SPICYY FOOOD! I love spicy food and Ive been wanting to try this place for awhile now. I always get cravings for Sichuan food every now and then and this place definitely fulfilled my craving :) I came here for lunch on a weekday and it wasnt that busy. The restaurant is pretty big and there are plenty of seating. Its michelin guide recommended for the past 3 years, so it has to be pretty good. The lunch specials here are cheap! Everything on the lunch menu is $6.50 and it comes with soup and rice and there was a lot of food! I got the fish in sichuan sauce and my boyfriend got the mapo tofu. Their lunch specials doesnt come in individual plates like bento boxes, they serve it to you family style. So the entrees are its own dish and you could share it which is nice. I was surprised by how much they gave :D I really really liked the sichuan fish, it was tangy and spicy. I thought the mapo tofu was okay. It was definitely spicier than the fish and you could taste the chili but I didnt think it was that good in comparison to the fish. We also got the Zhongs dumpling to share and that was delicious. The dumplings are spicy but not too much and they have a slight sweetness from the sauce. You also get a lot of dumplings for the price. Overall though, I thought the food was great! The service was a little bit lacking, we had to wait for a bit but it wasnt terrible. I would definitely come back again if I crave something spicy :)

Me and my boyfriend have gone here once a week since we moved here in August. Their Ma po tofu is authentic and amazing and their fish flavored pork is fantastic! The sweet and sour pork is also amazing (one of the best Ive ever had)! They are so nice and friendly and I am learning chinese slowly but surely with help from them and my boyfriend who lived in Chengdu for two years and fell in love with the food there. Also amazing is that for such fantastic, authentic, wonderful food it only costs us about 30$ total for a dinner for two and about 3 days worth of leftovers (to tide us over until we go back haha). We take everyone we meet here! One thing I will say is that most of the food does have at least a bit of kick to it but you should be safe with the fish flavored pork and sweet and sour pork and the twice cooked pork =) But really, you HAVE to try the ma po here.

My first visit to this restaurant and it was a great experience. We had the fish fillet with spicy tofu, boiled chicken in fiery sauce and the vegetable noodles. The fish fillet were my favorite but the food overall was very good and spicy. The fiery sauce has a lot of hot oil and may not be for everyone but I love the lip numbing spiciness. And all the portions are huge. Well definitely be back.

Sugar! Full of it. In a Szechuan place when I asked for spicy. This was the pork in fish tasting sauce. I have had Szechuan fish curries at their fiery, flavorful best. Got chili powder when I asked for chili oil (notice the small bowl at the top). The pork was tender, enough rice and a decent deal. Maybe they are toning down the stuff to appeal to specific clientele.

An authentic Szechuan restaurant in south bey. Many cold and hot dishes are very well done with consistent quality. In a Chinese restaurant, stir-fried dish is so depend on the skill level of the cook that the quality often varies. This place seems has better quality control. Stay away from their noddle and dim-sum dishes, it is not the specialty of their chef.

As a Chengdu native, I would say their Sichuan Cuisine is genuine, where their spices are directly from Chengdu, which make the dishes so authentic. They also have good selection of not-that-spicy dishes and my parents-in-laws who have minimal endurance of spicy food can enjoy as well, such as the non-li-steamed-fish... Keep up the good work!

Pretty good shuzcheng place if you like spicy food. They even have some unique dish like frog. The place is pretty cozy and spacious. Service is friendly and nice to kids. I recommend their frog dish and beer duck. They also have a few non spicy dishes such as fried noodles which you can order for kids.

One of the best Szechuan style restaurants in Bay Area. Located in a plaza with tons of restaurants and lion supermarket. Weve been here twice and enjoyed most of the food we ordered. Recommend: Chongqing spicy chicken (辣子鸡), Braised whole fish (烤鱼)

This is literally one of the best Chinese restaurants in the bay area. My girlfriend and I live an hour away, but we still drive all the way to Milpitas about once a week just to eat here. Totally worth it!

Service was exceptional. Food, really good. Warning: If you are adverse to spicy food, do not order any item from the menu which has a little pepper icon next to it. You will get serious heat.

I liked this place a lot. Portion sizes are normal and decemt size, and food tastes better. Far better experience here than at "super-size me" restaurants.

Impressive Sichuan food. By far the best in Bay area. Love the sweet & sour cabbage! Wish the dine in would have been cleaner :( but the food makes it up all!

Authentic taste but gotten more expensive for the amount after changing owner. Taste of dishes is not consistent sometimes.

The fried rice was extremely greasy and I didnt want to keep eating it. There was no reason for it to have that much oil.

One of the best Sichuan restaurants in the Bay Area. Ask the waiter about the specials on the whiteboard.
