Definatly not worth all the money, the manager is really sassy and always has an attitude. The employees could be better trained as they seem like they have a "just stumble into things and bump into wall" kind of attitude and personality. The food is mediocre and my chicken is almost always undercooked. The sides are terriable, what is supposed to be hot is cold and what is supposed to be cold is warm and funky tasting. Last of all, who the hell charges for an extra sauce?!?!?! I have never been to a popeyes that charges extra for another sauce, expect this one. Possibly the worst eating experiences have happened here.

Im reviewing Popeyes as a fast food place. I think its silly when reviewers rate a sit down high class restaurant on the same scale as a far cheaper, far faster restaurant. That being said, the Popeyes in SLO is pretty on point. Our food was very tasty, reasonably priced, and ready for us within just a couple minutes. The chicken was not soggy and microwaves tasting, as some chicken tends to be when it is left under a heating lamp. Red beans and rice are always delicious, as are the biscuits.

Drove an hour to have Popeyes. Was very disappointed! Half way through eating a chicken strip it was purple and pink. I took it back and explained I was unhappy and would like my money back. The managers said they couldnt give me my money back. They said they would make me another (one) chicken strip. I had lost my appetite, why would I want to continue eating?!? Not what we expected! Definitely wont be going back.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The product and price is terrible compared to everyone that I have been to down in Southern California when family and friends visit from down there they say the same thing. The chicken pieces are very small and are all crust no meat, side portions are filled less than half and there special are expensive if there is any. They dont provide what is seen on commercials.

I have been missing Popeyes ever since I moved here from Chicago. Apparently theyve changed their menu since I left. The po boy is no replacement for their previous chicken sandwich, served on a roll with whole lettuce leaf, tomato and mayo. They dont even have tomato anymore. Anyways , the location was clean, employees friendly, but this isnt the Popeyes I remember. Im probably not going to come back

Am not satisfied with their service i odered mashed potatoes an got freaken beans an rice i dont like beans at all i also orded a large drink with my combo an ended up with a regular. Not happy with this location at all. The lady lied to my face saying my mash potatoes were in the box. And no blacken ranch had to get regular ranch and the ranch as bad it was disgusting.

Worst Popeyes I even at. Chicken is dry and over cooked even at just past 11:15 am and so are the red beans and rice. Multiple visits, same level of quality. They also treat napkins as if they are gold and refuse to give you more than 3 despite the greasy chicken you have to eat with your hands because the sporks they provide will break if you try to use them.

I love the chicken, however, I have tried all of the sides. At best they are average and seemed to processed. Good chicken requires time, as should the sides. If it were easy everyone would do it. Spend some time making the sides as good as your chicken and I am sure the doors will never rest closed. You sit on a Silver mine, now make it Gold!

Love that spicy chicken, so juicy with just the perfect crust! Biscuits that melt in your mouth, and yummy sides (my fave is the AMAZING red beans and rice!) I had sent a message to Popeyes Corporate that SLO was without any chicken places, and Im glad they took care of the problem. Thank you for coming to SLO, Popeyes! :)

These guys get my order wrong at least every other time. No Red beans and rice and fries is not the same as mashed potatoes and gravy. When I ask for ranch I expect there to be ranch not tartar sauce. Maybe hire people with a basic understanding of english and technology rather than the latest shipment from mexico

When they ran out of their boneless chicken tenders, we had to wait a while for them to make them. However, they were nice and was sorry about the wait and gave us a free dessert pie. They are usually REALLY fast about getting the order out. They usually have their tenders ready to go. I like their original tenders.

Not that great, but convenient and tasty the last time we went there which was recently we only got half of the jambalaya in the family packet I think because they ran out and they didnt want us to wait a long time for it but they could have off or something else like green beans, great CS from manager

Came and was closed before their hours said they were closed. It was an hour before and they said they couldnt open the store even thought the sign said they were supposed to be open. Obviously they need new management. This isnt okay. Wont be returning if this is how the store is run.

I thought Popeyes cooked your chicken to order so it was fresh & HOT. Well, not here in SLO. My chicken tenders were not hot at all and obviously had been cooked who-knows-when. Very disappointed in this Popeyes. And their oven was down so no biscuits.

Popeyes has decent food ATA reasonable cost. Selection is limited to chicken, fish, shrimp, and assorted sides. Its all tasty, and service is quick & friendly. The dining area is very clean. They could put out a few easy-access napkin dispensers.

I hadnt had Fried Chicken since I was a kid and I was expecting Popeyes to be extremely greasy and oily like KFC. I was pleasantly surprised by how good this chicken was! Definitely going back!

Great place, good food, reasonable prices and very clean. They have a very friendly staff and one of those new fountain machines that offers flavored Dasani sparking water. The best!

It can sometimes be busy but the staff are friendly and helpful. The food usually comes out quickly and the restroom is clean. I have never had a bad experience here.

Pretty good Popeyes, be wary I once bit into a spicy chicken breast and oil sprayed into my eye and I was like oh my god my eye but its all good now
