Bring your food thermometer. The service was fairly good, atmosphere was good, menu was diverse, great wine selection, great sangria. Now for the bad news... If you order a burger here apparently Medium = Raw in the center. Theres no way this was up to 160 degrees fahrenheit (the USDA requirement for beef to be cooked in order to kill e. coli and other pathogens). I dont want to sound like a food inspector, food expert, or snob, but raw beef is raw beef. This wasnt a finely aged steak, it was a burger, thus the beef should be properly cooked. Not only that but the nice brioche bun was burnt all around the edges (not very appealing). Now, to be fair, I had just ended a 27 hour fast so I was fairly hungry, and this wasnt the way I had envisioned breaking my fast. Now, I did eat it and I did pay for it. The waitress was kind enough to offer me a free desert which I declined. She looked at it and I could tell based on the look on her face that she didnt seem to think that raw beef was Medium either, the cook/chef told her to tell me that that was how they cooked it Medium. She was polite and I dont fault her, she was caught in the middle. The chef needs some education, a thermometer, and to have food poisoning once in his life to understand why you cook beef to the proper temperature (especially when a customer orders it Medium). I paid my bill in full and tipped my waitress. If the waitress had been bad or the restaurant had been dirty I would have given less stars. I feel that three is fair based on my experience.

Kirkland has been lacking this sort of good mid-price bistro fair for as long as I have been here (about 2 years). The atmosphere is fantastic, featuring a large and attractive bar, comfortably separated from the dinning tables. Frankly, the interior is attractive enough to hold a place with a pricier menu, but the mix of easy eating sandwiches and flat breads blends nicely with fancier dishes like muskovy duck and hanger steak. The net result is comfortable dinning at a reasonable price. My wife and I have a well behaved 4 year old and we bring her here when we come. They do have booster seats and a handful of dishes, and we have seen other families with kids of similar ages to ours. None-the-less, I am not sure I would go so far as to call this a great place for kids. The staff has always been friendly towards us and our daughter, but it is definitely a place where we think twice and make sure Charlotte is ready to be on her best behavior.

I went to Brix on a Saturday night and it was tastefully full. Not crowded, no one was waiting, but over 80% of the place was filled. I love the decor. Its soft lighting, but not too dark that youre squinting at the person next to you. We pretty much ignored the wine list and asked the waitress what she recommended and it was a type of Riesling. It was perfect for me, I wish I could remember the name! It was sweet, but not candy either with a tiny hint of a dry aftertaste. It was horrible with my food, but I wasnt trying to match. While my date wasnt hungry I was starving and ordered the Grilled Salmon for the entree. DE-LICI-OUS. Thats all I have to say about that! I will be returning to Brix! Great atmosphere, wonderful and helpful staff, yummy food!

Just okay. Went with my boyfriend and dad on a Friday at about 5:30. It was so loud we literally couldnt hear each other at all without raising our voices. Our entrees were really good but I ordered the Caesar salad and it was horrible. The lettuce was obviously from a prepackaged bag. It tasted old, had brown pieces and was fairly wilted. That was about three months ago. This past Saturday night I went there again with my boyfriend, my mom and my sister. I totally forgot about the Caesar salad and ordered it again... so did my sister and mom. Ugh, same thing. The lettuce was far from fresh, clearly they are not interested in using fresh lettuce. Our entrees were good and the service was good... Just dont order the Ceasar salad, trust me.

We went on a Friday night--its brightly lit and had club music thumping--not romantic at all. My pork cheeks were tough and tasted gamey. Honestly, they looked and tasted like they had been microwaved. It was supposed to be served on top of polenta with an apple cider jus--the jus turned out to be straight chicken broth (it tasted straight out of a can), and it cooked the polenta as it sat on my plate, turning the polenta into something resembling cream of wheat. My husband ordered the bacon wrapped cod--the cod was way overcooked. Our waitress was really nice, but didnt even comment when she cleared our still-full plates away--maybe theyre used to it.

Great little neighborhood wine bar in Juanita. Thank goodness they put this quaint comfortable wine bar & restaurant in this North Kirkland/Juanita area - they really dont have anything else for some fine dining except for Cafe Juanita and thats just too expensive for every day dining! The service here and especially the bartendar is/are really cool - the food is good and the happy hour is awesome!

My daughter and I tried Brix for the first time about a month ago, and we keep coming back. I love their food, the well tuned menu, the atmosphere, and their staff. I enjoy the blend of flavors in the food, and compliment their beverages offers. They continue to earn my business each time I return.

great place to stop in for a glass of wine and some conversation with a friend. appetizers were unimpressive (however their mini baguette was just about perfect). staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the wines they serve and washington wines in general.

Great selection of wines. Food never disappoints. Their pizza choices are varied and delicious. Their cheeses and desserts are good too. Whether you want a quiet drink or a full meal, this is a lovely spot.

Food was ok, but nothing fancy or amazing. I had the apple crisp for dessert it was pretty bland, needed more cinnamon and spices. The wine and drink selection was great, try HH if your interested.

Great food at a good price, even though the menu is pretty small. The risotto is delicious and so is their burger. If you get the burger, go for the truffle fries! Good wine selection.

What a great addition to the Juanita area in Kirkland. Amazing food for very reasonable prices. Ambiance has a very cool funk about it and the boutique wine list is fantastic!

Great weeknight dinner spot, casually elegant, totally dialed in to pacific NW style of food. Earthy, rich flavors to go with a nice favorite red wine.

Food is delicious, great wine choices, and has a sleek atmosphere. It is a bit pricey, but still affordable (especially during happy hour).
