my experiences eating dinner in Japan. My partner and I sat at the bar, and ate dishes recommended by the wait staff. You must try the Okonomiyaki omelette. It was the best thing on the menu, hands down.

Amazing Japanese fusion restaurant. I do love this place. While portions are on the small side and prices are slight high, the food is worth it. Everything they offer is an interesting take on a common dish. Many of the dishes require preparation on the spot and it is quite a spectacle. For instance, their Creme Brulee is heated right at the table for optimal freshness. Makes for a nice show actually.

Musha just hits the spot when you need a lobster roll fix. But we wanted to try their crab roll too! I like the lobster roll but. The crab roll was so much better! The crab meat is so sweet and buttery! Try it! Dont get me wrong-the lobster roll is always good. I love the toasted bun with butter and always get a combo! It comes with a drink, a pickle and coleslaw or chips.

Wish I could give a 0 star for this. Didnt get to eat here, because after half hour of waiting, the waitress said we could sit at the bar, and immediately let ppl after us sit at tables. When I went for an explanation, she said and I quote "you could sit there or leave". Her advise taken, we showed ourselves out.

Worst service ever. Just because I tried to enter the restaurant alone, when I see seats, the owner makes a hateful face saying "no no" and doesnt allow me to take one. Dont even have to taste the food to know the greedy owner is customer averse. He probably thinks peeps are starving for his "food."

Really enjoyed my birthday meal here. The roll of crab stuffed baked eggplant was satisfying and delightful, as was the saba aburi torched tableside. Great salmon sashimi, and asparagus and mushroom is always memorable and good. Dessert was am extraordinary (flourless?) chocolate truffle cake.

Because of precious reviews I thought lobster roll was the one on a buttered bun. Its basically sushi with avocado and cucumber but its not bad. Had chocolate souffle which was a warm lava cake. A satisfying meal. Service and personal and friendly!

Portions are small, food is expensive, and I dont like the majority of things they have. Only redeeming attribute is that you can have pretty good conversations there - pretty private and quiet and food comes out at equally spaced intervals.

Fantastic food. Unique dishes that all delighted. Not your typical roll and sushi place... which is exactly what I was looking (hoping for). Go with staff recommendations and you really cant go wrong. Very reasonably priced food is a plus!

Best Asian fusion spot in the city!!! Cannot wait to go again! Got in line at 5pm and were seated first! Id suggest making reservations though if you dont want to wait in line-very crowded popular spot. Crispy scallops are a must!

Average meal. Expected better given all the ratings. Sat at the bar and saw them scoop the Spicy Tuna Dip from a container in the fridge onto the plate. Service was good; food came out very quickly. Drinks were a good price.

This place is a hidden gem. It is very easy to talk past it. They have the best takoyaki and sabo around. I love that they sear the saba right in front of you. The house sake has always been a good drink to have.

Didn"t like the food at all. Not something I would go again for. The reason i went in was because i read Sushi on Yelp, but they didnt have that at all. Still gave it a try and didnt like it at all!
