The food is fresh I would agree. However, the service at the counter is not alway consistent. There is one gentleman in particular who is not customer friendly. I have tried to overlook this over the past 8 years living in Hermosa. I recently had surgery and had my husband picked up food for me from here a quite a few times. Today, after one of my first outings driving with my 5 year old daughter, I stopped by after visiting the Halmark store. My daughter need to use the restroom--- really badly. We walked in and were told "Hi guys, this is not a public restroom." I cant imagine Starbucks or McDonanlds or any real cutomer friendly restaurant doing this. Can you imagine going in to a Starbucks you frequent to use the facility and being told that you need to leave? Were I the owner, I would not mind others using the restroom--- at least I would have some people traffic and they could glance at my menu. This is not buisness savy. I can understand if perhaps I were a homeless person frequently using the facility making a mess, they may ask that I go elsewhere. My daughter and I are both well dressed and non-intimidating. Needless to say, I will instead go to the Pick Up Sticks in Torrance from now on even though I live in Hermosa Beach. Hermosa Pick Up Sticks sponsors our school at times (Hermosa View) but obviously they are not entirely kid friendly. After stopping by the Pick up Sticks, I drove my daughter home (the house is minutes away) and she nearly wet herself. I will going to another Pick Up Sticks in the future. And you should too-- fresh food, but not neigborly and bad Karma. I understand it is their policy; however, I cant imagine how this does not reflect upon the entire restaurant, from the cooking to the staff. It looks like what is important to them is really the bottom line.

Pick Up Stix is my favorite Chinese food/Asian fusion chain. You really cant go wrong with anything on the menu, but my favorites are: house chicken, crispy honey chicken, and cream cheese wontons. This particular location is very clean and usually not too busy. There is outdoor seating available and plenty of parking.

I love the orange chicken but I would never eat there inside. This place is very loud - 80db. I measured it. Also they turn on their music very loud, even outside. I asked if they could turn it down and they would only do it slightly.

Not a really good place to eat Asian food, and a bit pricy, I dont mind the price but only if the food is good, my guess is that panda express is better on food quality...

I love their food. No heatlamps. They dont make it until you order it. Patienc is a virtue here, your meal will be hot. This particular location is nice too
