Manager "Les" is uneducated with zero business savvy and professionalism. He over micromanages the employees while oblivious to the bigger picture. I had the unpleasant experience of dealing with him when me and a group of two friends were looking for a decent place in downtown. We decided to give this place a try despite the negative reviews online. I paid for the 4 person Groupon. Like the other Yelper, one of our friends had an emergency and could not make it to dinner, so we thought no big deal, these things do happen. I was shocked later when my Groupon was denied. The reason: Les requires that all 4 people must be present. When I explained the situation, he had trouble reasoning why he could not honour our Groupon. He kept repeating "the rules say it" for at least 5 times. This guy has a brain the size of a pea because all he could do was repeat the same sentence like a mindless drone. I got so sick of it I told him I understood the first time, but that he still did not answer my simple question. Perhaps this was a bait and switch scheme because they know that a party of 4 would spend over $100, which was also the value of the Groupon? I guess I cant say I was too surprised because this was obviously someone who thinks very "small". We ended up leaving for a classier restaurant next door that was more reasonably priced.

This place is a rip off! I would not recommend this place to anyone. My daughter had a baby shower there and she told the manager that her budget was between 600 and 900 dollars and closed bar. That is what is stipulated in the contract,at the end of the night, this little ignorant manager his name is Les comes with a tab that is for 4100.00 dollars. He said that people ordered at the bar drinks and she asked for the bar tab and he couldnt come up with it.He never advised my daughter that she was over her limit. He gave her 100 tickets for drinks and at the end of the night she handed him 41 tickets back so she could get credit for them and he grabbed them from her hand and threw them in the trash. He charged her 695. For tips, because it was an outside patio party and they brought out the food in 3 pans.No servers! They just brought out food and lunch was at 1:00 and they didnt have it out till 2:30.an hour and a half late. The manager never showed us the break down on the tab.Just because my daughter and her husband had a few drinks,he took advantage of the situation! Be careful with this restaurant, they will take you to the cleaners! Karma is a b....!! Good luck if you ever walk into this place, because they will rip you off!!

The food here is terrible. You can, almost literally, go anywhere else in downtown for a better meal. Less than 10% of places are this bad. You, almost literally, cant do worse. But the bar is great. Well stocked, good service, by all means if having straight shots and beer here youll have a good experience. Vibe is nice, layout suits it, music matches. If they stop serving food tomorrow this will become a four start review. The food really is that bad. I came in an hour before closing, true, but in my experience poor food conduct near closing is indicative of larger, and systemic, problems. Having worked the industry before I can see the closing down early, and I get it. So Ill come back in six months or a year, but this is clearly a management and staff problem. The only way this place could possibly still be open is because its attached to a hotel, but literally a 5 minute walk will do your taste buds a favor: Good Karma, Cafe Stritch, and even original Joes, Grill on the alley, and Il Fornaio are so much better than this place it is literally ridiculous. Ive lived in downtown for 5 years and never heard a good thing about this place and now I know why.

Staff is very knowledgeable about their great beer and cider collection. They infuse a few of their own cocktails which are delicious! Weve been coming here for many years now and are never disappointed by the food--my favorite is the house beef dish yum! Fun atmosphere, nice outdoor and indoor seating. Located in the historic building now run by the Four Points Sheraton and only a few steps from the VTA. Les, Matt and the entire staff are professional and always eager to please. This is our go-to spot for special occasions and out-of-town guests, thanks again for another lovely evening Matt and Les!

Many vegetarian options (though not marked on the menu) & they can replace oyster sauce for vegetarians. The portions are huge! We used a Groupon, & had a lot to take home. We would have been fine with an entree, an appetizer or soup, and a small portion of rice. We had the hot & sour soup which was very flavorful, vegetarian chow fun which was good but bland compared to the other flavorful items, mongolian vegetables with tofu which was cooked in a nice sauce, and fried tofu which was very good. Great service from Christine and Matthew. Elegant restaurant located in the 4 Points Sheraton.

We went for Dine Downtown and were definitely impressed. The menu for Dine Downtown was great with lots of tasty options. We would definitely go to eat off of the regular menu in the future. I had a classic gimlet, cucumber flavored. Then we split the egg flower soup and Chinese salad. Appetisers were the soft shell crab and crab cake. For entrees we had an orange glaze sea bass and ribeye. Finally, dessert was a chocolate lava cake and cheesecake. We were stuffed and it all tasted incredible! Definitely recommend.

This restaurant serve famous Chinese food such as Young Chow Fried Rice, and also steaks, fishes, etc. I ordered a rib eye with medium, but the meat was tough and It takes time to chew it before I can completely digest it in my mouth. It is not worth to use that price to have steak there. My friends ordered Chinese food there and they feel tasty. It do not provide free parking but instead I have to pay a down town public parking rate in a public parking next to it.

Attended a work gathering here. They put on a great spread of food, tasty snack morsels to accompany initial drinks followed by a decent main meal. Id swear the mixed drinks for stronger with each order. Music was tolerable but aimed towards a younger crowd, as Im 40 it wasnt my cup of tea but can see the auraly. Got plenty of people up and dancing and a good time is a good time.

This place is great! One of the best happy hours, around... $5 appetizers, $5 well, and $5 beer/wine. But, youll have to eat in the bar to enjoy it. That said, the restaurant is great - Ive yet to have anything there Ive not liked... and dont forget to check GroupOn prior to your visit -- its often good for 20-40% off your bill. Highly recommended!

So Tim our waiter was amazing! Food was good family style portion on most entrees. ASIAN fusion is definitely in the menu. But if you do not want asian influence you have great steak options or take advantage of their beverage selection! List for days. Thanks Tim for our first visit to Mosaics.

Get the Groupon and go here!!! So worth it. The food is incredible and the service is awesome. If you dont have the Groupon, their happy hour is SOLID. Sometimes you could even do both and then thats just crazy :-D Cant wait for the next dinner here with friends!
