I went with a large group, ~16, and we had reservations for 6pm on a Saturday. We were told that our waiter wouldnt be ready for us for 15 minutes. It actually took 20. I was served lukewarm water in a dirty glass and it took 10 minutes to get me a clean glass. It took an additional 20 minutes to get a whiskey sour that was actually prepared well. It took an additional 30 minutes for our waiter to decide we were ready to order. 45 minutes later, my full rack of ribs showed up and they were some of the best ribs Ive had in Washington state. The meat fell off the bone and the sauce was sweet and smokey. Kudos to the kitchen! The waiter didnt return once for a 45 minute stretch and quickly returned with our check that hilariously had a line for tips. We didnt tip well because my wife was served diet coke 3 consecutive times when she clearly asked for a coke sweetened with some kind of sugar each time and politely reminded the waiter that she doesnt want a diet soda. The manager came to our table to ask a guest to change her order because it would place undue burden on the kitchen. Who does that?! If this place wasnt chosen by a friend of mine, I would have walked out after getting the dirty glass. I wont be going back anytime soon because the waiter, nor manager cared that we tipped poorly after being camped out for almost 3 hours (we didnt expect to be there for more than 1.5). I would have expected that they at least ask us what went wrong. I will recommend that my group find another restaurant for our next meeting, so that we can eat dinner before 8pm when we set reservations at 6pm. TL;DR: Food is great (source of the 2 stars), waitstaff is god-awful. Dont go here if youre hungry or want to drink water from a clean glass.

As a mommy with 2 small kids I don’t get to eat out much. But when I do I want the experience to make up for all the other evenings I don’t get to eat out. I am the chef at home and love my job preparing meals with really fresh ingredients so when I eat out I want to be pampered. I was a bit concerned about eating at Earl’s based on the sketchy reviews. Our original plan was to go to Maggianos but we happened to walk by Earl’s on our way and it looked very inviting – great lighting, great crowd, and sleek design. We decided if there wasn’t much of a wait we would take our chances and try it out. There was no wait, which completely shocked me since the place looked really crowded. However, once I entered the restaurant I realized how large and spacious the rooms were. They also have a nice separation between the bar and dining area using a great deal of glass to allow for an open feel without the noise. The hostess we very friendly and asked our seating preference and found a perfect location where we could chat and still people watch. The service was outstanding! Our server was very attentive and accommodating (and drop dead gorgeous for those that are in to that kind of thing). The food was excellent and it came out fast. I have to say it is very refreshing to eat at a restaurant on the eastside and not have to leave at 10p when they close down. We were able to linger as long as we wanted and felt no pressure to leave the table. I can’t say enough positive things about this place.

Fine dining, built specifically for the Bellevue crowd. Cool Fireplace, large sized bar, with a nicely sized restaurant, walking in, you feel the place is spacious, if you get a booth; it suddenly becomes intimate and private, the dichotomy is pretty cool. I guess a restaurant should help you focus on the person in front of you, and it probably helps that there was a beautiful person sitting across from me. To the Food! I had an oven roasted chicken, served with potatoes and a nice wine reduction as the sauce. When you oven roast chicken, there is a small window for perfection, and a large window for not so much; here, they got it just a tad over what I would have liked it, mind you, it was cooked through, I think perhaps, just a little but over, still tasty, since I did finish it. I have eaten here a few other times, the seafood plates are pretty good also, I like my food perhaps on the verge of well cooked, sometimes, maybe a little less so. One of the main reasons I come here, is they have one of my favorite wines, Erath Pinot Noir. A good glass of wine makes the world go round, and I have always said, a good restaurant should leave you more engrossed in the conversation, and focused on the person sitting across, and this place does that. Heres the deal, I love this place for the ambience, the fireplace is amazing, and in Bellevue, the scene is better, and this is one place that I would recommend, if you need food and drinks.

After reading all of your reviews we almost didnt go to Earls for dinner. Everyone said the service was bad, the food just okay and it was overpriced for what you got. Well, the 4 of us didnt find any of that to be true. We were greeted warmly by pretty and efficient girls at the desk. We were asked our preference in seating. We had a large booth in the middle of the dining room and we watched all the food coming out of the kitchen. EVERYTHING LOOKED TERRIFIC! I ordered a Lemon Drop because one of the reviewers said they were good. It was delicious and I would order it again. We found the drinks to be average priced. Definitely not more expensive than anywhere else. The wait staff are all great looking and friendly. Ours was very attentive and helpful. All 4 of us had different dinners and none of us were disappointed in the food or the quantity you got for the price of our meal. When the bill came we were suprised it was as reasonable as it was. We had no trouble with the bill being more than what we ordered like one of the reviewers suggested. The ambiance is fabulous! Service was great! Food was great! Drinks were good sized for the money. All of us want to go back to Earls again................. and SOON!

We went there with a group of 8 of us on a Saturday night. It took them some time to seat a group that size so we went into the bar until our table was ready. The atmosphere was nice but not significantly outstanding. They seemed to have a lot of serving staff on the floor which is nice. However, someone might want to give the women servers a few fashion tips on how to dress. Anyway, the drinks sucked. I ordered a vodka martini and it smelled of urine. I didnt drink it. The menu has a lot of variety and the food was pretty good! It took a long time to get the order out but that was because of the laziness of the serving staff. Clearly the kitchen cares and makes good food with decent portions but the serving staff has just slightly higher abilities than a diner waitress staff in Reno. I know, I sound like a Bellevue snob (which Im not) but when youre going to Lincoln square in Bellevue then you expect a certain quality of service. Its synonymous with the area. Bad service will quickly kill a restaurant in that highly competitive market. It would be a shame to loose a restaurant that serves good food because its service staff sucks.
