This happened three years ago. The waitress seated me by the restroom but I asked for a better table. She gave me one by the kitchen. I did not want to be difficult so I accepted it. After I ordered the braised tofu, I felt something crawling up my leg. I jumped out of my chair and looked down and was shocked to see a cockroach the size of my thumb - at first I thought it was a toy or some kind of joke because it was standing still. But its long hair-like antennae were moving and exploring the floor. Several people at the nearby tables were also freaked out but I was wearing shorts so the damn thing was crawling on my skin. I was able to call the owner and bring it to his attention. The dishwasher arrived with a can of Raid to deal with the problem. They could have subdued the insect because it was way too large to move fast but they chose to spray it. They removed the lifeless, wet cockroach from the dining area promptly. After a few minutes the food arrived but I was so disgusted from sight of the cockroach and the toxic smell of Raid that I could not eat. The owner was apologetic and offered a free meal but I declined. I went next door to the liquor store to get some bags of chips and soda and by the time I got to my car I saw nearly half the patrons leave the establishment.

This place has been here as long as Ive lived in Redondo Beach which is over 20 years now. They offer really fresh authentic Chinese food, with better than average customer service. Saturday evening is busiest time, but if you get to the restaurant before 6pm youll beat the crowd. I love the fried rice, beef broccoli, and won ton soup. Delicious! You also get this warm tapioca milk dessert after dinner which I absolutely love. This is the best chinese restaurant in Redondo Beach in my opinion.

I went with a friend to this restaurant. I had the fried rice and the shrimp and one other dish I cant remember. Was bed-ridden for a week after that. When I contacted them about it they obviously denied any wrongdoing. It had to have been this place because my friend got sick as well. As for the fried rice, they give you a big serving but it was way too dry and salty to be good fried rice. Also, the place looks run-down and could use a makeover. Not recommended.

The food was great. Great price and great value. All the food came very promptly and this was during the lunch special. BUT! EVERYONE THERE WAS IN A BAD, "I HATE MY LIFE ATTITUDE"! It was so awkward that no one said a word other than, how many (when we first walked in), do you need a high chair (once we sat down with the baby), and are you ready? None of the comments made with a smile. Just the energy of the place would make me never want to go back.

Cantonese are only nice to white people and Cantonese speaker itself, rude to everyone else. Because of you Cantonese guys, Americans think all Chinese speaks poor English and impolite. Almost all women working as hooka are Cantonese. Mostly because Cantonese men think women are less human. Food is great. Speed is great. No politeness. Dont clean up table when customers are still seated.

Your typical family style Chinese restaurant. Portions are sized to share and the booths are big enough to accommodate groups. They have all the typical Chinese food you would expect with no surprises or unique additions. You come here with an expectation and they will give exactly want you expected.

Très bon plats chinois à partager en famille. Pas très cher. Et pas loin de lhotel howard johnson. Possibilité de venir à pied.

An older restaurant that could use a remodel BUT based on the food alone its excellent. They offer all the Chinese classics and the portions are huge. Restaurant service and delivery service is fast, no different than other local Chinese restaurants. Tip: They charge lunch prices up to 3pm.

Great family style Chinese restaurant. Used to be the same owner as the Seafood Town also in Torrance but now owned by different people as of about 4 years ago, however the menu is still very similar. One of the last few great Chinese restaurants that havent changed in the past 20 to 30 years.

The food is very good but the take out service is very tricky - you dont get soup with the take out menu and you also dont get the rice but you pay the same price. The menu doesnt explain that so its kind of a rip-off. I would recommend eating in if you can so you can get what you pay for.

The service was TERRIBLE! A rude woman sat us down, walked away, then nobody acknowledged us for 5 minutes. A man took our order and promptly walked away. Food came quick, which was nice. But once the food came, nobody checked up on us. We even had to flag someone down for the check.

The food here is decent at best. Its local to where I am. But heres the thing, growing up in the 626 area you have some really really good Chinese food. The food here at Seafood Port is definitely not comparable to the ones in the 626 area. But! Its still good for something local.

Food is bland and wait times can be ridiculous. Much of the staff dont speak english very well or at all so communication can be a problem. Seating is uncomfortable and cleanliness is questionable. Prices are reasonable for the mountain of food you get though.

Great value, great food, not the best service. The place isnt super fancy, but they have a back room usually reserved for big parties/events. Their food is usually very fresh, and alright portions. The value is pretty good too, especially during lunch.

La comida esta buena y el servicio rápido. Lo único deficiente es la calidad del servicio al cliente.

Being there is like a nightmare the waiter who took care of us treated us horribly rushed for the order and we took the wrong order and something we never ordered and then got annoyed when I told him we did not order ordered that!!

Was recommended to try this place out by our relatives that live in the area. Not too bad, and it looks like their take out service is really busy as we saw soo many dishes in take out containers when we were there.

The food is very good, but I dont frequent this establishment as much as I would like to do to the waitresses and waiters lack of personality and patron interaction. Would give a five if I was only rating the food.

The quality and the amount of food you get for under $10 is unprecedented for a lunch spot. Service was attentive, but the place gets busy, so be mindful of that. Looking forward to trying some other dishes.

For lunch (11-3), you can practically feed 2 people, if your not a big eater at $7.63w/tax, for good food! Which includes an entre with rice, soup, hot green tea and warm tapioca for dessert. A must try.

First time here. Service was prompt and impeccable. Food was very good (everything could have used a shake more salt but thats a preference thing). Benny was the best part of the night. Thanks Benny!

Very reasonable price for lunch. It would be the largest amount of Fried rice you can get from 5.75. I would suggest you go here with your friends so you can share different flavor in one meal.
