Great place for a beer and a pile of nachos. Or a burger. Or Chili Cheese Fries. You can also order pizza from the place next door, but they do just fine on their own. Clean, well-lit, and kid-friendly, it can get a little bit noisy during sports seasons. This was our go-to place with our young daughter when we needed to get out of the house and could walk her over in her stroller.

If youre a fan of local bay area sports, 3rd ave bar and grill is where youll be if youre not already at the game. Nice cold beer to your left and a huge, deliciously fattening, and yummy pile of nachos on your right, with the sound of cheers and rival banter blasting all around you. Giants baseball is just around the corner- see you there on game day!

They delivered the wrong order, because the bartender apparently did not listen to what I wanted. The food was poor, decor is terrible and the price is extravagant. I cant believe what North Cali folks put up with... The place appeared clean...

fantastic little sportsbar in downtown san mateo, with quick friendly service and above average bar food, as well as some of the staff being great on the eyes most people are regulars

Great spot that only gets packed for post-season sports. Food is not phenomenal, tastes great for a sports bar where there is a view of all the games you want from any seat.
